  1. It looks as if I have the later sensor already installed. Just checked the fault codes and the following has reappeared: 012600 - Intake Manifold Runner Control P3138 - 006 - Regulation Deviation - Intermittent So I went for a run to see if it would regen and after 20mins of driving in 4th at 2200rpm, the DPF load increased from 12% to 17% with no signs or indication of it attempting a regen. One thing I have noticed is that the ross-tech wiki states the temp before turbo should be greater than 700c for a regen, but at no point does it reach that, even with hard acceleration it ranges from 200-450. So what else could it be?
  2. Managed to force a regen again and the lights have gone off. I will be visually checking which sensor is fitted tommorow (hopefully the made in us one). Is a software update required if a new sensor is fitted?
  3. So consensus is that the sensor could be the underlying problem as to why the DPF is not regen'ing. Just to clarify the EML came on after the glow plug and limp home mode started. I see my original post is a bit misleading. The glow plug light flashing has been intermittent, mainly coming on when its seriously cold outside i.e. less than 5degrees. It just flashes for a while then turns off. The DPF light turned on around Tuesday last week and didnt go off and by Thursday the car entered 'limp home' on the way into work. At this point the EML had not illuminated. When I started the car after work the EML was on. Forced a regen on Thursday night which lasted till Yesterday. Didnt regen all yesterday and 5 mins from home it entered limp home. I've not driven it since yesterday but I imagine if I do the EML will turn on. Hope this is a bit clearer.
  4. Can I ask what makes you think that and is there any definitive way to check it.
  5. This is a copy of the VCDS log from Saturday when I got it scanned. This is few days after the forced regen had been done. 2 fault codes present. 6. Last week when the cold weather really kicked in I started to get a flashing glow plug light but thought nothing of it as it went off after it got warm. Then strangely the DPF light came on midweek on the way home from work which is a 15 mile 50+mph route (usually comes on at weekend when driving around town). The next morning I drove to work expecting the light to go off and it didnt and I noticed I had reduced power too and I couldnt rev over 2500rpm. This was closely followed by the EML.That night I had to force a regen through VCDS which worked, but I'm now back to square one as the DPF light came on again yesterday and after trying for an hour to get it to regen I got the reduced power and rpm again. The EML is not on yet but I imagine it will be if I drive it further. So basically there seems to be an underlying issue that's not allowing the car to regen itself. I do know that it has a fault code stored which I'll post later, but can anyone help with where to start?
  7. May be interested in passenger rear door if its the same as a saloon?
  8. 121K and still on original discs and pads
  9. Confimed to be the gearbox mount. Any suggestions where to get one? It is under the battery.
  10. I'm getting the lurching effect when I come off throttle sometimes and I can feel the endine rock when I blip the throttle in neutral. After a bit of reading it points to the engine mount(s), but which one of the three is the culprit? Also do all Octy II's share the same engine mounts? Thanks Ad.
  11. To me! It's safe to say Steve has never had a buyer like me
  12. Loads of info on themgzr.co.uk and mg-rover.org. Plenty of recommended garages that do the conversion too.
  13. My experience is that the fabia FEELS faster, but in a straight line drag to 100 what is actually faster?
  14. Simply put, which of the two is the quicker accelerating when considering the MK1 Fab and the MK2 PD Octy? Also, when both are remapped?
  15. How would I check for mieage discrepancies on a 2005 vRS using VCDS? I don't have it but a member on here has offered to check over a car I my buy and he's not sure how you would check that.
  16. Hi, Looking to get a fabia vRS in Rochdale checked out and wondering if you anyone with VCDS could help me? Thanks Ad.
  17. Hi guys, I am interested in buying a 2005 Golf GT TDI from a chap in High Wycombe, he has made me aware the 'emissions workshop' warning flashes on startup and then goes off, it is not accompanied by any other warning lights. Would anyone be able to help in diagnosing the fault prior to me purchasing the car? Many Thanks Ad.
  18. No it's not a judder through the car. When viewing the engine it's shakes about a fair bit more than what I consider normal. This may be normal for a BLT engine however? The shake/judder is not transferred to the cabin.
  19. Were these seats an option from factory or has this been modified? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110907427005?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  20. The advert has mysteriously changed overnight. No DMF problems this was more engine or mount related (BLT engine).
  21. I went to view the following car today and decided to do a bit more research before making an offer as it ticks all the boxes for me. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251079937032?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 Negatives: On idle, the engine shakes/rocks about a fair amount, more than is normal sort of like a misfire but not. Other than that, the steering was all over the place, even at low speed there was a slight vibration coming through the wheel and I had to hold the wheel firm when approaching bumps. The car has no MOT/tax and needs a service. The last MOT advisory (06/2011) was 'O/S/R Brake caliper is stiff to move and has therefore got reduced brake efficiency'. Drivers seat has a rip and interior needs a good clean. No paperwork apart from last MOT. Positives: Bodywork is straight with minimal stone chips and just 2 'dents'. 1 owner from new and always serviced and MOT'd at Mitchell Skoda with a fully stamped book to 83K. Not included in the ad but has cruise, 6CD changer and parking sensors. Any advice with the bad points and what you think the car is worth?
  22. Just to confirm, is there any service history with the car and is it 05 or 55?
