  1. The rear flap on a MK 3 are no different to standard version ..... the issue was on the MK2 where the diffuser and wheel arch trims effected the profile of the area the flaps would be fitted.
  2. Problem with the Monte Carlo MK3 and the MK2 is really you need to cut in to the defuser... really not fond of doing that myself.
  3. Im about 4500 to 5000 miles on the clock, not used any oil yet, my local TPS from my old job happily sent me a FOC Castrol Edge and Bag to go in my boot
  4. Im tempted to go down the black badge route
  5. Well the Mark 2 Fabia was good enough to make me go back for a Mark 3 ...
  6. The originals would of been Silver/Chrome looking
  7. Yh im refering to the brochure for 1.2 TSI 90 with 17in Rims. If i could recreate both cycles im sure it could match them.
  8. As i say i was suggesting you was, but seeing the way some drive etc could fully believe people would try and rely on it.But i think the general education of prospective buyers is a little lacking.
  9. How slow is slow.... as they system should Auto Brake if the vehicle is between 3 & 20MPH.With systems like this i think its important to 1. Be informed, either read the cars Manual or speak to a dealer... but be fully aware of how the system operates and what potenionally could a happen in what situations...this will obviously help if the system is trigger 2. To certain extent forget its there.... it should be relied upon... im not saying those above do.... but i bet you there a number who will think it can depended on. that said i think its a very handy tool espically in motorway traffic! Its all too easy to get sucked in to follow vehicles a little closer than you should (well in my Case) and the display is handy reminder of what gap should be kept.
  10. Well Skoda Claim my Petrol Variant is able to do 60MPG Combined.... i once managed 55 on a commute... so i believe the engine is Capable of the figure claim IF you have the perfect situations... but with my commute being as it is and the traffic on the roads these days to be getting mid to late 40s generally hitting 50s on a good day...lower 40s if im being a little more eager... overall im not to concerned myself...but that said it all depends on the reasons for purchasing a particular car.... My personal opinion... while a the 1.4TDI would defo be the more sensible variant for me... i personally preffer the way the 1.2 petrol in monte i think it suits it better. So MPG really didnt make a massive difference for me. If your buying a car because you looking for Max MPG and its falling well short of its figure then again i can see why youd be disappointed. But my experience with both Fabias would suggest the petrols at least have potential to get close if not meet that figure
  11. I always lookat claimed Figures and take about 10mpg and both my petrol Fabuas have met that expectation. Generally im getting late 30s early 40s with mixed routes and driving, if im more careful i can hit mid 40s.... and on one really challenging commute home managed to get a petrol Fabia to do 55MPG average over a 40mile trip it was hard work
  12. Ive had it trigged for good rason a bike swerving across, it hit the brakes and beeped etc, but inwas already taking avoiding action etc so spooked me slightly. Other times ive had the audible alarm if approching Traffic a little quick than it likes... what does concern me is how little it does so close.... i dont trust it thats for sure
  13. Its hard to say depends on other spec etc... When i brought mine... they had a suitable one just left the production and took 4-5weeks... Obviously if they need to build from scratch longer... A quick discussion with a dealer and should give a rough idea whats in the pipeline.
  14. Well given the that isofix is quick and easy to fit a very secure, i would go with that. The isofix points in the fabia are more accessible then on most cars and quick easier fitted in place because of that
  15. Well we given just a quick presentation. Confirming its purpose, what it was made of, how best to store it. Dont get me wrong its not plesent stuff. When it out side a container in the atmosphere it crystallises (which was the riute some early issues with the tech when saw in use in some applications), not nice stuff to get on yourself or car interior. Whilest not as dangerous petrol, i would treat it in the exact same way as petrol. I.e be very careful and avoid spillage if you do wipe it away asap, would never recomend storing it in your car,
  16. Its a load of Jargon to look good. adblue isnt dangerous... If ylu caperble of filling a car up with petrol, then adblue is simple. Ots trying to justify its expensive pricing
  17. This tech has been in use since about 2007... it still amazes how little is known about it given how its slowly becoming comman place in Cars... I work in the Commercial Vehicles, and this tech has had its problems. Im not sure if the car market is doing the same as. Commercials, but with the new Euro Directives truck brands have taken different approaches. Some like Mercedes and Iveco focused on the Adblue route, while the Likes of MAN/Scania tried to focus on the EGR Route. But as emissions continue to get lower its become clearer manufacteurs are having to try to use EGR and adblue together. A handy to thing to bare for any using adblue... dont think you have to rely on Fuel Pumps and service stations... check the pricing with a local Commercial vehicle dealer. And be careful with Car Dealers ive seen Adblue sood at some shocking pricing!!!
  18. Standard Air Con set up in mine no major issues for me....
  19. Not something I'd agree with... the glass roof feels way more solid then the metal roof I had on my previous Fabia.Whilst I see the logic in that thought... surely it would make sense to limit flex as that would increase risk of cracking. I would say the pillars the surrounding part of the roof are more than sturdy enough to stop the flex. I can defo say I've felt no flex in the Fabia
  20. Well I've already clock up 2000 miles no issues. In theory if there is not sign or of an external cause i.e... the damaged hasn't been occurred by some one or something, which by looks of your post there's no evidence to suggest this. You would have to think it's a warranty issue. I wouldn't expect a car to create a stress crack in a panoramic roof.... that's why they test cars rigously before sale.. The glass seems a very big sturdy bit of kit, so perhaps took a knock in the factory... a few hundred miles and some bumps later a crack appears!!! I would be disappointed if Skoda refused to sort with out some decent reason/evidence that it's not there thoughts. Might be a wise to take pics and make notes too
  21. Not something ive noticed on mine but only a month old at the mo
  22. I wasnt fond of the kenwood units in the fabia II became very clonky in use. But like the fact they used Garmin mapa
