I am ZERO expert on Merc but I think you are comparing runners with slippers there? Would Merc not be seen as a "Class" above? I know I would look at someone differently if they were driving a Merc as compared to the VRS!

IS there not a "matting" under you bonnet? I am not near my own at the moment but I would swear there is some, but that could have been another car. I know the ST definitely had it.

Guys Any idea of readings when its a diesel? I have a 2013 TDI and could do with some extra MPG more so that the poke! Do you lads all bring it to "specialists"? Not coming like with like there at all, the 1.6 mondeo or the 1.4 Octavia with the VRS. 1.6 engine in that mondeo was pure heavy when I drove it, not sure what the 1.4 is like in the Octavia, but its like having a cool bag and a fridge. If you drive the VRS you won't want to buy either of the other 2.

Same issue on the front, 2 sensors on instantly yet nothing there. One is worse than the other. In fairness the dealer is swapping out as the car is on 11 months old.

Have 29,000 kms on the front, 3mm on it, on rubbish country roads on a daily basis. Looking at the CS2 are 140 euro a corner! What are lads paying?

Had a mondeo ST and a Mazda 6 MPS previously, miss the MPS most but the VRS gives me plenty of poke and to be honest I need good mileage doing nearly 200km to and from work and with 2 kids..... did anyone mention the boot With age comes "more practical"....
