  1. Deadmau5 I'm no chav though To be honest they're still to expensive at around £5k
  2. Ok then, I'll keep an eye on the thread as I have a similar issue.
  3. New console bushes (most common thing to go) are about £150 fitted by a garage. Not bad in my books.
  4. Can't agree more. My Fabia has had 1 issue with a slight knock from the suspension in the 6 months I've owned it. My old Peugeot 206 was going wrong every month!
  5. Where is this so called buyer guide for the Fabia? The same question gets asked week in & there is no 'Sticky' for it.
  6. He invited me to have a look under the car too when it was up on the ramps. I've changed CV joints before & they were definitely fine.
  7. Even though its lowered 25mm it shouldn't be as they're standard 16" vRS alloys with 45 profile tyres. Sounds like a 'clunk' more than rubbing.
  8. Oh yeah the mechanic mentioned them, no they're fine.
  9. This is starting to get annoying. An intermitant knocking noise, usually when on full lock or turning at low speed going over bumpy ground. I changed the droplinks last month however the knocking is still present. I gave in and took it to my local independant Skoda garage, they took it for a test drive with me & the mechanic couldn't get it to replicate the sound. They put it up on the ramps to check the CV boots and they're fine, as are the console bushes & springs. Driving it back to work from the garage it knocked pulling into the carpark Any more ideas?
  10. I get at least 450 miles to a tank with the expansion tank filled. Easily get over 600 if I drive like an old lady.
  11. I've got these on my car & they stop it very well. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120427497876&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Getting a bit of a squeal from the rear calipers, but I haven''t cleaned them in ages. I agree with the above comment on drilled discs, not my No1 choice, but this set up came with the car when I bought it. Do they make Brembo discs (Or Brembo Max) for the Fabia vRS?
  12. Price is a little high for that milage in my books. I paid 6k for my 2006 vRS with 45k on it last September.
  13. Sorry that's the bit I was refering to. As in just scrolling though, average MPG, current MPG, fuel range etc?
  14. Try giving them a clean with brake cleaner first.
  15. At 75-80mph I get around 50mpg if I remember right.
  16. Yes thats normal on most cars, the headlights dim ever so slightly too, or at low speeds when the power steering pump is working harder.
  17. Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes it's got the battery without a cover. I tried to make it replicate the fault but its exactly the same as yours, completely random. The battery is fine as far as I know, yet to test it with a multimeter but it starts perfectly from cold etc
  18. Thats not a bad price IMO. Could always buy a used set from someone breaking a Fabia on eBay.
  19. Happend to me last week. It wouldn't engage the clip, pulled the boot carpet down and sure enough the thing had dislodged. Takes about 10 seconds.
