  1. Not seen yours to my knowledge there is a another red one floating around, i have also seen a white and grey one in sittingbourne
  2. Mine has done this and cleared. I think all relating to tempretures etc etc, i think someone said it was mentioned. In the handbook. Keep and eye on it. Never any harm enquiring with dealer should you have any further concerns
  3. Evening all this may be a bit lengthy but hang in there. Im hoping sharng my opinion my help others decide. The Buying Process - We approached a dealer local to me called. sherlodge garage in Gillingham Kent. Its only a small dealer but thisnFabia had nearly the perfect Monte i had been searching for. The salesman approached us and seem friendly and genuine. Not pushy, was happy to just generally chat. Rather then focus only any particular details of the car unless we asked. After the test drive the dicussion of the deal started. I didnt barter very much as they suprised with £1300 for my Corsa (id never got that selling privately) they also agreed to rectify a couple of issue including refurbing all 4 wheels. The deal was pretty easy the salesman was more then helpful. And carried out what he promised no issues what so ever. Preformance/Handling I will start by saying that the little 1.2turbo has really impressed me. The sound the torque. Quick enough to have fun with. Im not sure what I can really add it just gets on and does it job its never missed a beat in the last two months doing 60miles aday as part of my commute to work. As for the handling side of things, despite the Sports Suspesion, big wheels and thin tyres, the ride is suprisingly comfy, on most roads its nice and smooth. Its only when you come to those poorly maintained roads round the UK where it can become a bit crashy and banging, thats not a suprise. Cornering wise. It just seems to grip and has very little bodyroll, it really gives you confidence to chuck it in to the bends, ive yet to find it out of its depth. The car still sits on Contis and they seem to have plenty of grip in wet and dry, imo. id gomas far as saying on a twisty backlanor A-road you could probley "punch above you weight" and give cars youmwould dare to race away from the lights runs for there money. Comfert/practicality The sports seats are nice and deep and wrap round you quite nicely, holding you in place quite well. I do however find the seating posistion a compremise. Im 6ft3in and personaly would prefer the seat to go back and down a bit. Dont get me wrong its not uncomfy and headroom isnt issue just more personal preference. In the rear the leg room is pretty generous if you have an average sized adult in the front (i do some times need to move my seat forward a tad if some sits behind me) the head room is a plenty in the rear. I can sit up stright in the rear and still have a couple of inches clearene of the roof. Storeage i think the storage with the cabin all very handy and more pratical then ive had in previous cars. The Fabias practicality excels in the boot, where most manufacteurs are happy with spare wheel and a bit of carpet. You get the bag hooks. Lashing eyes bag strap/holder plus two little cubbys either side of the boot opening (plus a slot for the emergeny triangle) all have been handy and used in the last two months, when buying the car i also added a platic bootliner to protect the carpet and a boot bag. The bootbag has been very handy it fixes to the side and is rather big with a carry strap. Its very handy when chucking the odd item in the boot . Design/Styling Starting with basic desgin. I really like the front end, but the rear has always been a bit uninspiring, whats more annoying is I cant put my finger on why :/ its just seems if the designers got a little bored lol, Now focusing on the Monte Carlo Side of the Styling. The red on black works best imo, the black skirts and arches, mirrors and defusers and headlights all work so well, i can only imagine someone at Skoda is kicking themselfs for nor doing this to the VRS. Ive even had some ask if it was a VRS. Now from a interior side of things, on the most part its nice my only real complaint is interior door handles. I think this the only part i can find which doesnt seem to be Very VAG. They are flimsy and dont feel nice at all lol. I also feel the Climatronic controls stop the dash looking cheap and give it a upmarket feel. I.C.E - il do a sepreate review for this as i Have the Kenwood system. Summery. Well to sum it up its a good mix of VW and Skoda lol, VW quality and reliablity and skoda thinking and design. Then fabia seems to have style yet the polo is very german lol Its playful and fun everything a hatch like this should be, its pratical and a pleasure to own. To top it off is the looks a reaction. I have not had one negitive comment. What i consider to be priceless is the watching people walk past it, stop nose around and see the Skoda badge. Average MPG Playful - Mid 30's MPG Normal - mid 40's MPG Careful - Max (so far) 54.4MPG Hope this coversit all any questions Please ask :
  4. Well skoda ones are no go und less you good with a demal or similer. If you will to chop the genuine ones these will work. Apart from that id guess you looking at the flat rally style which i personally think look awful
  5. As ive said above its a very impressive figure. The brochre surgests 42.8 urban 64.2 extra urban and combined 54.3. Now thats not bad at all then
  6. Easiest way would be use ETKA and compare parts numbers on things like turbos, etc as i cant see anything like piston or heads beibg any different.
