  1. They’re pre-facelift LED clusters. The only bits that are LED are side lights and brake lights though. Everything else is filament bulb.
  2. That’s just the internet though. A place to live out a life you don’t live. Did I ever tell you about the time I had Nelson Mandela over for a curry and a pint..?
  3. Find one with service history. They’re not rare, won’t be that hard to find one.
  4. Assuming the online configurator will be updated soon? I believe - and have seen - there are a few UK demos now at dealers.
  5. Return the wipers to park when the ignition is turned off (might be done by default now). Change the headlamp washers to require a 2 second pull and hold of the wiper stalk. Id also opt to get the rear lights on as DRLs as well.
  6. You can still very easily lose your licence in a 150bhp diesel though? Not really sure I see the point but whatever. Almost like there is an underlying reason.
  7. I’m risking it and going without any post 3 year warranty. Like you say, nothing of major note has really been highlighted on here that gives me cause for concern. I know the car and treat it with mechanical sympathy and therefore can’t see it needing hundreds of pounds worth of work needing done in the next 2 years (excluding consumables). I do put money aside each month however. Just in case (touches wood).
  8. Good info but PCP is different to PCH.
  9. What was your contract? Mine was 3+35 at £300 with a 12,000 mile allowance. I bought it for £12,150.
  10. VWFS do allow you to purchase it. I did back in June. Painless process. They sent an invoice with bank details, I transferred the amount due. Car became mine. The end.
  11. I think that’s bad reporting. Gonna be that guy as well and point out that wheels are not kerb magnets. Drivers are.
  12. Light dial needs to be set to ‘Auto’ as well. Oh, and it needs to be dark.
  13. Possibly becoming a bit obsolete with our ever increasing march towards contactless and digital ‘everything’. Certainly does come in handy on the odd occasion though.
  14. That’s a great standard spec IMO. The standard wheels being 19” is a good move. The 18”s in other markets look pony and make it look really under wheeled. Winter pack is the only addition for me. No rear wiper either. I’d be waiting for the manual too.
  15. ADAS isn’t a thing itself. It’s an umbrella term for a suite of safety systems.
  16. I think it has. But I’m also keeping it mind that these rumours fly around every time an iOS update comes out and that I may just be seeing something that isn’t there. A placebo if you will.
  17. How can OEM’s get tyres on wheels with no damage? Is there something about the replacement process that leaves wheels susceptible to damage? Or is it that we just don’t see the damaged wheels from the factory? Is there I giant pile of scuffed alloys out the back next to the staff car park
  18. Different climates would be my guess.
  19. I’m not sure the “then why add them” question is really valid. There looks to be other lights in the inner cluster (reverse/fog?). Other Skoda models have similar dual cluster setups with different parts lighting up depending on what spec you have. As do other marques. With all that said however, all evidence does point towards your particular vehicle not being to the expected specification.
  20. There is an option in the infotainment where you can change the activation from Early, Normal or Late (or something like that). Keep in mind that auto lights will come on during poor lighting conditions. That doesn’t just mean when it’s dark. Low bright light behind you can also trigger them. Equally, the auto function is there to assist. Not take over from the driver altogether. If you fell the lights should or should not be on at a certain time, over ride them.
  21. Try cleaning the glass, like properly cleaning it. With IPA. see if that helps. “It’s brand new so should be squeaky clean” it won’t be.
  22. All of them should. I’d guess the only exception might be poverty ‘S’ models.
  23. Battery in the correct way?
