  1. I change down at 1500 unless I need to accelerate hard then it's 1700. Wouldn't dream of accelerating from 1000 it's just to low, and mine rumbles at those revs if accelerating even when I had just replaced the DMF. Up to 166k miles now.
  2. I'm down to about 100 between regen unless I'm towing when it can be up to 230m, despite using Archoil for the last 65K miles.
  3. I'm afraid I am going to run away. I was interested but the lack of documented DSG oil service is not something I am prepared to chance. Haldex should have been done at 30,60, 90 and 120K I bet money its not working, I've played that game twice with mine when the filter wasn't replaced. Thanks anyway and good luck
  4. Advert disappeared whilst I was typing. 🤔
  5. Can you explain pictures 13 and 14 in the advert? I assume its the front bumper but cant work out where. Also has it had DSG oil change /service every 40k plus Haldex oil change/service ? I may be interested but it must have documentary evidence of those services as if they go wrong they are expensive.

I've had this, it was the slave cylinder which is inside the bell housing. Good luck.
  7. As someone who tows a lot of heavy stuff I often see 110 deg on long runs after an incline. Hasn't occurred to me to worry about it.
  8. Mine is held on with cable ties as was the one on the Octavia
  9. That's what mine did at 97k, I booked it in straight away and replaced the lot, just as well since even though it didnt sound to bad it was on its last legs and could have broken up at any time.

    ∆∆∆∆∆ Wot he said ∆∆∆∆∆
  11. Michelin Cross Climates is a specific make. Other all season tyres are avaiable
  12. Avoid summer tyres, go for all season, my personal preference is Nexen N-blue but there are other makes😉 Summer tyres seem to be the majority of tyres sold in this country.
  13. Dead pump caused by lack of oil/filter change is the normal cause.
  14. Its a big county but where in Devon are you, I am near Bideford I have software tools to read the fault codes and the state of the DPF if its of use. Oh and if there are pre existing faults the dealer is liable for the first six months.
  15. Have you pressed the load/eject button and selected an empty slot before trying to insert a CD?
  16. I discovered that mine had gone within a week of purchase, phoned the dealer, who was 100miles away, and told him I was getting it fixed and he was paying. He duly paid for it to be done.😁 If you can find one get a 170 it's the best within that price range 😎
  17. It can fail anytime after about 30k from the previous service depending on the filter. Had my pump changed at 90k as it had failed, serviced at 115k and it had failed again by 135k as despite asking for it to be done the filter wasn't changed at 90 or 115, I believe it was only cleaned at 90k and untouched at 115k. 😠 I now insist on seeing the old filter after a service to make sure it's been changed.
  18. It should also work with VAGDPF* so you can monitor the state of your DPF * Only available for Android not iPhone
  19. I felt the brakes were not up to much when I got the Yeti having come from an Octavia vRs So I swapped to the larger discs, and the problem went away. Three years later all is still fine.

What age is the car? Early BT systems dont stream music just the phone call audio. Mine is 2010 and built a couple of months before full BT was fitted :(
  21. Not that I am aware of, I know that VAG-DPF is Android only as the writer only does Android, there may be something I just don't know, never having had an iPhone. To be honest a cheap secondhand android phone is less than £20 doesn't need a SIM as can be updated over WiFi and will give you a dedicated unit.
  22. Yes, but there are cheaper versions available mine was about £10 and runs Carista and VAG-DPF although not at the same time☺️
  23. VAG-DPF is the software for Android and it works with most Bluetooth/OBDII adapters
  24. That's shocking 😄
