some questions for sdi owners
eddy field replied to sparkymarc92's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I had an SDI and it was brilliant, as said above big mpg's easily achievable. It is slow but can go up hills fine, 0-60 in 16 seconds is just a long time but by no means too slow for driving happily and safely. I borrowed a ford Ka for a bit and id say the SDI was more pleasant but lazier was the best description i can come up with. Makes a great motorway car compared to something like a for Ka too IMO. -
Two covers bought. Perfect condition. Arrived quickly Cheers

Im not doubting they do, just wondering how on the Fabia with it having a solid rear beam. Is it simply reducing flex in the beam or is there more too it than that? Cheers Eddy

Hi, yeah i did consider poly bush but went cupra and it now looks like a mistake opps. Think thats going to be my plan but its a high tensile bolt and my hacksaw seems to be having little to no effect. And i have ti be honest i forgot!! so my own doing, sat staring at the sandpaper i bought to do it now!! :/ Thank you for the advice, il certainly try it -
Basically the cupra bush is stuck half way in my fitting tool nut and bolt have seized so i need someone with nuts bolts and probably and angle grinder to come help me out in cwmbran. If there is anyone who can they will be suitably beer tokened. Hope there is someone to help, Thanks Eddy

After visiting adamal and still having no luck accessing the module i have had a look and found a broken pin in the connector for the levelling sensor. Can be seen on the bottom right just. So need a new levelling sensor, is that the right name for the component? and to remove the pin from the multi pin plug. hopefully then it will play ball
-
I should make it, going to try change console bushes on the side of the road on saturday so hopefully i won't of killed it and it will be drivable still.
-
Okay cheers for that connection speed? sounds confusing already haha Yeah seems odd it works with some modules and not others, guess thats where the extra money goes on a proper cable. Hi Adamal, I'm based in cwmbran most of the time. Sounds like a great offer, when are you free?
-
Hurrrm I thought that but i have had managed to access other blocks like ABS, Engine ect. Can a cable issue cause a problem with specific areas?

Hi, I need to adjust my Xenon headlights so i tried to put them it to the "adjust mode" as per ross tech website guide. However when clicking on 55-xenon range, no module is found :( Im only using unregistered vcds lite is this my problem. Has anyone else had this problem or know why it could be? Many Thanks Eddy

I have had search but can't find the the answer. I understand the hex have to be parallel to the floor and sky if that makes sense is this correct? And there is a white mark on both of the bushes is this significant? And the prongs on the back of the bush are they significant? il try add pictures to make my nonsense clearer. Cheers.

I tried IPA and it worked! well on most, but i think i need to spend more time on some of the smaller chips. I used halfords circuit cleaner as my source of IPA, as the msds, shows that it is the main component along with propellents. Thanks for the advice.
