  1. It's got a heavy engine over the front wheels. You can change lots of things to make it better, but just don't expect it to rival a Clio Cup.
  2. Pffft. :P Didn't warrant a new thread, and the pretty pink text attracts many to it. Sorry. :( [edit] Buying an unlocked phone was mentioned, I'm sure...
  3. Where's a good/cheap place to get an unlocked new phone? I'm currently on Flext35 paying £26 [got an intro offer when they first introduced the plan], including VAT. tMobile have offered £15 off my line rental so, if they exclude my intro offer, puts me down to £17 a month, after VAT, but no new phone. I currently have a W800i. Does everything I need but it's getting a bit old. Qutie fancy a W910i. Talk to me.
  4. Football Manager 2009 comes out soon.
  5. I think us real vRS owners have you beat on destroying the universe; we've got soot! Nothing like saying 'FU mother nature' than clouds of ****ty black smoke. --- A faux vRS would beat my real vRS as if I was having a go, and if I used WOT the time continuum would bend, and probably break, such is the sheer power OF THE DERV.
  6. I have both car and bike licence, so have no preference either way. It's not 'all' bikers, or 'all' ped bois, or 'all' Sarfend Croozers; it's those that do what they do without care for everyone else. And to that, blame and any ill-feeling needs to be put towards the individual, not their mode of transport. Time, and a place, for even the most offensively loud of vehicles.

Thread to be updated as and when work is carried out. All or none of the above may actually happen!
  8. 22bhp increase is very impressive! What's next - brakes? M3 conversion? Good lad!
  9. Well done, you. Younger drivers crash more. Ergo; from this high-horse I'm on, I can happily blame [the collective] you for my increase in premiums. And please stop with the pink text.
  10. My first car was an '88 1.6L saloon Cav - I got bored of revs before it actually ran out of them.
  11. We eating at the pub, or should one stuff one's face beforehand?
  12. On Saturday, Ross @ Unit 18 carried out my Fabia's PD130 60,000 mile service, as well as cambelt change and brake fluid change. My car is soon out of warranty, but I've only had it serviced at a dealers twice - both times I was disappointed. I plan on keeping it several more years, so would rather someone who knew what they were doing worked on it, rather than chase that ellusive dealer stamp. Ross previously uprated my car to the Cupra console bushes. I'm more than happy with the work carried out, and have no problems recommending Ross to friends, on here, as well as continue to have my future service work carried out by him. He provided an excellent quote and did the work in a timely and neat manner.
  13. No. It'll make you think you can take a corner quicker, or brake that little later. Whilst the car's performance is upgraded, your [no you personally, Doug] driving capabilities aren't. Ergo; crash.
  14. You have a large obessesion with track performance, which is puzzling given your acquisition of a diesel Fabia. Wasn't there a 106 Rallye showing the way on the Skoda track session this year at Trax? I think a mild remap will make it a better car on the road. The 'extreme' tuning done to increase performance on track has seen me not want to go down that route. I think a lot is sacrificed for very little, which is why I kinda agree with the OP. [if it's not a banned member in disguise...] Yes, I'm being a snob, but up until a year ago, the cut out bumpers, neons, lexus lights 'modified' Fabias were few and far between. Seem a regular occurance these days. I think the average age of the Fabia vRS owner is falling - which will mean the average insurance quote will go the other way. Guess the 'tart' modifying stuff just adds to the stereotype.
  15. I've removed mine and Ollie [impreza owner]'s name from the list already, but someone has copied a prior posting list and both our names are included. I can not attend, nor Ollie, so please do not include our names in running orders. Ta.
