  1. Yup.. same wheel as you will get saving for a polar!
  2. I've got a phone pickup/ put down and what i assume is a voice control trigger button too... retrofit
  3. Ahh sorry, i miss read your comment. okies. i don't NEED maxidot display but i do want the MFSW so either way i go, i need a polarfis. next months plan then
  4. 3C8 BAP will talk to the Pre-FL Maxidot which uses DPP? is this a typo or is the rosstech list wrong?
  5. Oh, quick question.. further reading. BAP and DPP can be used at the same time? looks like the OPS upgrade uses BAP and that's why the old PDC i have won't display on it? So as i have a bolero i can use DPP/BAP but will not have it show on the maxidot? will that work with the MFSW buttons?
  6. Thread hijacking slightly I have a Pre FL, with a bolero MFSW and maxidot retofitted Just picked up a loom from Eddie.. need to get an appropriate BT unit. i'm going to guess my options for units are limited with them being DDP... but i'm struggling to work out how they present, Maxidot or Bolero (or both?) Wanting HTP and A2DP... so 1k8-035-730 B/C/D or 1K8-051-730 A/B?
  7. I think.. if you speak to eddie he can do something with the dash pod lights.. as he tweaked my cluster to always have the LED's on the needles lit
  8. I thought the FL mfsw used a different communication method?
  9. new steering wheel controller if yours is not a MAX unit. new loom from the slip ring (look up which slip ring/controller on here: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions) and.. well the new steering wheel!
  10. Interested in some too.. drop me a PM when you have enough for side lights and map lights
  11. water leak from water housing on the battery end of the block. or leaky rad... i know mine is leaking.. but its £300 to replace:\
  12. Quick question as i've partially installed mine.. which cable route did you go through into the engine compartment? did the interior part but ran out of time trying to find a nice way to get it though into the engine!
  13. should not need coding unless someone has set something specific. if not VCDS map is your friend! Grab one from ebay, normally pretty cheap!
  14. should have the oil spec on it. i wouldn't use anything but recommended spec if you don't want to cause yourself problems!
  15. Nah, i have the same issue, short and a 30LB+ bike :( it will be the hatchback/saloon etc, same as me! I did a ton of looking into it when i got my car, ended up going with the towbar as its secure, and dead easy to throw the bikes onto, secure and keeps the inside of the car cleanr, while my friends are taking wheels off to put them inside their car etc. With the weight of that bike, i really would not be recommending using anything but towbar.. if that comes off its going to make a mess out not only yours, but someone else's car :|
  16. if you do smash some glass. stick some really sticky plastic to it and use an automatic centerpunch or something similar., that way you don't end up with a ton of glass. i had a window smashed by kids throwing rocks at cars.. years later and i still find bits :(
  17. the hatchback is a tricky one. as the straps are normally hooked onto the boot lid, but its glass at the top which is bad! roofbars an option?
  18. Accidentally ordered a second kit. includes dash button and loom.. plenty of guides about on how to retrofit it. £20 + postage
  19. if you feel brave. you can always fit it yourself.. involved a bit of cuting if the bumper is not already cut and removal/replacement of the crash bar behind the bumper.. electrics, depends which route you go can be easy with the bypass.
  20. not sure about the newer engines, but my 2.0 fsi had a water housing which leaked on the end of the block next to the battery box, cost about £15 in parts to replace and/or it is rad. either way.. 2012 = still in warranty so to the dealership?

  22. I have a thule 9403, never had an issue and its been on many long distance trips with 3 x heavy duty XC MTB's, it also tilts which means you can get access to the boot when the bar is in place, handy when you suddenly realise you left something important in the boot before loading up! Towbar, i have a westfalia fixed towbar which is not seen by the parking sensors, you can get CAN-BUS compatible wiring which will allow the car to detect and turn off the rear sensors when devices are connected.. or you can just go for a cheapre bypass relay and ignore the sensors going crazy while you reverse!
  23. CCM is behind the glove box.. the Fobs can be paired using VCDS, just need to adapt them.. but there are a few different frequency ones so that's what you need to be careful about. I have a CCM for sale in the trading forum/ebay and i can give you the details of the fob (434mhz) which you can buy separately.
