Yeah tinting spray idea went out the window ive a habit of changing my mind about the car many times in a day.

Ive a vibration and knocking noise which sounds like the car is falling to bits when i hit a small bump which is coming from the strut top bearings on there way out. A garage or dealers should of noticed that but thought id suggest it on the off chance there not looking that closely at the car

Cheers everyone for helping me done a bit of rewiring for a fella that is gonna fit it hes for using bolts and tiger seal so it shouldnt move.

just went on to ebay went to buy tinting spray logged on to find out the other night after a night out i bid and won a rs spoiler anyone know how hard it is to fit drill holes etc

im buying tinting spray for my mirror indicators thought this was a optimistic price spray

mine is held on with a bolt that comes off with a 7 0r 8mm allen key.

mines bongs even when its below 4 when i start up and again when the temp drops to 4 when im driving. coldest we had last winter that i saw was -18c was a chilly morning

ive had cars with and without self levelling headlights and been running with hids for years in them never had a problem with the mot aslong as the light heights and pattern are set correct. as for the one bulb for high and low beam the bulbs have two filaments one for low and one for high.

Could be something has came lose like a pin or clip not sure how the locks work but that could be a possible reason.

hey i get a bulb warning on quite often it started when i fitted led side lights the light will come on but all bulbs are working fine the warning light comes on and off randomly it could be that. the way i found out was i tried normal sidelight bulbs not leds and the warning light never came on put them back in and warning light back on.

Ive been searching through the many retrofit cruise control topics but cant find one with a link or even a picture of the right stalk i need ive found 3 diffrent stalks that all say there for a mk2 octavia can anyone put up a pic or link to the right one please its a 1.9tdi mk2 07 plate any help would be very appreciated.

Hey i aint used meerkat but i did use elite custom exhausts in ayr on a 1.9tdi got the back box removed and a twim tail pipe fitted looks good and makes a great sound when changing gear.

I measured from the arch to the middle of the hub before i started and after i finished. Got a mate whos a mechanic to take a quick look at it this morning he says the camber aint as bad as im makin out to be lol im just worrying to much.

not got pics of it at 110 but i took some at it at 80 that looks lovely i wish i could get mines that low and still drive but i live on a farm road and at 80 it catches alot with only 2 ppl in the car. never got pics at 110 which was measured at 112 there was very very little room on the driveshaft but only got 6 feet before i was stuck so never got far enough for clearance issues with the shaft.

Ill try and get pics on when i get to a computer. I had it down 110mm but i couldnt get out my road so its raised now to 80mm

i dont have a facelift but was standing doing my staring at cars bit and tought that would look really good and really stand out

ive not got one but ive been lookin and was wondering if anyone had opened a facelifts headlights and painted the octavia lettering on the inside because i think that would look good and would like to see it done.

ive just lowered my car and have a rather extreme case of camber ive seen drift spec cars with less camber. was wondering will this cause issues with my hub bearings or just cause exessive tyre wear. and does anyone know a rough price for it to be corrected. any help/advice appreciated

hey i have the same car and changed mine for coilovers last week the shocks can be done yourself takes a while and youl need a helping hand. the shocks are the smaller size the larger ones are for the vrs im told. special tools needed are a m14 spline bit and a hub spreader but i used a claw hammer for that. get new top mounts when/if you change them as mine seemed fine but are banging and rattling now so ill hve to remove the strut again. try this link its the exact same as the 1.9tdi octy 2 shock replacment. hope this helps you.

ah thats a rather clever idea the cars goin off the road next week for some modding ill give that a bash then thanls for the help

Prob would be lol but i have running lights in the headlights and in the wingmirrors makes sense to me to have them in the rear to think i have a L.E.D fetish lol

those pics helped alot thanks very much. the silver reflective part is very dull lookin and was gonna clean it up and was thinking of fitin rear running lights while i was at it.
