  1. I prefer to drive a diesel, simple as
  2. I believe standard boost pressure is in the 1.3-1.35 region, mapped cars showing anything from 1.5-1.6 bar boost. Not sure on fuelling however, the boost will be a clear indication, aswell as how long it lasts in the rev range
  3. You could log boost as well as fuelling, both willl be higher on a remapped car.
  4. Never seen that thread before! :( lol wonder what would be better between rain sport 2 vs conti sport contact 2?
  5. I've been Looking a lot at tyres lately, its looking like the toyo t1R is the best able rounder out there. Ill probably opt for those.
  6. York corner is pretty decent spot, the house I used to have was just up the road from it, used to sit on my roof lol I live in co Armagh now tho
  7. Most are listed as m sport so still pulls the keyword. I wouldn't mind the coupe so I'm open that way lol
  8. I've been looking an e46 330d for a while now but proving quite difficult to find one with reasonable mileage, that isn't a dog, 04 or later and manual. Not asking for much! :( M sport and good spec too of course
  9. Fmic would be the first thing I'd do second time round. Best mod I done!
  10. I'm not all that far away so will be going!
  11. Anytime I adjusted mine and clicked save it just reverted to the original coding when I opened the pop up box again? I didn't alter the workshop coding or anything maybe I next to? It was a fully working vcds lite version that I used, would that be the problem, I adjusted lots of other things with no problems.
  12. According to gsf car parts this is the correct one? If you look at the description the car is listed in the comparability list http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380637837975 Edit Really confused now, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=alternator+tensioner+1+9+tdi+vw&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=alternator+tensioner+1.9+fabia&_sacat=0 This link shows the gsf one pictured In another item listing but according to it it's the wrong one :( lol
  13. Thanks! Is the first link the correct one that I need then? Here's a few on ebay http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/searchresults?kw=alternator+tensioner+1+9+tdi+skoda&cmd=SREF&fads=All&call=All&sort=BestMatch&mfs=GOCLK&acimp=0&isNewKw=true
  14. Good job mate. Hope your squatting to parallel! People who can't squat anger me lol
  15. I think everyone goes through this a bit, myself included but I soon got myself out of it. Again I wasn't as bad as the OP. I just told myself I can't keep doing this or something bad is gonna happen, my blood does boil (especially when I get overtaken in places that don't allow it and the car gets hit by stones as a result) but I just tell myself that it didn't result in an accident so chill out.
  16. Could you guys help with this thread? http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/275118-alternator-pulley-toast/#entry3259190 Sounds alot like yours but not exactly the same.
  17. Also a link to a aux belt tensioner suitable for my car would be great, BLT engine. The later ones seem to be an all in one unit and the older seems to be a swing arm type. Can't see one listed for the BLT tho. Edit: Ok I've found a couple of links, slightly confused by the two. One says altenator belt tensioner and one says pulley. Tensioner one What's the difference and which do I need?
  18. The spring loaded one for taking off and putting on the belt? Again can this be done from the top of the car? Also would this explain why the rattle occurs on startup and then disappears after about 1 minute but returns if I turn my lights on and then go again. Once the car been running for a good five minutes there's no noise at all. Would you know if its the tensioned cause I could try to get a vid up.
  19. I got my new pulley fitted last night. But the rattling still persists? What else may be causing it?
