Hi, just bought coolant from the local seat dealership. They gave me G12++, he said they aint got anything else. Would it work fine in my VRS?
-
Yeah, e-gas we used to do alot of them!
-
Anything from £1000-1500. Look for a 2 year parts & labour warranty, multipoint sequential kit and get a torpedo shaped tank in the boot so you can keep your spare tyre. I have a 80L tank, max I get in there is 75L. Also make sure the kit they install is powerful enough to handle your VRS.

Yes, done it on all my cars as the family business is LPG. We are: http://www.birminghamautogas.co.uk/ LPGA Approved, 5 years of conversions biggest in the Midlands and one of the biggest in England. On my VRS I get 30-35 miles on petrol, 75-80 on LPG. Definately worth it, make sure you get a multipoint sequential conversion and it should cost around £1000-1300 max.

get rid of it, u dont need it.

Better fuel economy from a re-map?
sc0rpius replied to OllieH's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
You won't get better MPG with a remap lol, it just makes it faster! As for Cruise control, yeah its nice for motorway driving. Your feet can rest, helps when you do the long missions and you get knackered. -
Definately use a press mate, had some cowboy take mine out with a hammer and fire. ****** ****ed up my ABS rings.
-
All depends on how the owners have driven the car, mine died at 75k. FSH, 2 owners... One of them must have been a prat tbh.
-
interesting, doubt ill be remapping my car..
-
what should the revs be when the engine is idle and warm.
-
Madness, well at least I know mine's upto standard speed now. Had a leak on a pipe and a stuck caliper holding the speed back but glad to know its upto scratch.
-
Basically you push in the button under the rev counter and move it to the right for the hours, left for the minutes. keeping it right or left moves it faster. thats how it is on my vrs anyway.
-
Hi, just wanted to know the max speed everyone could reach in second. If I boot it from first, I get upto 40 and in second ill get between 75-80. Shell V-power and standard 180 BHP VRS.

Can you like give a diagram to let me know where the drain tap is... The hoses going to the oil cooler are coming out from the coolant tank right?
-
Hello, ive noticed that my coolant is no longer red and is just mostly plain water, how would I drain it and put in new coolant?

Clearing service indicator from dash?
sc0rpius replied to sc0rpius's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
1) With Ignition off hold the trip switch in, turn the car on. 2) Keep it held in, rotate the time/hours switch to the right and you will see it dissapear. -
Yeah, I've got a Bosch one but had to pay around £55 for it earlier this year. Unplug it, see how it runs. It should run a bit faster even if the MAF is working ok, but if there is massive difference then yeah its on the way out.
-
I've heard you can do this without using a machine, how would I do it?
-
I replaced mine earlier this year, made it feel smoother and gave me better MPG. They're quite cheap on ebay around £30-40. Very easy to install, even I managed to do it (total noob at cars dnt know how to change brake pads even..).
-
swap it with mine (its LPG) lol..

I damaged someone's car once on my road about 18 months ago when I had a ****ty suzuki swift, I never got back to owning up or paying for it and the damage is still there. Ever since that I've had alot of bad luck with cars. Two accidents (two dead suzukis lol), bought an A3 which was very reliable and took me everywhere holds a special place in my heart. But that ended up being carjacked at gunpoint (I got it back though with not too much damage and will flog it soon). Even after that I hit some bumps and the airbags went off. 7 points for speeding and a bad tyre (****ing police points for tyres..). And theres the stuff which I wont mention. :p I've been planning on giving that person his money back for ages as I think the SOB has put a gypsy curse or something on me. I will do it when my wages come through this month, £100 should be orite.
