  1. You got that right. Spraying will still be £25, unless anybody knows a cheaper alternative that doesn't involve a rattle can and a full day of my time.
  2. New panel is £7.50 directly from dealers, ordered and getting it sprayed. No point messing about with a smart repair.
  3. Bump, come on lads and ladies, somebody grab a bargain!
  4. Panel part number 1Z5 813 345, going to give TPS a ring tomorrow, see how much a new panel would be.
  5. Got the panel off. Needed to remove the rear light. Had some pretty intense heat from a hairdryer on the reverse and tried pressing it out to no avail :(
  6. Chris, how to you remove the small panel? Cheers.
  7. 'Whip' it off, haha I like the enthusiasm mate!
  8. The panel where the damage is the small section above the main bumper area below the light - can this section be removed from the bumper by removing the light? This would make repair a lot easier as I could probably push the dent out.
  9. Cheers Manyo, I am aware the paint will need touching up but how will the dent reverse over time? Cheers.
  10. Hey guys, Annoyingly parked a little to close to the garage today, upon opening it, the corner of the garage door has made a nice gouge in my bumper. Car is a race blue Octavia vrs. Pictures: The dent is about 5mm across and vertical as far as you can see on the pictures. Tried hot water in a hope it would pop out, no luck. Any way to get the dent out? What is the best way to go about repairing this without paying for it professionally? I have access to most detailing products and a DA polisher. Cheers, Stu.
  11. These will be going back on the car before giving them away for nothing haha!
  12. Bump. Price reduced to £150 This is a bargain for 4 decent tyres!
  13. Had a Fabia vRS 1.4TSI before the Octavia vRS and that used to drink oil, the Octavia however hasn't touched a drop since buying it a year ago.
  14. Hi Bellster, I have some Fabia vRS mats with red stitching sat in my garage from my old Mk2 Fabia, if you are interested? PM me if you are.
  15. This will not work in your Fabia. Your Fabia has the new white maxi dot, this module is for the older red displays (DDP). You want the BAP modules for your car. Edit: See here: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Telephone_Retrofitting
  16. Hi all, Up for sale are: 2 X Continental Sport Contact 2 2 X Avon ZV5 All in 225/40/18, all have around 5mm of tread remaining. No repairs, punctures or damage. Pictures: Collection from Preston area. Price for the lot £170.
  17. Mine had the phone button on the steering wheel but didn't come with BT as standard, I retrofitted BT the other week. So I am afraid having the phone button on the steering wheel is definitely no indication that a BT module is fitted.
  18. As mentioned previously they will need coding. I assume mine would have run for a while without an error, maybe a week, before giving me an error without coding. The bottom-line really is non-canbus kit and coding, there is no real way around this.
  19. Done and installed. 5K is quite bright. I didn't get any bulb error codes, but I've coded it anyway. A word of advise for people installing, the brown cable in the original bulb holder is neutral, i.e. the black cable from the ballast goes in here. Normally brown is live so this confused me somewhat and did give me an error because obviously the bulbs weren't working! Stu.
  20. I recently bought the proper VW bluetooth module and associated wiring for just over £100, if you can spare an afternoon fitting it with reasonable mechanical knowledge you'll have no issues installing it yourself. Still waiting to have mine coded, it's something to bear in mind when retrofitting, it will need coding with VCDS. See here for the available modules and compatibility: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Telephone_Retrofitting If you don't have the Columbus head unit you will need to install a microphone in the light unit and run a cable down the a-pillar. Easy job. If fitting an RSAP unit you will also need a GSM antenna, also routed down the a-pillar. The tidiest way is installing the module behind the dash, although the wiring is tight. Hope this helps.
  21. Dallen, you need to upgrade your membership to Freedom to sell items on the forum. Cheers.
