  1. Have you got the ability to use (activate) traffic sign service??
  2. Because the adaptive cruise adjusts based on signs and with variable speed limits on the motorway, and the nightmare of all differing speed limits in London it is worth the money!
  3. Good morning. my trial ran out on the 5th of feb and since then Skoda have been unable to sort the issue where I cannot order the app. has anyone had the issue where is shows expired on the app/website ?? I can order high beam assist, but don’t want it!! been pushed between Skoda customer service, Skoda digital, and the dealer (who has been super helpful)
  4. Sorry to jump on here, but can’t see any other thread (and not sure why there is not a specific ev thread) my car seems to start charging and then stop after a period of time. last night it charged from 0 to 30% and I have just woken it up and manually used the app to start it charging. this has happened to me a couple of times recently any ideas
  5. Still trying to sort this out. The trial has expired, and I now cannot purchase it. I have been online and spoken to customer service, and I cannot get an answer as to why I cannot purchase it. I am able to buy high beam assist from the car, the app and a laptop, but not the speed sign recognition. Anyone else had the same issue
  6. Funny that as I did the opposite. I got a great deal on my IV that was the same cost as the 1.5 SE L and thought that as the economy on the IV would be better, it was a good choice. I am loving mine (except for a current issue with not being able to purchase the speed sign recognition that I am about to start a post for)
  7. Good morning. my trials for high beam assist and speed sign recognition run out tomorrow. i dont see the point in paying £170 for high beam assist as i only use it once every few months. i am trying to buy the speed sign recognition but it won’t let me. any ideas as all the dealer said was try using a laptoo
  8. I have the certificate but does not list out the specs. i know the car has park assist, but I may have confused with manoeuvre assist which is the self park (I think)
  9. Hi. got an SE l, but even looking at the manual I can’t work out how to get it to work. what are the simple Instructions to get it to work
  10. Does the se l have this feature?? I thought i read somewhere it did, but can’t find any settings
  11. Good morning. three weeks into owning my iv, last night for the first time I kept the setting as full hybrid. I noticed that even when the engine was running, the range on the electric was decreasing (whilst on the motorway) so does the battery also get used whilst the engine is running (the rev counter was showing so I know the engine was running, although I also see when it goes back to electric) Hope that makes sense
  12. Living near London, last week I went into town and charged at £0.64pkwh but you don’t pay for parking so it actually worked out cheaper. my goal Is to get a combined 50mpg or above as that for me is economical against a diesel.
  13. Not helpful when you have the iv !! I have a small fridge in the boot which on other cars I used to leave plugged in as it went off when the car was off. shame I can’t do that now
  14. So this morning I did a 50 mile round trip, and I decided to play with the settings. About 30 miles of the journey was motorway. I started in Hybrid setting, but on a couple of occasions (when I left the destination for my return I chose electric until the motorway) It was mainly around 4 degrees out. I managed 87mpg over the journey with 2 miles of electric left. I am really happy with that as if I were running a diesel, I may have got 65mpg tops. Annoying thing was I at my destination (Gillwell scout camp) they have chargers (which are free) but the are Tesla chargers, so my car would not charge... shame.
  15. I had originally reserved and paid a deposit for an SE Tech at one of their other branches and was told I could not have it until 29/2. This branch not only let me take it straight away, but also transferred it into my name. do I car what issues they might have. NO!!!
  16. I own the car, and am the registered keeper. Skoda stopped taking orders because of the back log, but I presume all factory orders had extras as there were a number of standard spec cars available. Although you cannot see the car on the skoda website, I was told they will start making them again. I dont care that I am not first keeper. List price new of the car (SE L) was about £33k, I paid £26k. The 1.5 SE L on drive the deal is showing a list of £30k (no extras) and their discounted price is the same as I paid for my 1.4 IV, so actually I am happy.
  17. It was online as pre reg. when I first enquired I was told I would have to wait until it had been registered for 3 months before I could take it home. then another dealership allowed me to buy their pre reg and take it straight away but it would have to stay registered to them until it was 3 months but when I collected it they registered it straight away in my name.
  18. I have now had my car for two weeks. The majority of my driving has been on pure electric, but short journeys. I have 'run out' of charge twice so far. I did not buy the car for it's electric capacity, but more so that the deal I got against a 1.0 SE Tech DSG was attractive. It is cold, and I am getting between 20 and 25 at the moment, but I actually did some boring calculations this morning based on a friend who has a Ford Puma. Appreciate they are dfferent cars, but here goes. I am charging at home using a standard plug and no saving to charge at night (I will not buy a dedicated charger as I don't think it is worth £7-800) 500 miles in a car that does 42 to the gallon paying £1.29 a gallon (local Costco price) would cost around £70 500 miles in my car doing 25 on a full charge based on £0.26 per KWH is £67.60. When it is warmer, and I hope to be doing 30/32 the cost will then be around £54.00 so not a huge saving, but I am now looking to see what mpg I can get using hybrid. If I can get anything about 60, I will be happy.
  19. I have recently taken delivery of a pre-reg 1.4 iv. Have a look on the Škoda Dealers | Barnstaple, Bedford, Canterbury, Croydon, Dartford, Harlow, Leicester, Letchworth, Medway, Milton Keynes, Newbury, Northampton, Nottingham, Oxford & Reading | Marshall Škoda They have a few still available, but not sure about the electric tailgate. I saves around 20% by buying a pre reg. (and managed to collect it straight away, and in my name within 2 weeks of it being registered.) also when I picked it up it had 12 miles on it so was not even test driven by anyone else.
  20. I think I found the issue….. I have a private plate and am waiting for the dealership to send me my replacements. Used some old ones which are not flush on the bumper. think it is obscuring the sensor as tightened it the other day and no problems since
  21. Good evening. since yesterday, at slow speeds and when turning left my front left parking sensor has been very sensitive, and this evening I have had an error message on the display. Any simple ideas before I start contacting the dealer???
  22. I have had my SEL for a few days. When it was in the showroom ready to be picked up, I got in it and it showed 35 miles (temp on dash was 17 degrees - it was a warm showroom). Last night, not sure of the temperature, but on full charge it was showing 31. Not been anywhere, but have played with some settings (pre heat) and now at 11.00 it is 7 degrees out and on full charge it shows 34. I am sure the published range is actually supposed to be KM!! To be honest, so long as I can get 20 from a charge, that is going to be about the most I will do without doing a long journey which would require the engine running. Today I am doing a 28 mile round trip with 5 in the car. Wonder at what point the battery will run out.
  23. Good morning, I placed an order a couple of weeks ago for a pre reg se technology. it will be ready for collection / delivery on 29/2. as I have bought a different car I wonder if anyone wants to take on this order before it is cancelled (I read on this forum someone waited two years!!) no extras Gun metal grey 65 miles on the clock
  24. I think the 80% is for full electric. i don’t even know if i have a cheap tariff at night so need to check. Just waiting for my outside socket to arrive today as so far I have been ‘cable out the window’ (had my old socket removed last year as I was not using it and it - so annoying - )
  25. As you have the SE L I was told that the heated seats uses much less power than putting the air con on. This morning I had driven less than a mile on electric. I was in a car park and 'floored it' (the car park was empty) and teh engine kicked in even though I had the mode setting to electric. I presume that every so often it actually needs to run the engine. I would like to know what MPG people are getting on hyrbid only on a motorway / A road only run
