  1. Betty had a nice man come yesterday and repaired both of her feet and it only cost me £70.00 bargin.
  2. I'm sure that there are "other" website to go into more detail
  3. I'm watching this with interest. Betty's botty does get messy and requires the wiper on almost all the time, so anything that can be done to reduce this the better. It was the same on a previous Vectra Estate, a Zafira hire car and to some extent a Corrolla T-Sport hatch a had 10 years ago. The worst was the Zafira with the Yeti a close 2nd with the Vectra. I've always put it down to a vertical rear end!
  4. I should have said, 3000 miles, Only two Problems; the electic seat memory has packed up (in to the dealers for diagnosis on friday) it will hold the mirror positions but refuses to hold any seat positions and two damaged alloys purely my fault fortuantely only cosmetic damage and will be easily repaired by a man who can very shortely.!
  5. Can i ask, do you have the electric seat option? I have the seat almost fully up and am able to adjust the seat base to suit my driving position, that with the added lumbar support options was the reason i chose the electric seats. I couldn't get comfortable in the manual ones.
  6. Electric Seat memory is playing up again. It will now not hold any memory for any setting, wife not impressed at all as she has to adjust the seat everytime. Even just saving the settings without the key fails to work. Trip to the friendly dealer me thinks.
  7. DU61 *** 4x4 Muscovado SE spec I think passed me this morning on the A5 Nesscliffe Bypass at approx 7:15am. Followed it to the A5/M54 roundabout at Shrewsbury. Then left me for dust. I think I've become a grandad driver. Trying to keep average mpg above 50
  8. Yes they are both on the off side. The RAC man was going to move them on the same axle. Problem was they are directional, this wasn't spotted until after we returned to Betty. So i will be taking this to my local tyre firm to get them to take it off spin it round and and swap rear passenger and front driver wheels around. Fortuantely, as it's a lease car tyres are included in the maintenance contract. Infortuantely the alloys aren't :(
  9. Well, betty has two poorly feet at the moment. Caused by wildlife. Squirrel shot across the road, in swerving to miss it ended up clipping a central pedestrain island (didn't think I was that close to it) at about 20-25mph, causing both drivers side tyres to burst and damaging both alloys. Front has a 1 inch chunk out of it and the rear a small chip. Skoda Assist (RAC) where great and got the wheels to the local Kwik Fit and they fitted some uniroyals (only tyres they had of the size required) so couldn't argue as I was 150 miles from home. Fortuantley, the damage to the alloys doesn't affect the seating of the tyres, and they balanced fine so Kwik Fit don't think that are buckled. Drove the 150 miles back with no noticable difference in the driving no vibrations. Not sure if the uniroyals will affect the MPG or not, only time will tell. It knocked the tracking out by 3mm. Fortuantley,no damage to anything else. Getting a local wheel refurbisher to see if they can repair the front alloy, or if I'll need to shell out £217.00 (inc vat) for a new moon alloy) Next time the squirel dies!!
  10. So what about putting the car through a car wash!!!
  11. Well Betty has just clocked up 2k miles in 19 days. Not bad going
  12. Greenline sits at 2200 rpm at 70mph (GPS speed Reading) at 70mph on speedo revs are approx 2050 rpm 66mph (GPS speed Reading) At 66mph will easily achieve 58mpg or higher for a long run. Pulls quite happily in 5th from 45mph
  13. Ohh! that'll be where my Yeti came from. Excellent service I recieved from them through my lease company. The sales man (Kevin I think) who I spoke to was very knowledgable when it came to the towbar on the yeti. He owns an octavia and tows carvans so knew all about the coding etc that was needed. From my limited dealings I would recommend.

    SD card

I'm using a 32gb SDHC SanDisk card which works perfectly in the Bolero I store files using folders Artist Album Track That way you don't get any issues Oh and i have 1 single track on the root so i can use MIX across all the folders.
  15. Interesting you say that. I was given two prices by my supplying dealer (in November) for the towbar. Price one was with factory prep and the detachable bar and price two was without the factory prep. The dealer advised to go for the factory prep as this was the better option as the factory upgrade the engine cooling system, fit the loom to the rear of the car and put a different bumper on with the removable section in prepration for the towbar to be fitted by the dealer. The none factory prep doesn't have the upgraded cooling which cannot be retrofitted, the wiring isn't installed and the dealer said it was a pain to fit (hence why a lot of dealers sub this work out) and they also had to cut the bumper to install the removable section.

The only system that I think is as good is the Ford Sony system that is in their Titanium spec or higher models.
  17. My Greenline Elegence has Dimming interior and Drivers door mirror, which are heated, folding and the passenger one dips when reversing as I have the electric seat and memory pack.
  18. I have to disagree. My 12 plate Greenline Elegency (built January 2012) has the electric seat and mirror pack with dimming interior and drivers door mirror, dipping passenger mirror when put in reverse and memory, both folding!
  19. Just filled up for the 3rd time and achieved 55.5mpg for the tank. So tank by Tank the mpg is improving. Have a look at the detials in Fuelly, use my link below.
  20. I went for the Greenline, because our company is trying to reduce it's CO2 emmissions as a fleet (only allowing Diesel under 160gCO2 and limited manufacturers) and are offering better rates on "Green" cars and with the increased MPG I make a bit of extra cash. Currently the greenline is averaging 12.6 ppm whereas I get paid 15 ppm. so 2.4 ppm profit and as i do 20k miles a year. so I should earn £558.00 per year or £2112.00 over the 4 year lease. My previous Mondeo was costing me 16ppm so I was loosing out to the tune of £200 a year.
  21. The question is if you remove one of the seats do you get better MPG?
