Finally plumped for a new washer bottle so I could get the correct neck part to attach to the coolant tank as you can’t get it separate. Got rid of the cable tie holding the original 😂, also opened up the front lower grill with my dremmel finally

Yeah I think bumpers been off three times that’s well past there usual breakage stage lol

I got fed up of popping the front bumper corners back in as the mounts had broke, so fitted some new ones, also brakes are nicely bedded in. She certainly stops well, I ended up getting a new caliper and carrier for the n/s as it was slightly bent from the original crash damaged donor, so n/s is brand new hub/knuckle, caliper/carrier. Don’t ask me how much lol

discs obviously won’t stay black it’s just the anti rust coating from ebc

Gti brakes going on, I ended up buying a brand new hub/knuckle for n/s as I wasn’t very confident in it due to the smack the donor had had on that side, better safe then sorry. Discs are arriving tomorrow

Don’t think so as I presume yours will be 5x112 like most vag

Little update, finally recieved the air intake trumpet that I was missing from the bay, now just a washer bottle top piece to get from vw and the bays done. Got the gti brakes finally going on this month too

Fitted some new plugs and apr coil packs this morning, looks so good before

Got a maxton front splitter and also another front bumper that was in far better condition then my old one, it still needs a repair at some point but will do fine for now. My next things are get the brakes on, front bumper sprayed. And I’ve got some apr coil packs and new plugs to go in at some point too.

Ah 😂 it’s alright depends what your used to, obviously rapid compared to the 60bhp original, but not as quick as my last 1.8t Fabia by any means. I think it will surprise a few things when it’s mapped

yes indeed I love knowing that no one can just go and buy the same car, obviously up gti you can but it’s still different . Still got lots I want to do but it’s 90% there. And thanks for reading 👍🏼
