We had to declare the window tinting on the back as a mod! Also had to tell them about running two sets of wheels even though they are the same size. This declaring the slightest change from original is just their way of getting out of a claim. They can just inspect the car claim it's not standard and not declared hence no payout.

Ebay is your friend. Bought a full set for my estate earlier this year, after someone on here recommended them, for about £12! Can't fault them, fitted with no fuss and are still working well now, why pay double/triple just for a name. Wish I could remember the seller. I'm sure someone will come along and help with the sellers name.

Good result and sounds like you had a lot of fun. I found a full sus more fun than a hardtail and looking forward to trying the new bike out. Hoping for a quick blast before work on sunday. Might have to look into doing an endurance race next year with some friends.

Since it's been quiet on this bit for a while thought I'd bring back as I've just got a new(to me) bike. Managed to get a Norco Sight 2 2012 model for £700, full XT and all in good running order. Just need time out on it, thinking Cannock, Degla or Lee Quarry in the next week or two. Biggest surprise compared to my old bike was how wide the handlebars are, like cow horn bars of the 80s. Can't wait What's everyone else been upto?

I've got the Avon Ice touriing on the Neptunes which will be going on in the next week, only because the front Contis are shot! Time to get the Interlagos refurbed for next year.

I've managed 49mph on my mountain bike coming down hill from the Fenicular train in Aviemore. Had the gps on and a car following me! Most on the road bike so far is 44mph.

That looks as bad as my powervalve did years ago, pity I wasn't as lucky about the injuries. I didn't walk for 6 months!

Unfortunately there are too many riders that bought to "fit in" with what their mates have. They haven't got a clue what to do when it comes to a corner but will rip past you in a straight line. Have to admit I haven't done much mileage in the last few years, but my excuse is the two sproglets I now have

I'd thought that but it only does it on the offside. I've never heard it before in the 3 years I've had it or on anything similar on my previous cars.

I was informed by the Mrs today that there's a pssst noise coming from the off side front wheel. Now this noise is only really noticeable when going over a speed bump. I've checked the tyre and nothing wrong there, so the next thing to come to mind is the shock. I had the car in two/three with a noise from this side before but they found nothing wrong. That noise then was more a whop whop whop when going round corners. Anybody else had this problem or have any suggestions on the matter. Car is just out of warranty which means I'll have to foot the bill...

I couldn't care less about what others think about my attire when riding, It's my safety I'm concerned about. I use to wear full leathers on my GS500 when I had it.

Anybody do Cannock Chase or Sherwood pines regular that wouldn't mind someone latching on? I changed job and find that I'll have more free time but my riding mate changed job and now lives too far away. Depending on shift I can even do post work rides so long as the place isn't more than an hour from Nottingham. Sad plea but new work colleagues aren't two wheel minded more two beers!

I the memories will come back, very narrow, lots of bends and no overtaking but the sun should be out :sun: Have fun.

Well I finally got some photos up on flickr of the NW200. For those who watched or visited will know that not much racing happened in the end. Washout on the Saturday due to the excessive rain. Shame really but the best decision considering the conditions. Didn't take to many pics as I didn't want a water logged camera. Would have liked to have taken more from Thursday but didn't get there until later in the afternoon, though we only just made the ferry Wednesday night! I think it was the 3rd time it's been rained off in recent years. What's frustrating is that the Friday was glorious and we did a coastal ride that was spectacular. Anyway anybody going to Donington tomorrow? I'll be there after getting a late invitation from a friend. Best pack the sun lotion :sun:

On the 10.30 Liverpool ferry. If you see a group riding a Tuono R(me obviously), black GSXR 750, old yellow Triumph Daytona, green ZX10R and not sure of the fifth bike yet but it will be two up, that'll be us. Which are you likely to be on?

As per other thread I'll be there. Over night ferry Wednesday then head for the caravan Thursday morning. No idea what the plan is as we'll be meeting others there, plus doing some riding about(depending on the rain). 3 more sleeps to go :zzz:
