I had the pleasure of attending one of Sussex's Speed Awareness courses, having been nabbed for 47 in a 40. Most of the other attendees were over 60, and one was absolutely stone deaf, so I doubt she derived much benefit from the presentation :( It was quite entertaining when we got in the car for the practical side though, when the instructor asked if we had done any advanced driver training, and we both told him we had race licences To be fair to him though, he assessed our driving in the first 15mins, told us he felt perfectly safe in the car whilst we were driving, and we spent the rest of the time working on 'advanced' driving techniques.

I'm looking forward to the Nov event too. The only thing I think they could improve is the knowledge level of the 'stewards' on the gate. Mostly they seem to know nothing about cars, and it is left to them to decide what cars fit with the theme and should be on the circuit or in the paddock, what should be in the on-circuit car park, and what should be in the public car park. As a results, you get a few strange cars in the paddock (SEAT Leon at 'Sushi Sunday') and some cracking (and relevant) machinery in the car park.

Cheers. They keep me happy The Octavia and the Ibiza I don't have any decent shots of the Leon. I might have to do something about that when I get the wheels back from being re-furbed. The other Ibiza in the photos is my son's. As I have been stripping bits out of my GTI they have been going in his car, so he now has a 1.4CL with half leather seats and electric windows

I registered on here a while back, but I just paid for Freedom membership (mostly so I can advertise my wheels for sale :sorry:) so I thought I'd say hello. I have a boggo standard Octavia Mk1 RS, which my partner usually drives. My normal transport is a Leon Cupra R with Revo stage 2 & coilovers etc., and I have an Ibiza GTI track project. We live on the south coast in 'The Last Resort'
