  1. It is if you pay around that per 5L, running an old Felly I don't & thus far I've never needed to add anything between changes
  2. Hi, nu99et18 - When I said 'limited buying group' I didn't mean it in a derogatory way. It's just like my lads lowered, alloy wheeled etc Golf that he can't sell for £500 - £600. I think standard spec tends to appeal to a wider market and hence an improved sale potential. Feliciaman - Your Felly sounds nice and yes perhaps the price was towards the top end, but sometimes what price a good car! My 1.3 MPI was pretty economical so it would be worth checking that side of it out. Check/verify your running temp and have a look at the plugs to see how she's running. I think tyre pressures tend to have more influence than tread?
  3. Having not bought the litre option for some time I've lost touch with typical prices. I stopped buying it because it seemed so disproportionally priced by comparison to 4 or 5 litres. Changing every 10k I just buy 5L, the car takes around 3 to 3.5L and the rest is used for topping up as and when
  4. Hi Justin, I think your Fab looks pretty cool as it is. Contrasted against the yellow I'd go for a slightly less than black option, around anthracite. That would set it off nicely
  5. If you've pretty much exhausted the internal options then the next logical step is external examination. Most water companies hold service pipe records and it may save a great deal of time and effort by utilising their information. There is no cost associated with an Op's person visiting and from experience a person who understands the supply area in question can be invaluable. You don't mention whether you're on a meter or not, as I've known cases where related faults can give rise to supply related problems. Best of luck
  6. ^ Part of Brisky history now if the grapevine is correct
  7. ^ Your case is more specifically related to the supply characteristics, associated principally with flow/velocity and head loss variation and the economics specific to upgrade. In such cases some consideration can be applied relative to what you pay but in the majority of cases this does not apply and more particularly where DG2 is achieved and sustained at the property boundary. We had many rural supply cases very much like yours and affected customers linked their draw off to optimal times & employed secondary storage to help buffer.
  8. Hi ya, when I bought the pick up I replaced the original unit with a Sony Xplode, all relatively straightforward. Later I replaced the door speakers with some 2nd hand Xplode's. I've just upgraded again but to be fair on a budget. In the past week I've swapped the speakers over to 5" Bass Face and today popped a new Pioneer head unit in, mainly because the old Sony unit just wouldn't accept/load another CD when I'd popped the loaded one out! My arrangement is just a multi connector block and a separate aerial input. Fired up ok but despite auto & manual tuning still can't pick anything up on the radio. Strikes me as odd when the old Sony worked fine? Mine has always been a direct connectivity and not interlinked to the ignition and yes I've drained the battery previously by leaving the unit on. Therefore a little more head scratching I think. Pleased to hear yours worked out
  9. Good news A while back there was a really nice little black 1.6 Felly to clear at a garage just down the road. Could have picked it up for £300 and still kick myself I didn't! Have fun with yours.
  10. ^ Appliance safeguarding Hopefully the water company will be responsive to your request and needs.
  11. Hi, to properly understand the problem you're experiencing you'd need to know the particular supply/system characteristics. As a water/infrastructure engineer over 25 years I've spent many happy hours analysing/resolving pressure/flow issues, domestic & commercial. In your case I would contact the water company and they'll send out an op's guy to further check/verify. If the company are failing DG2 etc they'll act but the issue may persist on your private supply which may entail cost unless you're insured? Living on Romney Marsh and being as flat as a pancake we average around 2 to 2.5 bar, but customers do tend to get used to the limitations of what they can receive, providing it's equal to or above prescribed standards
  12. Hi, being at the other end of the country I can't really advise repair wise on your locality. This is an awful thing to suffer and in some cases it can be necessary to repair/repaint the entire area, which to be fair isn't cheap. However a localised solution may be possible and I'd advise some visits to local body shops to obtain comparative prices & also consider the mobile repair option
  13. Hi, for the first time I recently used Auto glym leather cleaner on the Fun and it brought it up really well. It didn't look all that dirty but was amazed how much dirt/grime it lifted off. I tend to use a cover on the steering wheel which removes the problem with shine/grip and just pop it off and clean as and when necessary
  14. Hi powernut, ^ +1 on this mate. Look forward to seeing some piccy's on what sounds like an intriguing project
  15. Hi Feliciaman, my temp gauge tends to vary typically between around 1/4 and just under 1/2, the later being the normal running temp. I may be wrong but it seems to link to ambient temp, running on the cooler end on a generally colder day. The difference is a little more exaggerated compared to the earlier days of ownership on this Felly
  16. Hi djaychela, didn't realise you are now Skoda-less. Hope to keep seeing you on the site as your knowledge I'm sure has proved invaluable to many members
  17. Hi Biggles!, have seen the pick up on ebay mate and best of luck with the sale. As you say one day you may come back to Felly ownership but in the meantime all the very best
  18. Hi Justin, difficult to tell until you see them actually on your car but matt black for me. They'd look nice on my Fun but prob won't fit!

    T shirts

Hi Matt, some of these look good. Do you have any designs relating to older models? I've got a stylised Felly Fun T Shirt but haven't seen many others around generally? Cheers, Rob.
  20. Can you not refurbish your existing seats or are they beyond that or perhaps you just want a change? I tend to prefer retaining the original spec if possible but accept that's not always possible.
  21. With a restrained right foot I reckon I'm not far behind the 1.9 diesel & performance wise I agree with Sonner
  22. Wall: Robk1 - x2 Desk: Robk1 - x1 Well done guys/girls & thanks to all those putting in the hard work to make this happen
  23. Hi Ken, agreed I think it would be a relatively easy fix but it's one of those jobs I haven't got round to yet. Having now topped 100k I should expect a weep here and there
  24. The main thing I get is some leakage from the rocker cover, which can coat the top end over a period of time. Unless it gets any worse it won't get fixed
  25. ^ sorry I meant to add after you've reconnected the ecu, advance the ignition to on & leave for around 20 - 30 seconds and then start. If you don't want to touch the ecu just disconnect the battery for a short period. Effectively either way just don't fire her up straight away
