  1. i would just tell them to keep that i can not express how shocked i am it has TOOK THIS LONG to fix audrey and who knows if she will be back
  2. yes even i have been doing this, every night when i get home i polish all the interior espeially the door sills as everyone seems to catch there feet on them, and even the seat belts, every one doesn't put them back!! so they are left tangled, and i have to fix them and put the buckle in the appropriate possiton, don't matter to me im on 5 year HP finance, im tied to the car for at least 2 and half years but i love it and even though you feel a bit lonley out there with no to many superbs on the road i still see about a minimum 8 a day mainly in my area as a good few are too on as taxi
  3. Hope the op goes okay and that you make a healthy and speedy recovery
  4. i know the s octy mk2 is lacking in kit, but even some of the stuff in the superb s you dont get on a elegance octy mk2 e.g auto lights, and know exactly what your on about with the hard to pull saloon mode if one hand is full and you try to close the boot it is a bit tricky, but the legroom, is astonishing!! i love it as does my passangers, even had a a young lady give me a £5 tip for the sheer amount of space in the back!
  5. im closing in to 18000 already! and only had the car since January and when i got it there was only 10 miles on the clock
  6. i have seen it for about £200, and i am actually considering getting it done when my superb goes in for its 18000 mile service next week
  7. very good, i have an S spec but still love mine, can you believe the space in the back ! its crazy, and you figured out the boot mechanism yet
  8. at this rate its going to be a full series (not the BMW kind)
  9. so when it comes back she should be in mint condition, no need to sell :D
  10. Just seen this on bookface, quite nice i have to say
  11. hope it gets fixed soon, hard seeing (especially a new car) damaged, in 2003 i had a similar story i was driving down a narrow street in my octavia taxi, and on the right hand side of the road there was another taxi dropping off at a house, next thing i know someone opens the rear inside door on the other taxi i slammed by brakes on but it was too late and it took my door mirror off, the stupid bitch was told by the driver to get out on the pavement side but she didn't and i got the brunt of it. so i had to go down to the end of the road turn and come back up, the driver said he would be my witness and she didn't give a care in the world and just went, into her house, i went to the door and started hell and eventually i got the money of her and the next day it went into a skoda dealer and got fixed, some people ehh
  12. I have too noticed this, usually by this time the new number plates are in full swing, but i am struggling to see at least one 13 plate a day, it wouldn't really bother me have a 13 plate, my wife is dead superstitious though, i thought she would have made a song and dance about me getting a new car at the start of the year, but i got mine in January so its a 62 plate, she is more afraid (or was) of my niece in laws 58 plate vectra, cause 5+8 =13. she now has a 13 plate zafira and this doesn't bother her, it was her old vectra that got he worried due the the 58 in the reg
  13. Miles has your superb done? i'm at 16,400 miles the now and had it since January, what is your current millage?
  14. yeah i traded my octavia in too, it had 108,000 on it and it went straight to auction too, i too was quite sad driving mine into the dealer i had it since 2008 brand new and it is amazing how you think of a lump of metal as a person, i thought when reversing out of the drive on the morning o exchange this is the last time i'l reverse it out the drive way and when i got to the dealer and turned it off i thought this is the last time i'l sit in it but when i sat in the superb i was blown away with the space and still am, i completely forgot about the octavia and only thought of it again when the next day one of the other taxi drivers said that the car was a beauty (he has a 61 plate octavia), then i looked looked at central car auctions website and it was only there 6 days and then it was sold, and last month i seen it in bellshill with Glasgow PH plates on it, the car before the 57 plate octy a 55 plate octy i had, it is another local taxi up here and see if every week and give the guy a wee wave when i see him, and he is selling it in a few month and might be interested in buying it back, says he is only looking for £600 or so and it has 220,000 mile on it, but the interior is immaculate as its always got seat covers on and the exterior is in fine nick too
  15. Welcome to the superb clan, hope the octy finds a good home, the superb is a brill car and i came from a 57 plate octy mark 1 and the difference was mind boggling, the quietness and ride of the superb is 110% better, and the double boot is the cars party piece and i love it maybe a bit gimmicky but when you need to put a buggy or suitcases in the boot it really shines through and one of the other taxi drivers has a 12 plate passat and he came from a mk1 superb and says the legroom in the mk1 superb still beats the passat hands down
  16. well was waiting for a hire today with another driver, he has a 61 plate 1.6 tdi CR octavia, i asked him to start it and listen too it, he did and it made the noise too, but quite subtle, and then seen another driver later in the day he has a 60 plate 1.6 tdi CR passat and he started his and it was a wee bit louder, he noticed it starting around the 10,000 mile mark and took it into a VW dealer and the mechanic said it is the turbo wearing in properly and nothing to be worried about he has had a few TDI'S in asking about the noise but is is normal, now i can relax again
  17. car started making noise again tonight, defo something wrong
  18. And all day today the noise went away, even when cold all the to hot, weird
  19. From looking at your location, people outside the UK can't see it
  20. It stopped doing it for a while today, but then started again earlier on, i am convinced the turbo is faulty or a hose has came off somewhere and when the engine is cold that little siren noise gets even louder , when it gets its service next month i will tell the mechanic to look at it and rectify the problem as this hasn't done it before
  21. well with your annual milage of 8000 or so a year maybe you would be better off with a Petrol car, but still Audrey is the exact car you where looking for and why sell her so soon? give it a good think and don't do anything you will later regret
  22. god sake Wayne, you've not had it long, if you do sell someone will be getting a nice car
