  1. These sound great, based on my experiences so far withe the BMD stuff. Im going to try resist for now, but my student loan comes in soon and i think I'm going to struggle.... Ordered this months waxy box too, so need to at least try keep the habit(addiction) to new products in check.
  2. That's the sample size, 50ml I believe.
  3. Cheers Not too bad really i suppose, the wax in a normal pot is £130 isn't it? Thanks i did attempt to correct the paint last summer and that has by far made the biggest difference. Also made the products i use a lot more effective Cheers. Wow, a extensive collection! Is this yours? which is your favourite? (if it is) A beading shot from this morning
  4. Ive seen the wooden pots and thought they wouldn't look out of place in a front room. These are even better, they look like pistons? Had a go with all three products today. Manly to reduce the monotony of revision. Atlanis shampoo was good and sudsy, and felt to have plenty of lubrication. I normally use autoglym shampoo and there was a lot less drag than there is with that. I did a good job removing most of the the streaks and dirt from about 700 miles on wet winter roads But did however struggle with some streaks left up the bonnet. But the car was filthy so id put it down to that not a lacking of the product. over all i liked it but it didn't blow my mind. To remove the streaks left on the bonnet i decided to give Adonis pre-wax cleanser a try. Im super impressed! i put a small blob on a foam pad and it very quickly left me with a good clean surface. Much easer that super resin polish. no dust or difficulty removing. Seen as i had just cleansed the bonnet i thought have a little go with Morpheus. At some point i will do the whole car once the weather is better and i have time too prep it properly. But I'm still impressed. Despite some difficulty applying, that I'm putting down to weather and me always trying to use too much product. In the end i got on a thin layer that came off a few minuets later with next to no effort. Below are the results Closest to a before shot i have After!
  5. My order arrived, just need bit of good weather now to give it a go!!
  6. Im already excited, seeing this doesn't help haha..... Im finishing my chemistry degree next year, and its its just hit me i need to apply for jobs at detailing product producers!!....
  7. just what i wanted to hear! Il make sure to get some picture up once its on, any excuse to post a shiny picture... Probably won't be February ish till i get round to it though :( Think I'm going to try auto finesse temptation too, so I've tried more wax's and can decided if the expensive ones are worth it too me.
  8. So far I've had, P-zero, Rainsport-3, and hankook icebear something winters. The hankook, seem the least grippy.. but they are a winter tyre (1st I've tried so difficult to comment). The P-zeros where okay would of said great until i tried the Rainsport 3's. The Rainspout 3's are the best I've had on it yet, never spin up in 3rd, have to be provoked to get understeer. But thats just my opinion, and as with most tyre reviews very subjective.... I will however be buying Rainsport 3's again, best in that price bracket i think.
  9. Just ordered a sample pot of the above in the sale they have on at the moment after seeing it on detailing world, super excited! Has anyone else used this, any feedback or tips? It will be the first "premium" wax I've used. Im hoping for good result with a big improvement over what i normally use (bsd, ex-p, or nattys blue) and that it will work well with the flake in Black Magic paint. heres a link to the product and sale for anyone else who might be interested, i also ordered, adonis Paint cleanser and atlantis shampoo due to been over excited about the sale... Opps. http://www.bmdluxurycarwax.co.uk/wax-samples
  10. Ex-P, Followed by BSD works great for me too. Good shine and good protection.
  11. One thing i'd recommend for black magic is, Poor Boys Blackhole Glaze. I found it to be excellent to use, easy on and off, and it has given me great results in hiding swirls etc. Seems to last okay with a sealant on top too. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=494
  12. Could it be the rear anti roll bar, and the bushings are a little worn?
  13. Yeah, in my final year, living just off the high street. Are you a student in Bangor too, or a resident if that makes sense?
  14. I sometimes work in a off road bike shop, we get this sort of thing all the time. Usually something like, "Hi m8 £1000 cash on this?" on something advertised at say £1700. We politely decline of course and often get "Thats well too much though" or "you'll never get that for it m8" ext. Fairly standard i think.
  15. I found the SDI cheep to insure as a first car, might be worth a look.
  16. I had this recently, it was caused by a wire breaking off from the reverse gear sensor on the gearbox. Thats where id look first.
  17. I had exactly the same problem, just resorted to more force. Got it in eventually.
  18. With the little spraying i have done i found it best to mask off whole whole panels, and blend. So for example for the wing, mask the arch, door, bumper, and windows off, spray the area you want + some to blend it in. A good polish after that and from my experience should be a good result. But tbh i think that is what you have described doing to sort it anyway, hope this helps a little.
  19. Found some generous light while out on my bike, made it look twice as nice as it does
  20. Hammertie did do smooth green that was the same but its now discontinued. However pantone 348 is a standard colour that a paint mixing place should be able to sort for you and its a match for the stock colour. I will try get a picture up of mine in this colour later, used standard non-heat resistant paint and its okay for now (3-4 months on). Hopefully stays that way!!
