  1. So can’t help with the difference part. But; what state are the 19’s in? Are they silver, anthracite or black? Tyre condition? Got a link to the car in question (Autotrader).
  2. Indeed. I live round the corner from the owner of a Mercedes C180 Brabus Type-R Sport AMG. Hero.
  3. Average of 35 here for the last 3 years.
  4. Snow foam dry for me. Rinsing first means the foam hits a lubricated surface and runs off faster. That’s my take anyway. The above does depend on how dirty the car is. If there are large chunks of mud, then yeah rinse first.
  5. My opinion is the same here as well...
  6. Indeed. I’ve had bigger petrol engines (2.0T, 2.5T) that you can drive like a diesel. Smaller though and you can’t really do it.
  7. I’m kinda struggling to see where the second gen models have an advantage over the first gen (which is what I have and have had for a number of years now).
  8. If you’re not going to unlatch remotely, what’s the point in the mod then?
  9. Don’t fancy it myself. Watching your boot open and crash into that low ceiling in the multi-story? Not for me 😉
  10. Find someone near you with VCDS (or similar) to activate it. It’s a 10 second job.
  11. Why would the lease company pay? They don’t pay for servicing.
  12. I think expecting a box fresh car at 7,000 miles is unreasonable. If it’s been sat on a motorway for that time it’ll have picked up some marks, for sure. You should have been questioning it before purchase to see if you could get a discount or repairs done. No point asking for more after the deal is done. Them not cleaning it properly is a bit lazy though. That’s a pretty basic thing to do. None of this is reason enough to reject the car.
  13. The instructions are saying mix 1 part wash with 1 part water and it’ll be good for temps down to -7°C and use neat for temps down to -21°C. From that, I’d probably mix 1 part wash to 2 parts water for current summer temperatures. Tap water is fine.
  14. Or just quickly whip a wheel off, fit it and see.
  15. Bit of a hyperbole reply that one. The light misting is a common advisory (Google it) and doesn’t 100% mean trouble.
  16. Is this genuine? anyway, think it’s there all the time.
  17. Yeah I was starting to think that myself. This thread alone is enough to put me off DSG. Christ, I’d have finished my journey by the time modes have been switched, manoeuvre completed then back to cruising again. I think some are way over complicating it.
  18. Indeed. Someone on here recently made an arse of coding something using apps.
  19. Sport. I then use my right foot to emulate the other two modes.
  20. New clutch required on a 3 year old car? Has it covered a huge distance?
  21. Mine occasionally does it. It’s had a firmware/software (not sure which) update at the dealer but still does it. Going into the settings and turning the set time using gps off then back on fixes it so Ive never bothered doing anything else. Doesn’t seem to affect anything.
  22. You could get the heated seats on their own but not the screen. If you wanted the screen you had to get the seats, washers and screen as a ‘winter pack’. The button for the heated screen is in the middle of the centre rotary dial of the climate controls.
