  1. You might need to travel for one, ours was 275 miles away from home took us two days to collect it πŸ€”
  2. What is it they say, when people say ours is fine? Time for a failure?
  3. Can't think of anything the L&K spec has over my SE L Drive apart from the panoramic roof and possibly electric memory seats. I just went for the latest, best specced car that didn't have a sunroof.
  4. One of the lastπŸ˜‰ First registered 19th Feb 2018 only two actual owners, log book says 3 but first one was only 3 weeks so suspect the dealer. Was built mid 2017 so don't know where it went in between.
  5. I've seen the odd mention of Ad-Blue heaters and level control not registering when topping up but that's about it. The latter is usually when it's absolutely empty with only a few miles left. Having owned both starting at a similar milage (90k) the 150 is a much nicer car.
  6. What happens is that often the bolts are done up too tight, they should only be just over finger tight 7nm. If they are too tight the threads don't strip, the threaded insert in the roof rail starts to spin rendering it useless. I have done two swaps but am not doing it again.
  7. Any adjustments will have to be done in conjunction with VCDS or similar, otherwise the headlights go into safe mode over to the left and down.
  8. When I bought this yeti it had just been serviced I asked which oil and the garage told me it was Millars C2. I drove straight home and got the Pela out and swapped the oil for VW507. Took a couple of minutes job sorted.
  9. To avoid having to do the sump plug get a PELA 6000 and extract the oil through the dipstick. Simple, easy and no mess. A fair few garages do it in a similar way.
  10. idleness replied to awfabia's topic in Skoda Yeti
I wouldn't trust my local Skoda dealer further that i could throw it. I use an independent just across the road from them
  11. My 140 was as simple as that. Is yours a 150?
  12. Who is Pete? BTW my discs are 25mm thick cant measure the diameter easily.
  13. Comes back with 280 as the first hit on that site so according to you that's wrong as well
  14. It is looking that way, my car reg comes back on GSF parts with 280mm discs. So not an easy swap.
  15. I know full well the differences in brake sizes between the various models, I converted my 140 to the larger 170 discs. About 5 years ago. You are the only one saying that the calipers are the same everyone else says not. I await your evidence that it can be done preferably with documented pictures because without that I will stick with the majority.
  16. It's looking like the 312 discs with the ATE calipers are used on the Golf 6 GTI. Later models went for larger discs.
  17. I'm obviously wrong thenπŸ€” Can you explain why the 170 hangers don't fit the 150? My info on calipers came from here: https://www.yetiownersclub.co.uk/threads/yetipedia-no1.2760/post-86089
  18. 150 calipers are made by Ate 582VL And the type is VAG VCF251 Very different from the Bosch FN3
  19. This is undoubtedly true for the earlier 140/170 versions. They both use the FN3 caliper However the 150 uses a different caliper so all bets are off until someone finds the 150 caliper in use with a 312 disc on another VAG car. I can't find the table that lists the different calipers but it's on here somewhere.
  20. I haven't found a way yet, the calipers are different to the 140/170 I think that the Golf R hangers may work as I believe its the same caliper. If you search for the caliper type that is on the 150 it comes up with Golf R parts. Let us know if you do it.
  21. My DMF / clutch just rattled with clutch movement. When replaced it was shot.
  22. My Yeti came with GY EG tyres I can't wait to be shot of them and get some decent rubber but I'm too tight to just bin them before they are worn.
  23. Garage did it under warranty.
  24. It Will be the slave, I've been there done that and got the T-shirt.
  25. I will put money on the fact that Skoda didn't change the filter if a mk4 or clean the screen if mk5. If you only change the oil and not the filter then the haldex can die before the next service interval. Happened to me
