Service/Nav queries
That's how the car was delivered. If I query the device status it indicates a huge mileage to go and end of second year for latest date. However dealer keeps sending a reminder that the first service at one year is due. This is the first car for many years I have had which has not done at least 13k in a year, and one did 19k in a year. Currently much less due to covid stopping site visits and commuting and deciding to retire as hate working from home all the time. Currently at 6700 after 15 months!

Service/Nav queries
I bought my car out of the lease deal within a few weeks of collecting it as the discounts to take out the lease were far higher than a cash purchase. I also have the first two services included. But the carmust be set to variable servicing. I am having the first done at 15 months old as it has only done approaching 7k now. I normally did 12k plus per year pre focus and retirement!

Service/Nav queries
My previous car was changed to annual against my wishes. I took it back and they changed it to variable. That was when I was doing 15k a year. Currently on variable but have only done 7k so far, have booked it in in 2 weeks for first free service when it will be16 months old

Vehicle can be locked with door open.
I seem to recall that the car would not lock if a key was left inside even if it was the second spare key in wife's bag. The poweredboot also would not close if a key is in the boot? I could not get it to go down and then realised a key was in a bag in the boot?

Servicing
I have the opposite? Car is set on variable and is now 14 months old with ages to go before service due comes up. Only done 6.5k though now instead of a normal 15k in that time! Dealer has sent me two reminders so far that annual service is due and I paid for first 2 services when I bought the car. Planning to do first at 18 months and second at 3 years with mot and brake fluid change added.

Electric Brake and Auto Hold....
This is the most powerful car I have ever owned or even driven in 48 years of driving so I don’t feel the need for any more power. It gets to the speed limit in very few seconds!
-
Electric Brake and Auto Hold....
Perhaps it is engine depending. In my 190 tdi 4x4 it can be scary at big throttle input in sport mode from standstill!!
-
Electric Brake and Auto Hold....
So easy to turn on and off as required. Off for roundabouts and junctions, on for when stop start and longer delays. Why waste fuel? Try sport mode in dsg when a quick acceleration is needed. Again so easy to select for a few seconds when it may be needed then back to normal or eco once up to speed?

Karoq tyre size
Or even better use your current wheels with winter tyres and next spring buy a set of 18 or 19” alloys with wider wheels as fitted to higher spec cars for spring to autumn use?

Build Times for new Karoq
I love the virtual cockpit and whilst I don’t use all the modes I regularly change through at least 3. whennusing the satnav you can have a small display of map between dials or minimise dials to just the speed and gear indication and use whole space for the map. I have the map on central console at a small display to get an overview of my location and what is coming and at large scale on the dash at around the next 400m for junctions etc. When not using maps I like the speedo and rev counter display and like the way it also indicates the speed limits on the speedo and what the cruise control is set to and whether it is on or not. I never use the single large speedo dial option though. I bought my car from display in the showroom and it had several extras included that many customers like including this electronic dash, heated windscreen, rear heated seats, and unfortunately unneeded towbar prep.

Karoq pictures
Good choice and rather bigger than a Fiat 500!!! We looked at that car as an option for my daughters first car last month but ended up with a much larger 2016 Fabia SEL 1.4dsg. (Almost like new with only 9700m at 5.5 years old!) Better car all around than Fiat I think but still small next to our Karoq Edition

Space Saver for Sportline with Full Size spare fitted.
It is a thin carpet covered flexible board. If you are collecting £10 would be fine as I won’t use it again. It is as new

Space Saver for Sportline with Full Size spare fitted.
I have a spare floor carpet and stick down trim strip for near the seat from my car which was delivered without a spare? I have now added a space saver wheel which needed the risers and the new floor as a 4x4. Available near Leeds if you are interested? About £60 new I would guess and used for less than 200 miles until the spare was fitted. You would have to buy the space saver though.

Oil consumption - 1.5 tsi
I haven’t had a Skoda since 2000 (3 Fabias, Citigo, superb, 3 Yetis and now a Karoq) which have ever needed an oil top up between services, both petrol and Diesel engines. Possibly not enough was put in at previous service?

keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
It is as changed part way through MY19 so you may have it
-
Start stop behaviour
It should be the button next to the parking brake. When off you can’t take your foot off the foot brake without the engine starting and the vehicle moving forward if on the flat without touching the accelerator. However in stop start slow traffic I turn off the stop start and auto hold and use this feature to creep along at walking pace.
-
keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
Your car may be the MY20 spec where the key stops transmission after being left stationary for I believe 15 minutes. This change was to prevent car theft by picking up the continued transmission and sending to another unit at the car outside your house?

Karoq pictures
I like my black car but it is an edition so it has chrome trim and names. Doesnt work so well when all black details as well
-
Start stop behaviour
My 190 ps tdi stops the engine before the car comes to a halt as well. If you turn off the auto hold the engine will restart as soon as the brake is released without touching the accelerator. In stop start traffic this can be more convenient combined with selecting manual 1st gear so the car creeps along at walking pace without touching the accelerator or going to second gear which can be too fast.

update of Columbus mapping
I had planned to buy my company car Yeti Greenline at the end of its lease and run for a couple of years until retiring. However it had to have the fix about 6 weeks before lease ended ready to return and as you say completely ruined the engine and hence allowed to go back and I bought a new one instead - but as my choice with no company restrictions I picked the best engine at 150 ps and dsg so good news really

Is it just the Edition only available from stock? Not clear on site.

update of Columbus mapping
I had 3 2010 elegance 2wd110ps 2014 elegance greenline, both company cars Then bought a 150ps SEL dsg 4wd drive with lots of extras runout model in 2017 for myself to keep indefinitely. However made the mistake of looking at my current Karoq in showroom when my Yeti was in for Haldex and brake fluid service and ending up driving the Karoq away next day! At least the winter wheels from Yeti turned out to be slightly wrong size for Yeti but exactly correct for Karoq. Have also had a mark 1 superb, and my wife has had 3 Fabias and a Citigo, just found a 2916 Fabia dsg SEL for my daughter with only 9700 miles for her first car. Definitely a Skoda family since 2000 when we had a choice. Only car with any issues was the 2010 Yeti, a very early one which had many problems in the suspension which several repair attempts never rectified. Never actually broke down though and was still making the strange noises and clicks at 65k when handed back?

update of Columbus mapping
I have just updated mine, must have come out recently. Huge download though and it still omits a through road near my daughters house so directs me miles around at times to get there. Google maps show this road exists and it strangely was already correct in my Yeti sat nav in 2020 as well
