  1. I thought that meant you got less mpg as denser air = more oxygen = more fuel injected. Might be wrong tho. What I do know is the car runs better when there is lots of cold air.
  2. Was to get rid of all the optional extras wasn't it.
  3. Until bossfox showed up in his 09 plate SE :P
  4. That's the same as me bud. You hardly ever see them around where I live. When I went down to where my Gran stayed tho that was a different story. They were everywhere.
  5. I suppose you could try tho the damage has probably already be done.
  6. Yes just twist them an they pull out if remember correctly.
  7. I think what has been said (on the top gear page) about people wanting the looks but not an engine they can't afford has been echoed on the mk1 forum a number of times. People were saying that there should have been a mk2 vrs with a diesel engine because that was half the draw of the mk1 vrs. For me personally I just don't like the looks of the mk2.
  8. It sounds similar to my problem except I loose more than that. Mine has a hybrid PD150 on it and I think I have got head lift. I need to book it in to get my head gasket done and uprated arp PD150 head bolts. Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear. Ross
  9. I have removed my front fogs, as the pipework for the old intercooler I had wouldn't fit if they were still in, and it passed an MOT no bother. No blanking plates either just two holes haha Ross
  10. My average, using fuelly, is 48.2 mpg over 24172 miles (done 50000 since i got it but always forget to log it haha). My best recorded is 53.4 mpg. Its only in the last year I have started doing long motorway journeys for work tho, 60 miles each way, used to only be 10 miles each way. I have seen an increase in my mpg since i have been doing this.
  11. A T50 torx bit done the trick bud. I had to go out and buy one as my biggest was a T40. Replaced the steering wheel today. Cheers Ross
  12. I have recently purchased an r32 steering wheel and was looking to fit it. I was wondering what size torque/spline is required to remove the steering wheel, as I don't want to have to remove the air bag only to find out I don't have the correct size bit. Cheers in advance Ross
  13. After putting it in the garage for a service and using my mums 1.4 clio. Was so glad when I picked it up and that was the same day. Keep thinking of getting another car but always think about how much I've spent on it and what a good little car it is.
  14. Over 400 lb/ft aswell. How hard is it to get all the power down??
  15. Good choice of wheels :P same as mine lol. Bit of a pain to keep clean tho.
  16. I'm loosing coolant (pressurised expansion tank aswell) and suspect it to be headlift and my Fabia is at about 215 bhp. What's best to do get uprated head bolts or get the head gasket changed and fitted updated head bolts? Sorry to go off
  17. You must be gutted mate I know I would be. There are some real scumbags out there. Shows they knew what they were doing since they got every panel and even did the wheels.
  18. 06 plate fixed my drivers side rear. Was rivets
  19. Prefer the mk1 but then again I have one and it is the mk1 section lol.
  20. Black magic here but would love to do it Renault liquid yellow
  21. Gutted. How can I never find bargains like this.:(
