  1. I've come from a MK2 Monte. Which I feel in love with when I first saw it, it was something different then the typical corsa or Fiesta. The red and black colour scheme worked for me. Having lived with my old one for 4 years and moving in to a MK3 they have just improved it all over in my opinion. My only gripe would be offering 16in wheels as standard ruins it. So I made sure I had he 17s. I like he fact the sports suspension is an option, but also lowered the standard Monte Carlo a tad. As for my the standard suspension on the old version could be a pain on commutes. A bit too stiff and fidgety, the only thing that stop me hating it was it was so much fun to use on twisty roads at the weekend. So in my MK3 I only have Standard suspension, which feels far more refined, from what little of fun I had with mine in only week, it still seems to have enough about it to have fun with. So hopefully best of both worlds, I pretty much agree with everything else you say. Fit and finish in side is a massive step up, ok some rough plastics, but to be expected, but the trim that runs across the dash does well to add something to it, a big improvement on the previous one. The infortainment is great, I suspect mainly people that make the most of Apple Car Play, andriod auto and mirror link wil, get that benefit, having read up on Smartgate, think it would of been a nice extra but I suspect the novelty of it would of run out lol. Styling of the Fabia overall it loads better then the Mk2, but if focusing on just the Monte Carlo versions... I like how much more aggressive the addition Front splitter, rear defuser and roof spoiler look. I'm glad the they done away with the wheel arches and joy I all the body kit together. It means I will actually be able to fit mudflats!!!. The only thing I'm on decided it on, is the roof/a pillar colour. On the MK2 you got a black roof/a pillars...yet they opted against this on the MK3 Monte.... All in after a week really chuffed with it... glad I got another one
  2. What sort if journeys you doing? Town work im getting mid to late 30s on a average 40mile commute (mainly motorway mid to late 40s traffic depending. If i keep the speed below 70 and really tried ive got to 50mpg
  3. Well bluetooth opens the car up to multimuple types of phones rather then restricting to those that focus on Smart Link, android auto and CarPlay. Personlly for i always have my iphone linked via usb as i like to use my phone for music, plus the abilty to use SIRI help read and send Texts on the go.
  4. As above Yeah rears are Tinted as standard.
  5. Guess a lot depends on Brand. I'm not saying it's wrong, it's just not a gaurentee.Really depends how geared up a brand is for certain parts on a recent model. I've had some interesting experiences with Iveco and backordered parts haha and even weirder supersessions!!!
  6. I was same as you brought an already built car with out voice control, like yourself the button is there when pressed I get the same message. IF I plug my IPhone in the USB. I can hold down the voice control button and that activates Siri via Apple car play through the cars radio/speaker & mic system. As wi another user above he gets the same result for His Andriod phone for android auto
  7. Thats an easy asumption to make but not always true.
  8. To be honest given how simple the touch screen/radio is to use, and changine stations and tracks are easily done on the wheel too. Id doubt id use the voice control all too often. That said had i factory ordered the car i may of spec it for £30....
  9. Yes only when using Apple Car play. You hold down as if you would use siri on the phone its self
  10. Its a £30 option on the Options list. I have a monte witha Bolero. The voice control.button on the wheelis useless unless held when Apple Car play is in use for Siri
  11. If in doubt ask the dealer. 14 months asuming theres no outside interferance (i.e no damaged caused by yourself or an object) id imagine the warranty should cover it. Id be suprised if it didnt.
  12. I was the same lol. Again like you my dealer generally is pretty good with only this slight mix on my car. It goes back Thursday for supagaurd.
  13. Mines was in tues I thing at the dealer prepped by sat the only issue was the salesman that ordered has been off ill, which meant I got my car minus the parts I ordered and the supagaurd
  14. If only they used that version on the montes
  15. You can adjust it when you being called using the volume wheel i think
  16. A month was a long wait haha how people wait months and months is beyond me
  17. Haha well yeah. But work with in a commercial dealer and have seen margins on vehicles... so its not hard to imagine a dealer over pricing. So that didnt suprise but it was the difference that stunned me.£85 quid is easy to swollow if you dont need to use it... but £350 leaves a bitter taste. Having read info on both products i think its a no brainer. Just stunned at such a difference.
  18. My Mk2 Fabia Monte had pads at 45-50,000 miles its on 67,000 still on its orignal discs....
  19. The only real difference i see, is the dealers will potenatially cover the full period of PCP deal (42 Months) Chris Knott is for 36 months.... but that doesnt justify the difference in my opinion..
  20. A couple of questions which i cant really find an answer thats helps me fully. GAP insurance on a car on PCP makes sense doesnt? I.e Potentailly i could own the car ahould i decided to pay the ballon at the end of the 3 years or so.... So should the worse happen i.e total loss it could have a negative effect on me finacally (i.e id be resonpsible for any short falls). Now as from my understanding above, i was prepared to get a GAP cover.... untill the dealer told me its the best part of £350.... i found that hard to swollow and turned it down at the point of ordering.... So i thought id do a bit of research and shop around. Thanks to this site i came across Chris Knott ins. Now thats thrown a spanner in the works for me as i done online qoute... and was qouted £85! My question is why the big "Gap".... with out being Rude is their something the dealer offer in that cover Chris Knott cant or dont? Or are dealers seriously hoping people will just sign up with out looking?
  21. Sorry i made an error i ment the 1.9TDI MK1 Fabia VRS was popular.... it seems a shame they did make a version of when making the MK2 fabia.
  22. I could agree more realating to the Fiesta and Fabia. The Fiesta Sport van i had was firm crash. But on a typical day to day drive on A-Roads was the handling difference wasnt big enough to warrant it being a major factor. I think my issue would be had i wanted a preformance model.... its a Shame they opted not to make a MK3 VRS. The 2.0TDI in the Mk 1 seem to be hugely popular.... it amazed me they did try and make a TDI vrs in the MK2 i can only imagine it was an after thought as it didnt appear till the FL,
  23. If everything goes to plan pick up he New Monte Carlo on Saturday... a week late but it will be worth it
