Foot operation of rear hatch
The foot operation for rear hatch seems to have stopped working. Could I have disabled it somehow?

Bosch AeroTwins
I couldn’t stand the scraping noise from new so new blades just fitted although car only just reached 3k still nice last August. Now silent. Just over £20 for front and rear Bosch blades from Amazon.

Space saver / full sized spare wheel advice
Only fits like this on a 2wd though.

Are all Karoq 2.0tdi 4x4?
You may find a car with towbar prep but no towbar. A lot of dealer specked cars to be sold out of the showroom, like my own 190dsg had that option ticked as many end up as tow cars. It is much easier to add the towbar if it has the correct factory installed wiring and it must be correctly wired to keep all the Car systems working correctly

Cruise control intermittently not working
Mine did this just before battery failed. If the volts are low it doesn’t initialise

Eco Driving Mode
No you have to select it every time. It reverts to drive on each new first startup

Wheel question
My 16” winter wheels fit fine, but offset has to be correct to clear brakes.

Paddle Gears, Umbrella and Cup holder
Umbrella is silly small to fit under seat. I will probably never use it as have previous Superb umbrella in boot together with another huge one big enough for two. I had the removable torch in my last two Yetis and never took it out in 6 years. It there in my Karoq but again will likely never take it out. That’s what the light in the phone is for and much brighter!

"Take the wheel!"
No going back for me. First dsg was my last car. A Yeti 150ps tai. When changing to current car it had to be dsg. Never again to suffer from left leg screaming out in a traffic jam from constant use. Indeed I was caught in a 30min crawl on the A1 yesterday and the dsg saved me from hundreds of clutch operations. And one of the comments above talking about manuals and “slush boxes” can only be from someone who has not had the pleasure of owning a dsg which is actually an automated true gearbox with a clutch, not a torque converter wasting large amounts of power

"Take the wheel!"
It only does that if you try to change lane without indicating. Useful reminder at times.

"Take the wheel!"
It does help you drive more smoothly and easily on a well marked road. I do enable it when on a dual c'way or motorway for any distance. I don't think I would have paid extra for it but it was in the spec of the vehicle I bought from a showroom. I had never come across this feature before in previosu cars.

Driver's side windshield wiper adjustment
Just bear in mind that the wiper can go further in some circumstance than indicated on your photo, if say it is catching on ice or jumping due to friction and springing over it at the side of the screen. Nothing worse than it hitting the edge Had this problem on a previous Yeti.

4 Wheel drive
I am sure it does, but I can also sometimes feel the shove from the rear as the front wheels momentarily lose grip. You can feel it through the seat that the rear is pushing.
-
4 Wheel drive
If it's done more than 30k without a service to the Haldex unit it may well be just a two wheel drive car. The filter blocks and that stops the unit working to send power to the rear. If I accelerate out from a junction sharply I can feel some power going to the rear if the front wheels slip slightly.
-
Clock as screen saver
It shows when unit is off and car is in use

Tyre rotation
Same here. I stick a label inside each wheel saying which corner of the car it came off from and use that as a guide to sort out the wheels when refitted next change time

Spare wheel KIt.
Yes I used your guide to decide to buy and fit a skinny wheel to my 4x4. As you day you have to modify the spacers slight to allow it to fit and access the seat release handles. Slightly delayed thanks!!

Advice on trade-in value.
Citigos are worth more than you would think as there is now no new equivalent of it from VW group. We got almost what we paid for a prereg car 18 months later in part exchange for current car. We went from a Citigo and Yeti to a single Karoq as no longer need separate cars last August.
-
Used Citigo purchase
Our 68 reg car did not have arch liners. If you keep hosing that area out it should stop the rust developing
-
Spare wheel KIt.
The boot floor ends up a bit higher on top of the wheel. My car is rarely full of stuff so no issue most of the time and a full size spare won't sensibly fit a 4x4 despite other posts advocating it.
-
Tyre rotation
I've not come across tyres with outside on them yet My winter wheels though have rotation arrows.
-
Spare wheel KIt.
I bought a space saver kit for the 4x4 I had just purchased. It included everything except the clip to remove the wheel but covers! Ended up buying one from Amazon. Not that expensive.

keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
Surely not when on standby after not moving key for 15 mins? I keep mine in cupboard unless actually using car

SOS Error Message
My electric toothbrush is bluetooth enabled!! Supposedly you mount your phone in a holder and use the app to a ensure you brush your teeth correctly??? Why? I only bought it as on offer at 50% off and hence cheaper than less highly specced models and have of course never used this function or even bothered to download the app! Threw the holder away.

Tyre rotation
Yes I bought a set of winter tyres for my Yeti. Did two winters with them on that and they turned out to I be a little narrower than they should have been so correct size for Karoq? Now done another winter on Karoq. The two winters on Yeti made its original tyres last 38k until trade in with wheel rotation as well.
