New Skoda Driver Question
Pretty sure it can be done in the settings. I did mine without a reset. Do you have an owner’s manual?

Fook, good luck getting this sorted. It’s threads like these that will be available online for years that do companies like Cazoo no favours at all! Thoughts with you! 💪🏼

Buying Advice
PS, good luck sorting it! I have never bought a car, new or used, that didn’t need something fettling / sorting out. But, the selling dealer needs to stand up and honour their responsibilities. I’d want two front tyres as a minimum.

Stand your ground on these issues. Cazoo need to put them right (or pay for you to do so). End of.

@Hilly81 good luck with the Octavia. Great cars. Perfect nippy family wagon!

Steering / tracking mystery finally solved
Interesting and in particular your last point. There is no doubt the Superb is sensitive to the road camber / inclination.

Steering / tracking mystery finally solved
Seems a few have wheel slightly to the left…. During my 4 alignments, one guy who seemed decent enough, said that in the UK cars are set up to drift slightly left if the driver is no longer steering for any reason (e.g. medical emergency) so head-on collisions are less likely. And the opposite on the continent. Wasn’t sure whether he was talking tosh or not. I would have though natural camber would suffice. Anyway, I’m not a mechanic. Perhaps someone else knows more?

Agreed, sound advice this. They are quite different to drive. Same excellent engine & gearbox and big practicality.

Yep, so go for it. You’ll love it. Perhaps buy a warranty elsewhere? Skoda or Warranty Wise? As ever do you research as regards what the warrant actually covers. Or instead, put £50 per month to one side and dip into the fund if needed?

I like that Cazoo highlight every tiny scratch and mark, so that you can be ‘eyes open’ to what you are buying from a distance. Very few second hand cars have no marks at all, so it is a good idea. The Octy is a really nice drive, and quick enough at 245. I like the red and black wheels.

Steering / tracking mystery finally solved
Maybe worth getting the steering angle sensor checked. Of course, most of our roads are cambered, so worth taking it across to the right side of the road (when safe to do so! 🤣) and seeing what effect that has. On mine, before the fix, I did this and just had to steer even further to the left to keep going straight.

No idea. I’m sure someone on here will know though!

Steering / tracking mystery finally solved
The wheel would move slightly to the left every time I let go of it. If I took hands completely off, it would be pretty much straight, but any bumps etc and it would move slightly left. The car drove straight. I knew something wasn’t right beyond the tracking. It’s possible your steering angle sensor is not correctly set, like mine? Other things I checked were suspension and steering components and tyres - their wear, whether rotating the right way, change left to right etc. The old dampers were creaking at slow speeds when I first set off in the morning and over-bouncy. The new ones are quiet (for how long who knows) and firmer. Good luck getting to the bottom of it! It is definitely worth persisting! Once it is right, it just feels perfect - tracks straight and turns in well.

Steering / tracking mystery finally solved
So, quick story….. I bought my 2018 L&K 272 last August. The steering / tracking has never felt right. I sent it back to the original dealer for the tracking to be sorted (amongst a few other things). It was better, but not perfect. I then paid three times for the tracking to be checked. All three times (🤦♂️) I was told it was spot on, but the car didn’t feel right as the wheel kept turning itself very slightly to the left. I was an unhappy bunny. Whilst wondering what to do next, I went ahead with my Stage 1 plan through Avon Tuning. It is now a L&K 350 💪🏼 Yesterday was a big day! I took it to Skoda (my local dealer rather than the one I bought it from). I said, “I bought this car Used Approved 7 months ago, and there is something wrong with the steering. Please help me sort it! PS the suspension is creaking too, and it shouldn’t be at <30k miles”. Result: Two new front suspension bushes, steering angle sensor discovered to be 3% out and rectified (the culprit!) and tracking redone. All sorted under the Used Approved Warranty. My larger, family-sized, tech and toys-laden ‘Golf R‘ (although probably even faster) now drives as it should and is unbelievable!! Happy man. Thank you to Heritage Skoda Weston super Mare!! You have done an amazing job! 👏🏻👏🏻

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Will likely do the same with mine before long, perhaps gunmetal.

272. Remap or not?
@Jakesterit’s done! 350bhp and very pleased. PM me and I can tell you more. Or we can talk if you send me a number. In short, Avon Tuning were great.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Have done quite a bit more driving. Blasted up Burrington Combe last night. Blimey, it shifts now! Very pleased. At slower speeds, what is really striking is how it wafts along now on a wave of torque, shifting up to 5th, 6th and 7th earlier than it used to. A significant upgrade to the car. Will be much more enjoyable to drive now, whether just doing day to day stuff, or having a little fun occasionally!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Great question! It feels as fast now. It should. 350 bhp and 340 ft lb vs (Kia) 365 bhp and 376 ft lb, but 100kg lighter and AWD rather than RWD. It doesn’t have the aural drama of the Kia (V6 and fake noise) but it has better build quality and way more room for the family. So, in short, happy. Thanks for asking.

Yep, sand everywhere. Who’d be a detailing fanatic right now!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Yep, I cleaned it yesterday on the basis that it looks like I care about the car to the guys who are working on it. Pretty filthy already having done a couple of climbs up the Coombes in the Mendips. Tough to keep a car clean in North Somerset at the moment! Anyway, a car transformed!! 💪🏼

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Stage 1 remap today at Avon Tuning. 272 to c. 350bhp. Picked it up 2 hours ago. Have only really had once chance to accelerate hard - yep, it’s certainly quicker!! More noticeable perhaps is the increased torque making picking up speed at lower speeds effortless and really smooth. More drivability is what I was after so, so far so good! I’ll add further thoughts when I have done more driving!

Which petrol? 95 or higher? I am trying 98 and 99 and am getting 2 mpg better so far than when on 95 RON, and the engine feels smoother. (272 L&H hatch)
