  1. cool, well mine will be coming, the Superb might not be as its been damaged by someone and needs a mend!
  2. I cant get the link for the TSi engine to work - come up with a read error asking me to reload or close the document but will never actually download or open it. Very annoying!
  3. FL models have DRLS installed as standard - you just pop the cover off the fuse box and there is a small switch there, flick it to on and on come the DRLs. Should be a second small bulb in the foglights at the outer edge if you have the DRLs and the "secret" switch by the fuses - page 46 on the manual!
  4. Oh i had Spax suspension on my old 205 and I quite liked the hard ride! Just wondering why my car seems to read its current speed in kph rather than mph desipte being set to mph - think its a bit dangerous really!
  5. Wishing i had kept my order for a race blue one rather than cancelling it now!
  6. if the Skoda brochure is anything to go by its only lowered by 15mm as you can get the Sports Suspension option on "normal" Fabia`s and it makes it as low as a vRS
  7. oooh didnt know that was there - i like my secret but pretty obvious hiding place. I really want to lower my car though as even the 17"s are nowhere near the arches!!! not sure if there is any coilies for it yet tho?
  8. We brought both our cars from Darlingtons - I thought they were extremely good. Skoda`s website only lists dealers in Letchworth and Watford around me.
  9. my little car reckons its averaged 46.2 mg in its first 170 miles and thats with me being a bit unsympathetic to it at times. WOuld be about right though I think as i put £25 in it and its still got just under 3/4 of a tank left in it!!!!
  10. ahhh so thats what they are for! It doesnt say anything about them in the manual - bit usless really as they would bend any maps you put in the pockets against the door moulding! Still finding new little tricks that it does that I didn`t know about - like winding the windows up or down if you hold the lock/unlock buttons or the little icon that lights up to tell you whens best to change gear to be as economical as possible, best so far (even though its barely run in) is and average run of 46mpg!
  11. it was actually a local ST which really surprised me that even the little 1.2 could blast away from it, I would have got a vRS myself but I couldnt be bothered to wait as I am impatient and I prefer a manual!
  12. oh you should try the revo re-map then! Apparently on their mapped Ibiza Cupra is good for 215-220bhp! Would think that would make an indecently rapid vRS.
  13. LOL, I dunno, i just know with the vRS wheels, door sill protectors, spare bulb kit and first aid kit I apid another £810 plus vat. Assumed it was about 10% or so off the wheels but didnt actually check! Steering column was just dusty, rest of the car was immaculate, but then i took photo after I had been fiddling with the column for about ten mins to try and get it in a position I was happy with - and now Ive bumoed the interior alarm turn-off button and I cant re-activate it! Also found that there are two bungee type cords along the bottom of the door handle trim (about 2-3 inches above the pockets) but I can`t figure out what they are for as they dont reach along far enough to hold a 1.5 ltire bottle in the slot in each pocket. It looks a bit dirtier now but I actually think the wheels look better dirty as they aren`t nuclear glow-in-the-dark white like they were when i first brought it, they actually look a bit more subtle.
  14. lol, mines still loosening up but it already seems a LOT faster than "just" 105bhp, takes off like a rocket when the turbo kicks in around 2,000 rpm - already looking at remaps too!
  15. Hum, so that makes the vRS £7k more expensive than my car even with the options!!!! Oh mine totally embarrased a local Fiesta driver last night - tired to overtake me just as it was coming on boost and Wooooosh, off I went and he got left behind. So funny when he pulled up behind me in the garage to get fuel and he went bright red when I said it was a 1.2! Should think your vRS will be indecently rapid - although watch out for the paddles on the wheel - i bumped the downshift paddle twice trying to flash the lights to say thankyou to people for letting me through on my test drive of the hatch version and nearly crashed because it took off like a scalded cat!
  16. Im surprised to see climate control, cruise control and parking sensors as options on the vRS, I would have thought they were standard like on my Elegance as thevRS is the "ultimate" model. Nice choice of colour and wheels though!
  17. No I didnt keep the standard wheels, they gave me 10% off the price of the wheels in exchange for the Comets.
  18. ahhh, will have to get under car then - even though its a tiny engine you cant see anything in the bay. And no awful massive plastic engine cover on it either - all gleaming bare metal (pic coming soon!!!)
  19. @ Fabia55 - it was £810 for the wheels and tyres - the online options list says the wheels alone are £130 each, so would be £520 for 4 wheels without tyres, balancing and fitting. @ Bingo 765 - I didn`t order the plates like that, that how it came from the dealership so I am assuming that how all new plates come @ threadbear - I didnt! it was sat in the showroom so I literally walked in, paid for it and a week later drove it away. It was sat there with a "Save the VAT" magnetic sticker on its bonnet, so technically even with all the extras i had iv`e still saved money on it! Dunno why Skoda call in "Maroon" (thats what my logbook says!) looks like the most purple colour I have ever seen.
  20. £810 fitted and balanced with tyres including VAT. Was gonna get the black ones or the 18" alloys from the Superb but those would have made the car look odd i think. Still needs lowering though - looks miles too high compared to a Mini Clubman that lives down the road and has got the same size wheels on it!
  21. We had a funny with our Superb last night - my other half pressed and held the lock to get the mirrors to fold in, which they didnt and then it lowered the drivers window! Got it to work properly in the end but a bit odd that it did that anyway!
  22. They are actually the white vRS wheels - not listed as an option for the "normal" Fabia`s but the lady at the dealership ordered them in for me anyway. Considering getting a vRS rear bumper so I can get a similar style of exhaust back box as the Superb has got (which is wounded now thanks to a dumb Mini driver).
  23. Just sorting out some pics of the new car, hoping they will work! The Superb is our other car and already finding the white wheels are getting flithy and Ive only done sixty miles!!!
  24. ok now I am really really confused my car looks like it has a small intercooler type rad fitted in front of or immediately above another large radiator at the front of the car but I cant see any other coolers anywhere in the back of the enigne bay and Ive spent half an hour poking around my engine bay. Just wondering as well, my car has a pair of smallish (about 15-20 mm) metal pipes running through a hole in the frame next to the suspesnion strut tower on the drives side, but the hole they are going through has been padded out with black foam wrapped in clear plastic - is it supposed to be there??????
