  1. I’ve been taking it easy too haha
  2. just one warning light to get rid of now steering!
  3. Little vid of the rear, so nice with the twin number plate bulbs IMG_1419.MOV
  4. Wired in all the lights *Rear lights repinned to fit citigo in different places on Up *Front light wiring extended as the bulbs are in different places *Brake vacuum booster mounted
  5. Also got the exhaust all aligned she sits beautifully, it has a nice subtle note not too loud which is good. And the mib2 and beats system works perfectly 😁 IMG_1387.MOV
  6. . Added abit more heat protection for the clutch feed pipe as it’s abit close to the downpipe. Also *Downpipe on *Rest of exhaust mated and aligned *New gearbox Mount *Oil and Filter changed *Mounts torqued up
  7. Cheers, same with Skoda if they had done it would have probably outsold vw up’s
  8. Gti bumper on, swapped crash bar as old one was a little rusty, and added some waxoil to the bottom of body and corners while I was there, got the body guy to fill in the old screw holes so I can run my 3/4 length plate
  9. Recieved my fancy in tank fuel hose from demon tweeks, got that fitted up and the pump back sitting in the car. Rest of interior can go back in now. so the pumps got the original head but all the gti internals now
  10. One of the last few pieces of the inside. I Swapped the facias of a facelift citigo so the stereo out the gti will now fit straight in. Dashes are a different shape in facelift up’s whereas citigo kept same dash throughtout. Now it will work with no component protection worries. Also received a steering column cowling today that’s from a facelift as they are different to original. So just need the switches next to heater out of a facelift with the stop start and heated seat buttons to finish off
  11. Cleaned the back end up before my bumper comes back from paint, I’m fitting a gti one so it all works rear fog, twin number plate lights and the oem exhaust cutout ran into a little problem with fuel pumps as I now know the tanks are different and the pumps are held down differently screw type vrs a locking ring. As I could find any info on the pumps flow rate I’ve swapped the internals over anyway to save any future issues when it’s mapped. Just waiting on a bit off fuel pipe and I can fit it back in. you can see the difference in the head in this pic
  12. Oh new page new pic, currently looks like this
  13. A couple more bits have arrived, *new fuel pump seal and tool to get it in an out didn’t really want to put it back with the chisel method in my car lol *bonnet lock with micro switch on it as citigo didn’t have it *fuel pump Ecu that sits on tank, mistakenly forgot this off donor I’ve managed to run the wires for rear abs sensors and all connected just fronts left to do. Downpipe still to fit and driveshafts (one on order) Waiting for radiator (two week wait) ordered a citigo facelift stereo so I can hopefully swap the displays over so it keeps its component protection and will work as the up stereo won’t fit the dash. Also ordered a facelift steering column cowling as there’s a extra connector on slip ring so old one won’t fit, then once fuel pumps in I can get the seats back in might have a couple of coolant pipes to get if I can’t find them, but now I have some room I can clear my garage down abit
  14. Not much this morning, *Drivers door barrel swapped to match new key along with locking fuel cap. *Gear linkage bolted to gearbox *wiper linkage fit and wipers on *soundakator and control unit fitted under scuttle *front washer hose connected to jets Pic of soundakator and control unit, amazing how it has the holes already there to bolt too
  15. She’s in *Gear selector changed *slave cylinder swapped and bled *abs module swapped *Ecu mounted under wing as oem *Forge Heat tape added to bulkhead where turbo is as there’s none on citigo and did under intake too. going to button up the interior tomorrow just seats left to fit, fuel pump to swap and fit fuel pump Ecu
  16. Decent days progress *Clutch pedal swapped *Throttle pedal swapped *Beats amp mounted under drivers seat *Stop start module under passenger seat *Dashboard fitted *Black headlining fitted *interior trims all back in *Dab aerial base fitted and stubby aerial *leather handbrake fitted
  17. Cheer for comments all :), got a few more bits on order and a list of bits to change next week. Interior stuff left is, All dashboard stuff back in, Swap throttle pedal Swap clutch pedal (can’t use original as different for stop start, the connector is built into master cylinder) Fit Fuel Pump and Fuel Pump Ecu (new gasket on order for pump) Stop start module under pass seat to fit Beats amplifier under drivers seat to mount Aerial base to fit (oem dab from donor) Black headlining from donor. Then engine bay wise Abs module to change, donors a much later revision number on pump then original so going to change to save any coding issues) Clutch slave cylinder swap and bleed Gear-selector linkage to swap, so heat shield needs dropping over exhaust. Going to heat proof the back of engine bay as obviously that’s where the turbo/exhaust is and there’s no shielding there on mine. I’ve got some fancy gold forge motorsport heat tape coming. New radiator on order as it’s got the extra connector for cooler on inlet manifold. From research it’s the same size as normal up so hopefully my rad fan will fit nicely Then engine Ecu to mount in wing as oem Fit engine New Engine oil/filter and gearbox oil Fit driveshafts And door lock and locking fuel cap to swap over at some point too to fit donor key Jobs a gooden lol
  18. Cheers helps that I’ve already taken one apart
  19. Loom swap today old one out swapped the steering column over too to save any coding issues. Added some closed cell foam under the carpet. New one in just dash and all panels to put back in. Stop start module and beats amp to mount under seats, abs sensors to connect up. Aerial to swap and headlining to refit. I’ve got next week off so no more progress till then
  20. Only had this afternoon and tomorrow free so made a start. Old engine out, interior loom tomorrow so full interior strip down
  21. In good condition with legal tyres located york 165/70 r14 tyre size
  22. Thought I’d whip the inlet manifold for a little clean as some oil had got into throttle body when it was upside down, just to check. Turns out it was minimal which was good so just a little clean and back together. Also allowed me to run the vac pipe for dump valve nice and hidden underneath.
  23. Fitted the exhaust today as I’m still trying to clear down what bits I can get rid off before the strip down, it’s ridiculously loud on an n/a engine as I was kinda expecting. Only need to put up with it for a few weeks before I start though so that good. Hopefully going to get the gti bumper sprayed soon that’s next priority. Fitted some powerflex exhaust hangers, and the crossmember from the gti too as mine was rusted.
