  1. Going back a bit I know.... I have owned a Peugeot 306 S 16 & a 306 Gti 6 both from new, did lots of miles and they were faultless. Sometimes you are lucky I suppose..
  2. SWMBOs' much loved & missed Ford Puma had 21000 miles on a 51 plate. The purchaser rang our local garage (who have always serviced the car) to check that the history & mileage were genuine, sadly the fact that it had been looked after like a family member did not significantly boost the value......
  3. Now that just about everyone has a camera with them ALL the time, how come we don't see loads of pics of UFO's...?...or ghosts....?

  4. ...........Walter Houston..........??? This Is a Google/Wiki Free Answer......impressed ??
  5. How come no one in "Coronation Street" wears a fleece...??

  6. Well.......disguise or not 1st impression is that it looks as dull as dishwater. :(
  7. Just seen a lady in a 13 reg white 1 series (coupe ?) using one. Think that I shouted "NO" out loud........
  8. News of Skoda dealers awards 123 here: http://www.am-online.com/news/2013/4/10/top-uk-retailer-for-skoda/32736/ Sorry if it's already been posted.

  9. Last time I bought a touch up kit from the dealer about 2 years ago it was £6.....ish so not too expensive.
  10. Kinda interesting how some folk on here can be "Holier than thou" over silly little items and then exhibit rather poor behaviour with more serious issues.....! Shame on you !

  11. My dash squeeks & creaks when the temp is below 2 deg, then stops as it warms up. It is clearly made from high quality intelligent plastic that can read a thermometer...

  12. Slightly off at a tangent but the "Hogwarts" comment reminded me........... A few years ago (about the time of the 1st Harry Potter Film..) I was walking along the River Severn at Arley (only relevant if you know the area.....) early one frosty Sat morning. The Severn Valley Railway runs virtually alongside the river and lo & behold out of the mist came the steam train used in the film and still bearing the "Hogwarts Express" name plates. I believe the film company were not too keen on the SVR retaining the livery and I certainly never saw it again sadly. In no way am I an expert on this type of thing but the engine used was ".....Something Castle"...? Thanks for reminding me of that bizarre encounter..!
  13. In this weeks "Classic Car Weekly" there is a feature on the Vauxhall Astra GTE Mk 2 from the mid 80's. This was quite the dogs bits in its day & with a 0-60 of 8 secs (ish) was considered very rapid indeed. It was THE benchmark hot hatch of its time.
  14. Who exactly is responsible for designing the rear end of new Toyota models......? & are they doing it for a joke....?

  15. I really really did not like my Fabia vRS estate & got rid of after a few months. However I did have use of the hatch for a while when mine was poorly and I liked that a lot. If it's a good un then no doubt it will be a good choice for you....enjoy.
  16. Good review thanks. I really like the exterior but sadly the interior is poo....
  17. Audi is to fit DAB as standard across the range from April. Skoda/VW next......maybe ?

  18. My "In Car Mania" is for torches, a wind up one in case the battery fails...( Fails as in..I forget to change the batteries..!) in the regular one & a spare in the boot just in case.
  19. .....my Fabia vRS estate lasted 5 months so you never know...........
  20. I've seen 4 Nissan Cubes in as many days....is someone giving them away.....?

  21. "The Stereophonics" always thought they were a bit naff but their new "single" is truly the dogs bits.....

  22. There was a green vRs Octy in the compound at Autosales (Bilston) last week. Of course it might be a car already ordered..? but worth a look ? They do look loads better in Green than I ever thought..
  23. Thanks everyone for taking the time/trouble to respond. I think a little bit of research involving many of your suggestions is the order of the day before the plastic comes out ! Cheers
