Mine says it every few months, remove the cd changer, check the cd's for damage and make sure no dust or debris is in the cd changer. This normally fixes the job for me.

On the way home up popped this light (little yellow one) ive had a quick flick through the manual and had a quick view using the search bar but couldnt find anything ideal to tell me whats the most likely culprit. Any ideas what the issue could be (Ill be sticking on a code reader tomorrow hopefully-not sure if its vag specific though) and will it likely be an expensive fix (as I had my eyes on a re-map this month :( ) Cheers Sid

Ive done it quite a few times and the biggest tip is when spraying make sure you are in a dustless environment otherwise dont expect to be happy wiht the finished product.

Popped into MSB yesterday for some bits and bobs and have to say great service, friendly, polite and extremely helpful. I can see me spending a lot more money there in the future.

Ok so after having my door deadlooked shut for the last fortnight I managed to get in today by removing the card and smashing the lock to pieces. Replaced with a second hand lock form fleabay and guess what still doesnt work. Ive checked the connector to it and there is power there so im guessing its not a wire problem (also checked the drivers door unit and no corrosion or water ingress to it) any ideas??? Thanks Sid

I might pop down if I get my car fixed in time

Sid Sidgwick replied to vrsjaw's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Mine does it frequently due to dust in the player. I eject CD magazine, blow into changer and wallah its fixed every time for another few hundred miles -
I was hoping to but SWMBO has sorted a belated mothers day meal.