  7. From exprience with other manfactures it could be just a map and/or Turbo. Mercedes Commercial Vehicles for example. They use the same engine in Mercedes Vito Obtaining 3 outputs (90,110,150). And out of the 3 i think only one of them had a different turbo. Eveidence of this is also seen in thir cars and trucks also.
  8. What il probley do is 2 one focusing on the Monte on the Kenwood. Il draft one out and post on friday In general im please with it and its been trouble free so far. There one or 2 things that disappoint me but as youll see it doesnt effect my overall veiw on the car. What has impressed me most is how many people come up to it and ride in it and not one has a negitive veiw despite an early ribbing when i announced i brought the car to friends n family. And even strangers have commented on its looks, ive never had a car that provoked that sort of reaction, i think thats a testiment to how far skoda have come, as i doubt i get the sane reaction driving a Corsa ltd edtion (simler black roof wheels etc) .
  9. Evening all ive been pondering wether to do a reveiw of my fabia after my first two months of ownership, Would this be of intrest to anyone?? Or just a waste of time lol????? Or would people be more intrested in a reveiw ofnthe Kenwood Media System, as it doesnt seem that comman on the fabias
  10. Its a eye looking part of the headlight known a projector Most of the fabia range has this set the exception being the S. Also if im right the IRC S2000 uses the bog standard style units
  11. I believe that is the case from i remeber (if its like a octaivia) kit they fit in the roof and only avalible in grey. Toy either need to get a parrort (cheapest option) or a bluetooth enabled unit.
  12. If im punting the fabia around i rarely see anything bellow 35, under normal driving i can usely get in to mid to late 40s, but this was an exceptional evening. Very impressive for petrol tho Very made up with the TSI
  13. Im sure this come up a few times. But it you lookin to it a bit more thereno real word. Difference between 86 or the 105 if you drive to side by side i doubt its noticable
  14. This pretty much match the average i was getting in my corsa CDTi which is impressive, but it takes a lot of hardwork and forward thinking to get there. Its not a million miles away from claimed figures really.
  15. I have the kenwood system in my monte and tbh if i had specd a new car id of gone for a amunsden and MDI over the kenwood lol
  16. Well after a fairly relaxed xommute home the other day (mainly dual carriageway/motorway. With a little in town driving over 30ish miles i returned what i considered a very good 54MPG. This was going no higher then 65mpgh keeping my revs as low as possible, and doing my best to read traffic to advoid braking/reaccelrating. Now on a average commute on this route i noramlly get 40-45 sometimes 48mpg so was really chuffed with this result. You thoughts guys
  17. I dont have major issue with lighting in my monte, seems better then previous cars ive owned. But i guess it depends what you are used too
  18. Well im considering the idea for the monte. But theyd have to have some dry weather preformance tho. Im not kken on the idea of two sets of wheels lol
  19. Its jus a spoiler not anti scrape thing. Altho as said its not overly low so if your concerned you must have some major dip lol
  20. From what a lot of said the real world difference between the 86 and 105 are minimal anyway. I find the 86 has more then enough poke
  21. Ohh sorry its 2002 i mis read NO Only fabia I bumpers 2000 to 2008/9 i think.
  22. Sounds to me the fabia sport which this the standarr set up for
