  1. We talk about good old days and bring up cars like Alfa Romeo. I mean come on guys. I'm going to give you a good old reminder, it was a car that was ahead by at least 10 years when it was first introduced. Can You guess wich car I mean? -No? The AUDI QUATTRO RALLIE !!! YEAH! Now that's a performance car. Would whipe out any M3. Cheers, FD
  2. You want to see some good old days Skoda's take a peak at those links: http://koti.mbnet.fi/skodapow/Gallery/kouvola/imagepages/kuva005.html http://koti.mbnet.fi/skodapow/Gallery/savonlinna/index.php?page=1&columns=5&rows=10&res=0&show=012.jpg http://koti.mbnet.fi/skodapow/Gallery/savonlinna/index.php?page=1&columns=5&rows=10&res=0&show=011.jpg Looks great, probably luxourious that era. Cheers, FD
  3. It's an easy way for VAG to make some cash on us.
  4. But I want the Fabia WRX, with 250bhp (dream on!).
  5. Can't say I ever liked to Alfa 75, but the Alfa GTV was very fun to drive. Only problem was the corrotion, the car wasn't built to be driven in wet conditions. More like a mediterranean boy-racer. It loved the heat. /FD
  6. With that description it doesn't fall under monkeys more under bears.
  7. I don't get it, what's wrong with FWD? It depends on how you want your car to perform. If you want to drag-race or burn your tires away in a new york minute then the choice is simple RWD. In my oppinion the 2nd safest way to travel is with FWD, 1st is ofcourse the 4WD. RWD cars are a lot funnier to "play" with then both FWD and 4WD (Wich is good for donuts). Alfa's are great cars, just that they haven't been recognized in the same podium as Audi, BMW & Merc. I mean let's face it Alfa has still a long way to go if they want to play in that region. Cheer, FD
  8. I think it's wrong to compare the S4 to the M3, more justice would be the RS4 vs M3. I just think that both the S4 and the M3 are fantastic cars, both with their positive and negative sides. The only problem is the pricetag, the fuel consumption and the insurance for both of them. I mean who could sleep well at night knowing that some burgler is luring in the dark to snatch your S4/M3. What a nightmare. I just stick to my vRS Cheers, FD
  9. But why only recommend a Bailly, you have a lot others like ABD, Forge, Porsche original DV or why not an Mitsubishi EVO DV? I'd choose a Forge 007P DV myself. Cheers, FD
  10. No, nothing to be taken that serious Dutch, just that somewhere in my head I thought someone asked me what's the "heaviest" tuned Octavia vRS that Dahlb
  11. Ok guys just got the news on the highest Dahlb
  12. I thought a made this thread to be talks about tuning the Fabia RS and now it has transformed into a lounge. This reminds me of the DV-thread a made about a week ago when suddenly it became a greek gathering. Please note that I don't mean any harm . Go Fabia Go!!
  13. sorry i mean 1.000-1.300 ofcourse (silly me!)
  14. Well where do you live Jon? Let's assume you live in central europe (netherlands for example), it's around 10.000-13.000km. /FD
  15. When a swedish TV-chanel (Kanal5) did a film about his mad Golf RSI, they asked him what the Ingolstadt people thought of him and his "tuning" company, he simply answered: -They said that I don't know where the limit is and that I don't know anything better then making mad tuning. Well, I agree. I can't really tell if he likes the Skoda or not, but he can tune all VAG/Audi/Skoda/Seat cars that's for sure. Maybe he wants someone to take a big step and choose the mad 550bhp upgrade /FD
  16. Time to pay them a visit with your Octavia then? Cheers, FD
  17. I just saw that Dahlbeck Racing in Sweden already have a "chip" for the Fabia vRS. The power you could expect is 163bhp, not bad at all !! here's the link: http://www.audituning.com/SelectUpgrade.asp?Language=eng&Manufacturer=Skoda&Models=Fabia%20RS Cheers, FD
  18. LOL, really funny! I'll buy one of those...
  19. Is there any powergain in doing this mod?
  20. Like I aswell as other people have said, it's impossible to get the original vRS 0-60 in 6,7s. The time's should be more like 7,5s and the quartermile around 15,9 s. But a chipped or modified vRS has no problems whatsoever to get those "Fastsaloons" times. I agree that it's a good laugh! If one should trust their times, the vRS is fully comparable to a BMW 530. Cheers, Nikos
  21. I've just ordered these beauties: Golf R32 style for the vRS (around 60
  22. I have a nice Pioneer 8" passive sub-woofer with a DLS ultimate amplifier, it sounds good enough. I've changed my frontspeakers and replaced them with Infiniti Kappa series (with tweeters & filters) and it sounds amazing. The stock-speakers are REALLY, and I mean REALLY lame. Poor quality! Cheers, FD
  23. Hi Isaac, it looks great!! Nice design and all. Cheers, FD
  24. I just read (from the swedish skoda forum), that when they got these clockings at 0-60 in 6,75 s (Bilsport magazine) they measured the testcar's bhp, it showed 200bhp!? That's one explenation, the other one is that the measurement equipment wasn't quite right that day!? Well, I don't know what to think. My logic tells me that indeed that testcar Skoda vRS was 'tuned' to performe better, for comercial purposes. /FD
