  1. OK - it looks like I can't get the Cannondale before 23rd June, so I'll be looking at a different brand. Not interested in another Specialized (have one) so what would my cycling friends recommend at a price between ?1800 and ?2000? I've looked at a Giant TCR Composite 1 and a Felt F4. The Trek Madone 4.5 looks nice too!Anyone with any experience of riding these bikes?

depends on the sort of riding your going to do. I've got a santa cruz heckler and use it for xcross country and its brill. also had giant faith for downhill and that was good too

      He's looking at roadies mate!

I bought a Ribble, full 12k weave carbon monocoque, Campag 2011 Chorus 11 speed groupset, Campag scirocco clincher wheels, under your budget. A little rocketship, climbs brilliantly, even with my 'well nourished' carcass on board!

you can spec up every component as you want, & you've got something different to the herd!

  2. Sat at the cafe in the sun. Nice.

  3. I'm going to the Beehive.

  5. The Paris - Roubaix - The Hell Of The North. One hell of a bike race. All you footballers should bow down to these Spartans of the sporting world and feel humbled. What a race.

that gets my vote. Cancellara did well to come second.

  6. Is it just me, or does the Centaur Statue in Uttoxeter look like it's playing air guitar?

  7. Been for a nice ride in the sun - a good choice not to work my ARD.

  8. Do I work my ARD or not? Well, what a conundrum I'm in.

  9. Nice looking motor and good choice on the Opti-Seal. Had mine done when I picked it up and going to do it again next month.
  10. Dinner cooked and eaten- I did Baked Chicken and Chorizo and had it with salad and Chili Pasta (lots of pasta). Washing up done and kitchen cleaned. I'm becoming a bit of a domestic type!

  11. Sat at the cafe @ Fradley in the sunshine.

  12. Morning world - I hope the weather lives up to the hype today coz I'm planning a big bike ride!

  14. I have a new VRS and need a roof rack to carry my bikes. I currently have a Saris Bones back rack but the spoiler is going to make it hard to carry the bikes legally (lights and number plate) as I don't have a tow bar fitted. I previously owned Thule roof mounting systems and I've been looking at this one - Option C and this bike mount. Does anyone have any experience of using these systems and does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance. Rich
  15. Is having a nice day off.

  16. Tour Of Flanders 2011, a beautiful race and a very impressive finish. I was on the edge of my seat while watching the last 90K. Well done to Nick Nuyens but what a shame for Silvan Chavanel, the man of the race in my opinion.

  17. A very small portion of chips along with a single fish-cake for tea tonight. I'd cook but we've got nothing out of the freezer!

  18. Well, the 3 Days De Panne had a bloody exciting finish.

Looked pretty mundane as sprints go

  19. Bike ride done, bike washed, car washed and now time to bleach the sink, do the washing (and washing up) and cook my dinner - and my wife claims I don't do anything around the house!

  20. Sat at the cafe at Fradley in the sun.

  21. It could be but I really like the way that Opti-Seal is a wipe on and forget product - it hardly needs any buffing as it dries to a shine rather than a haze. Not sure on waxes, I do like sealants. What would you recommend? Rich
  22. I don't have any swirls - been keeping the car nice and swirl free
  23. In the summer I'm intending to renew the Opti-Seal sealant on my car. It was done by a professional detailer but I'm sure I can do it myself. I'm going to clay the car (new in January so it should be ready for claying by June) and then the plan is to add a new coat of sealant. I don't have a machine polisher but was wondering if anyone out there would recommend hand polishing the car before sealing the paintwork? Opti-Seal seems to do a great job of bringing out the shine on the car so I'm not sure what to do. I'll be doing the wifes Fiesta at the same time as mine. If you think polish would be a good idea then what would you recommend? I have a Race Blue Octy vRS. Thanks in advance, Rich
  24. Screwfix do 50 for £20.00! Excellent value.
