  1. if you are getting the superb for space you will NOT be disappointed better watch the kids in the back, they might get lost . But really I have had mine for 7 month and must say it really is superb
  2. Well at the. End of the day, most cars are going to have had some work done here and if it is metallic paint usually the full panel will be done to get s good match, as long as the job has been done right there is no need to worry
  3. again, lovely and makes the pre Fl look quite..... cheap i think, but one thing i don't like, there is no "superb" etched into the headlamps, one thing i really like on mine
  4. God sake, some people ehh? That is me feeling a bit worried now as my superb is a taxi (ph) and anyone from the back will see the plate, window sticker, bumper stamp and radio arial, and i try my best to hide the money inside the car, I keep my pound and 2 pound coins in the ashtray, my silver in a tub below the handbrake, and my coppers in the cup holders, I hide everything at night when I go into the house and make sure the sat nav (Garmin) is away from prying eyes, and yesterday was the 1st time my superbs alarm went off yesterday, parked out side a shop and went in, my son was with me but he stayed in the car and I as usual take the keys out the car with me and locked it, he got the fright of his life when it went off
  5. I have seen a good few 13 plate yetis recently on my journeys, but the last time I had a car on an AA recovery truck was when I stupidly drove the car at night when I shoun't have (had a cataract in my left eye) and the blur was very bad and I am half blind in my right eye, I then went over a pedestrian island and ripped the sump off the Octavia, luckily that was the only damage and got it lifted to a skoda dealer and then got the car delivered to my house to save anymore accidents. Didn't drive for another 6 weeks after I had my operation and recovered
  6. Lovely, can obvisly see the mkII superb lines there but looks a whole lot better I think, get the vat offer on skoda and get them out of the showrooms
  7. look forward to the pics, I was at my local dealer today and they have really dropped the drive on pre Fl to get the fl in
  8. Reminds me of the seat Ibiza estate, very.... Mini
  9. ive got a S spec superb and didn't spec HHC, as for the E handbrake, how the hell are you meant to use that on a hill start? i prefer the normal mechanical brake, and i was looking at a 12 plate S spec Passat from Arnold but when i seen it has the E handbrake it scared me right off and the normal brake suites me to a tea
  10. well in my opinion in the taxi trade pug, Citroen, Vauxhall, ain't for the job, my niece had a 58 plate vectra 1.9 CDTI and within 50,000 miles the turbo and swirl pots had failed, 2 weeks later a local taxi driver had the same problem both replaced their cars, me niece got a zafira and the taxi driver got a Octavia, skoda rules the trade up here with the Octavia, rapid and superb, one driver had 2 insignias in the space of 6 months in which the engines completely failed under 30k, he now has a 13 plate SE spec 1.6 rid rapid, in my opinion the only decent car manufactures at the moment are VW,Audi and merc, I buy skoda as it has all the VW running gear at a reasonable price.
  11. thanks, if the vat offer came back, oh boy would that sell!!
  12. Yep and not a single breakdown during the 10 years, just go's to show ehh, none of that vauxhall crap anyways
  13. Was reading the autocar mag and I noticed it the "new cars coming soon" section there is a FL yeti at the end of 2013 and a yeti+2 at the start of next year, didn't know that
  14. Hi there i too am a MKII Superb owner and mine is also a 62 plate, mine is a 1.6 tdi and the millage is 20600 and the front tyres have about 4000 mile left and the back have about 10000 i'd say, don't know why they put the rubber on but? maybe they done it out of generosity or something along those lines as they wouldn't need replaced at those miles, not unless the car was still on original continentals from the factory and they wan't to sell them and make more money
  15. no i always do the same thing too, if i see another superb parked up... emm quickly park, photo, and drive off,
  16. I wouldn't do it at all, about 8 years ago i used to sponsor a local restaurant/pub in the area and i had the liveries on my octavia taxi for 12 month, when my contract was up i got them removed and the marks they shadowing on the paintwork was crazy, so had to take the car into a local detailer who polished, waxed whatever he had to do to bring the paint back to normal, never done anything like that again
  17. My mk1 octavia did't stop for a while, when i 1st got it the alarm wouldn't shut up, but it then settled down for 3 years and then started again! weird
  18. Good to hear you are happy with the new car, good to see many people are buying the new octavia but it looks a bit £££££ to me
  19. I have a superb (non greenline)) 1.6 TDI hatch S spec, mine is a January 2013 62 plate and it is on 20360 Miles the now, the consumtion is good and the only prob i have had is whining starter which is getting replaced under warranty on the 5th of July
  20. Was watching a bit of the tour de france earlier on and spotted a FL superb Hatch getting used but was a corrida red? don't know if that colour will be available when it comes to the UK, allot of superbs there hatch and estate and FL and Pre FL
  21. I am now seeing more Mk3 octavias compared to mk7 Golfs, there is 2 new octavia local to me, a blue and a white one (the white one is a taxi) and i have only seen 1 new golf, but then again the rear of the new Golf is appalling makes the back of the hatch superb look lovely
  22. its not my choice were passengers sit , i was ecspecting him to go in the back but he chose not to
  23. oh yeah good cars the one piced is identical to mine except mine is not greenline just normal 1.6 TDI, and yes the space in the back is mindboggling and for the price is brill, i use mine as a taxi and the compliments you get over the octavia taxis is unreal and one of the local firms to me just bought a 3 superbs and 5 rapids, onwards and upwards for skoda
  24. my god Capitol look like a good dealer this is dirt cheap and its a 13 plate! and it is identical to mine http://www.motors.co.uk/VehicleDetailsView.aspx?carid=32758187&imageNo=1&searchguid=b68fd6f5-df99-4510-9037-a327c176fb2d
  25. it is also the case in the superbs. in my MKII Superb Taxi the handbrake and bonnet handle are on the passenger side, i have had a rather (shall we say) heavy boned man in the front seat, we were on steep hill and i had to stop due to heavy traffic when i was about to apply the handbrake i then found out it was inaccessible, so i had to hold my foot on the brake and then when we had to move off had to let the clutch up to a heavy bite and then quickly off the brake and onto the throttle, and this had to happen about 3 times, very bad design flaw and i am surprised the new octy suffers from it too
