  1. Anyone who doubts how quick the new VRs is going to be, should take the trouble to test drive a Boccanegra, I took one out recently, it an absolute licence loser, the DSG changes so fast in manual mode on the paddles. It would be impossible for a driver of a manual stick shift to keep up, the sound track from the engine as the throttle auto blips on the way down is unbeliveable. Dont take my word for it, try it out out.
  2. I should have said 2.0 CR 140 bhp engines
  3. Year 11 Changes on Superb From build week 22 Keyless entry KESSY GSM 111 Premium new funcionality of bluetooth, no more r sap will pair with most commercially available phones Heated windscreen available on 2.0 CR and 1.6 CR engines Clutch pedal interlock, cluth pedal must be pressed before engine can start No more umbrella new colour Amethyst metallic now available for hatch There are few other very minor changes, but nothing to worry about
  4. You can't, if you look at the speedo you will notice that there is no KMS on the dial so the digital readout replaces that.
  5. DPF's are no problem as they are easy to regenerate by following the instructions in the owners handbook, it is only if the warning lights are ignored that the car goes into limp home mode and has to regenerated by a dealer, the latest common rail engine automatically regenerate the DPF so there wont be the same problem with these engines as they finally take over from the old PD's
  6. I am now on my second Superb 11, previously I had an SE with the Bolero and I thought that the sound quality on CD using the 6 CD auto changer was fantastic on the standard system, of course I am no Hi Fi expert, but you know what sound good and I have loads of new cars in the last 40 years including Jags and Mercs. I now have upgraded to an Elegance with Columbus which no longer has the Auto changer, but I have got to grips with the SD card reader, which once mastered is incredible, again the sound IMO is as good as it gets, I wouldnt bother with an upgrade, because I couldn't imagine a significant improvement.
  7. Try ringing Hobins in Manchester, they are not too far from you, I know they have a Mocca Brown with cream interior coming in soon its a 170 CR with DSG, speak to Alec Turnbull on 0161 708 9000 he is good chap.
  8. I have had my Superb 2.0 140 SE manual for 3 months and 5k miles, no faults whatsoever and it gets more economical as time goes on best so far 63 mpg on my daily commute, the kids love the space in the back, (even my wife who a few years ago wouldn't be seen dead in a Skoda is proud to be in it and now owns a Fabia 1.9 TDi Sport). This Superb is an utterly brilliant car, which has replaced a Jaguar X Type 2.2 Diesel, and prievious to that a C Class Mercedes 2.2 CDi, all bought new. I personally cannot understand how Skoda do it for the money, I will definitely get another, and if I can persuade my boss it will be a 3.6 V6 One thing I have noticed is that Audi drivers seem to take umbrance on the motorway and seem determined to go faster, as any one else come across this? And onother thing has anyone else noticed that the side profile is so similar to Bentley Continental Flying Spur ? and you see more of those driving around than Superbs.

    Hi!

Been looking at the website for the first time the other day so I thought I would join. Bought a 2008 Fabia 1.9TDi Sport (only had 1300 miles on it) recently for my wife to replace her MG ZS 120+ which was written off recently by some berk who drove staright in to her with a Saab 9000 on the M65 at about 90mph and totalled it comprehensively,Luckily no injuries. Really pleased with the Fabia, went to Liverpool in it about a month ago, Me driving, and I got an indicated 76mpg average on the trip computer ! Also got a 2009 Superb 2.0 TDi 140 SE model which has not yet done 2000 miles, lovely car to drive and on my commute to work (32 miles) returns about 52 mpg so happy with that, and has a fantastic turn of speed when you want, Kids love the space in the back. I find a lot of people look at the car and must be wondering what it is. There we are thats me!
