  5. Another very good place is Dub Unit in tamworth. I had a remap done by them £150 very smooth with a nice pull of power throughout the whole rev range! I have a graph to prove how smooth and progressive it is, it's around 165-170 & 300lbs torque. Also The power doesn't die off once you get into high rpm, just keeps going Oh and no smoke what so ever
  6. The discs and pads are less than 6 months old. Ran in 400 miles before hard braking, the disc didn't appear to be warped when I ran the car up without the wheel on. I may take the brakes apart clean them, then put them back in. I took it to a vw specialist and even they couldn't solve the problem
  7. Found a video of the same noise i'm getting, still haven't managed to solve it, the backplates (front disc shields) are off so it's not them either.
  8. Hi, do you have any photos of the car they were on to show height please?
  9. It annoys me, why should you have to buy YOUR OWN car back off them if they write it off, you bought the car in the first place and it's yours not the companies :S you should be able to sell parts off it or scrap it or do whatever with it without having to buy it back
  10. About washers only if they are fitted they should be working
  11. Once I had my xenons in, I went down to the MOT station, he aligned them and said they will pass an MOT no problem. I went for 4300k bulbs which are OEM, white light beam and if you shine them against a white wall they give a blue/purple surrounding at the top. They are legal, and as long as they are aligned correctly you will not get stopped for them.
  12. On that thread link given above, you could always start another group name list, then use that to put forward to wingmirrorman
  13. I have xtec C5W LEDs through eBay HIDS Direct. They are £15 for a pair, but they are VERY good quality, and very bright. You definitely get what you pay for with these
  14. Ring Phillip and see if you can go through the group buy which would be this one: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/288313-group-buy-on-depo-oem-style-xenon-projector-headlamps/page-4#entry3532141 May be still open and if so they should be only around £180 inc delivery! Ollie
  15. Harry - Ok I will look at replacing the pads and see what happens bazmcc - Yeah copper greased before going in (on the ends)
  16. Hi Harry, did you just change the pads? It's weird it sounds like a bush creeking and only when braking lightly
  17. Sorry forgot to say the noise is coming from front and sounds like it's on the drivers side
  18. Hi guys, I have a really annoying creek and high pitched squeeking noise when driving and it's intermittent on rotation. Anyone know what this could be? Cheers, Ollie
  19. Subaru impreza STI 330 2008-2010 plate or Evo 8 will be my decider after the fabia
  20. I'm after 3 tickets if anyone has any spare please, many thanks
  21. I do recommend elephant insurance if people are struggling to get a reasonable insurance quotes. They seem to be very good, reputable, and VERY COMPETITIVE. My insurance was up for renewal today which was £657 for the renewal 4th year driving (no claims). However my excess seemed to be quite high, got that changed over to 250 excess which took it up to £722 a year. I had actually found a cheaper insurance quote else where, so i was not happy with that price, for which i told them. As it's my 3rd year with them, they looked into getting that price down for me by changing a coupe of things and gave me a loyalty discount. The final premium for the year has now come out to £633 a year @ 21 years old which i'm pretty happy with.
  22. Hi all, I have some 4300k d2s bulbs I got off hids4u for £14. However the light output distance when driving down a dark road is really poor. Just wondering if anyone else is finding the same problem or if you're getting a nice long distance beam, what bulbs are you using? I've had a look at other quality like Phillips but your looking at £50-60. Cheers, Ollie
  23. Interesting figures from everyone quite up and down, I guess like you said the area does change cost of insurance, but hopefully not only will it help me but also help others to have an idea on what they are paying
