  2. Intercooler all cleaned and sprayed and looking great, ready to go on anytime now, been out for a nice drive too
  3. Managed to pick up a bargain genuine seat sport front mount off a 1.8t too so correct pipework, very hard to find, I’ve already cleaned it out and going to wire wheel end tanks and paint it black this week then get it on. Also fitted some poly exhaust downpipe mounts, And I’ve changed the gearbox oil and booked in for getting the roof resprayed so she will be looking mint
  4. I’ve had her up for sale half heartedly, only advertised on here and abit on instagram. I think in the back of my mind I don’t want it to go. ive just been in the middle of a house move so now the decorating and boring stuff has been done I can pay the Fabia some attention. I’ve been meaning to do the cambelt as it’s reached it’s age limit although only done 30k since it was changed. lucky I did as the littler roller idler bearing had half failed and was moving in and out rubbing on the metal casing cover, and the plastic impeller water pump had started to break up too. Luckily caught them both before it was too late. so new Ina kit fitted and a metal impeller water pump
  5. Still for sale with slight price reduction 3600 with gearbox 2700 without

  7. View Advert Big spec 1.8t Fantasy green Mk1 Fabia build thread here Unfortunately time has come to move on. I have had fanstasy green fabias for over 5 years now. Just had wheel alignment and she’s ready to go. only negatives are laquer peel on roof, rear screen leaks if jet washed too close. Bodywork is mint otherwise and 0 dents. getting a quote next week for roof painting and screen resealing. Rear screens now been removed and resealed by local windscreen company!! I have 100’s of photos etc more will adjust price if the new owner doesn’t want the lsd gearbox/clutch £3000 without gearbox Advertiser TrevorB33 Date 06/05/21 Price £3,600 Category Cars for Sale
  8. Wheel alignment sorted today from Motorsport and performance other side of leeds, camber was all good and nicely even so no need to touch subframe again which was nice. Toe was well out again, now adjusted and driving lovely and straight again . turns in even better now
  9. just been for a good run, initial turn in seems a lot sharper with the new arb, and small adjustments in steering seem to react very quickly, very impressed. Probably be even more noticeable with your slightly heavier diesel lump. Getting it aligned again next week as I’ve had the subframe off so should be even better
  10. Same not driven it yet haha, hopefully get out in it end of next week.
  11. Last bits of suspension done, eibach 22mm farb, hopefully get it booked in for alignment again next week. Also my samco intake hose arrived after two months of waiting for it to be made so fitted that
  12. I’m still here mate, keep it going! I always look forward to reading your updates 👍🏼
  13. Mines copper as an option , I think sel comes with it but colours are an option
  14. It’s a straight swap you just need to drill a hole into your original door card for the winder, or change door card to non electric ones
  15. Suspension all done, been for a blast and all seems fine, it’s actually really comfy, more so then the eibachs and polo gti shocks. Also serviced her as I’ve not changed the oil since the engine went in although she’s only done just under 6k.
  16. Got the suspension pretty much done just one front left as I ran out of time, sits at a good height and set them for two clicks off softest to see how it goes, also fitted new exhaust mounts to the back box. I’ll finish off tomorrow and give her a service too well overdue
  17. Brought some new rear springs for the scale coilovers as the old ones were really crusty and the powdercoat started to come off when I cleaned them. 4 days delivery from the states, just the front shocks left to clean up then it’ll be ready for fitting
  18. Not much exciting just changed the drivers side engine mount now all three are pretty new, it was still original at 15 years old
  19. Never touched anything other then a panel above grill under bonnet to get to some back clips
  20. I’ve got the Monte one on our sel, brought from superskoda when they released them, you can fit without removing bumper but you have to pretty much destroy the old one. fitment it’s perfect as original
  21. It’s rivnutted in, you just need to drill the holes, top two are into the bracket that attaches straight to the strut top and bottom one goes into the triangle brace that goes arch-boot floor. They supply the rivnuts and a manual tool for fitting them. ive had the forge one before and didn’t notice any difference, wasn’t expecting anything with this other then looking good. But could feel it was stiffer straight away
  22. I’ve fitted the forge one before and not noticed much difference but I can actually feel this one, does make it stiffer at the rear ooo err
