Mystery warning light
When the light appears you should get a message on the maxidot telling you which bulb it is. Often with the rear lights they appear to work to the human eye but the resistance is out of spec so the ECU flags them as faulty. I had it happen a few times on the old yeti I just changed the bulbs problem sorted.

Battery Registration with Ancel VD700
It's just to let the charging system know that it's a new battery otherwise it will charge it the same as the old battery which may shorten the new batteries life. When I fitted mine using Carista all I did was to change the serial number by one from the old one as my battery was NSN.

Original vs Face-lift?
If you want a diesel there is a very good reason to go for a later facelift with the 150hp engine. It avoids all the problems of the EA189 engine fix.

How rare is your Yeti?
Mine is one of 3 2018 grey diesels. There is only one 2018 red one. https://www.howrareismycar.co.uk/index.aspx

Smart alternator fault ?
It doesn't work the way you expect because it's a smart alternator🫣 I have watched the behaviour of my alternator when solo and when towing When towing it sits at a steady 14.4v as you might expect. When solo it only charges and goes up to 14.4v on overrun, never when accelerating. It's a smart alternator designed to minimise the load on the engine and thus increase MPG. Find a long hill where you can drive down in gear with no throttle using engine braking. Check the voltage and you will find it's where you expect it to be.

Anyone had their diamond cut Origamis powder coated?

Is Bolero unit upgrade to Columbus possible?
The units are ECU linked so you will have to reprogram the ECU As for Smart Link it's mostly dealer only at a cost now of £170+ However there are other places on eBay that do it cheaper.

Tyre pressure warning and other lights.
Did you drive the car? Lights normally go out after a few metres of driving.

The most comfortable 225/50/17 tyres ?
For me it's pressures that make the most difference. When towing I up the pressures to the loaded setting (2.4/3.0bar) and when not towing it crashes about. Normal loads it's down to 2.2bar and a much smoother ride. I would like to use the eco pressures of 2.5bar to save fuel but it's just to hard a ride for British roads. I run Nexen N-blue all season tyres and they give a reasonable ride. Best thing for a smoother ride is to swap to 16" wheels

Diesel particulate filter
I monitor what my dpf is doing with VAGDPF on my phone. If the dpf gets too full then I can force a regen same as the dealers using Carista. It's normally fine and regens about every 450 miles. The old Yeti (remapped 140) was lucky to make over 100 miles between regens and needed a lot more work to keep it healthy

Car covers
https://www.specialisedcovers.com/car-covers-range Will make one that actually fits the car properly. The caravan one I have fits the caravan perfectly. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Replacing the Bolero unit screen
It's a VW but principle is the same

Adblue
To be honest no idea I just do it until it stops flowing. One other thought I think you should refill fully and not just part fill it hence why I do it until it stops flowing from the small bottle.
-
Adblue
One or two other thoughts Always refill adblue when the car is horizontal don't do it parked on a hill. When the adblue is full turn the ignition on do NOT start the engine, leave for about a minute then switch off. This sets the level in the ECU. Well that's what I've been told
-
Adblue
I just top mine up as and when normally about 2-2500. I have a 10 liter container in the garage and use the 1.8 liter bottle to fill the tank refilling it as necessary from the 10L container until the adblue stops flowing out and that's it. Whether that's correct or not NFI but I've been doing it like that for 12 months.
-
Adblue
Normally do mine when it's down to a couple of thousand left so every 2500 miles or so.
-
Adblue
That is exactly what I do. Cheapest 1.8L bottle was from Toyota on eBay I lied it's £1 cheaper on Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/2GqnG9R then just fill as needed
