  1. I do own one - so are allowed to say it’s shtty Your original post was a bit ambiguous as it read like boost pipes was just the next job on your list of things to change.
  2. Why did you need to free up space? Other that that was there any other reason? I cant think of any. People like Porsche etc will use the back for weight distribution.... but this is a shtty little Fabia.
  3. Sorry... but what is this mod in simple terms?
  4. Its the bottom left where it rubs ever so slightly......
  5. It all looks spot on to be fair. But then I dont know what it looked like brand new. I will take a picture in a bit so you can see if there is something obvious.
  6. Is it possible to move the rear lights up a few mm, or are they totally fixed? Mine ever so slightly touches the bumper. Thanks
  7. I'd save your money and stick to standard. The car is findamentally floored in terms of handling. Accept it for what it is and adjust your driving style.
  8. I;ve not even read all the posts but the product sounds like pointless snake oil. Think about Shell…. This company makes BILLIONS of pounds profit. Their R&D budget is not only mega, it’s also used to offset tax so the money going into research doenst bare thinking about. Do you honestly think some random company could do anything that shell couldn’t if they thought it had any benefit? Shell spend more on R&D in 1 hours than this company will in its lifetime.
  9. I would say the dampers are worn and out of tollerance at about 50k 100k no way - they will be toatlly fkd at that. Springs I think are more on or off. They seem to either snap or be ok.
  10. You said it doesnt get beteter with AC on - but now it does get better with AC on? If it does and its a BLT then its probably that lean burn thing it does at idle and its then some how getting aplified. Mine judders a bit too when stationary but everything I found about it, is that its normal for that engine.
  11. Its a unit. Its really really really easy to swap. You buy one from ECP (a BOSCH one) for something like £70 - take yours off and swap it over (5 mins job with basic tools). Take your old one back and they give you a £30 refund. Prices are made up - but its roughly that. Use the discount code PARTS25 and pick it up from your nearest store.
  12. Problem with a MAF is they dont always throw an error, but can be out of spec. Especially on these old cars that dont have very advanced logging etc For the sake of £40 or whetever it is I would just go get a new one - it will fail at some point anyway.
  13. You have kind of answered your own question? "I was expecting the almighty whoosh hiss I get on my car signifying a boost leak but got a very silent one and a hell of a lot more power and less of a spongey feeling throttle."
  14. Just get a new MAF from ECP - they are not that expensive, especially with the 25% off they always run online. Its the first place to start.
  15. I once had it in a 105 BHP Octavia on the motorway at 80 MPH going up a hill and it was due to diesel on the road. If it was twice on th esame road them maybe the same thing? If it was different roads then it must be an actual fault. Or maybe you have some super sht tyres and it is actually having a couple of turns of spin when it hits peak boost. They would have to be mega sht though!
  16. Not a fan of anything other than standard. But out of them two, the gold ones by far.
  17. Wait on... when you said 250 did you mean the car has 250 BHP or you have £250 to spend? I was working on 250 BHP If its money then just get standard Pagid disks and pads from ECP with a 25% discount code and the lot will come to under £100
  18. Standard Pagid disks from ECP - Ferodo DS2500 pads from somewhere like motorsport world.
  19. Don't waste your money. Save it for a rainy day. If the rainy day doesn tcome before you decide to buy a new car, then you can put that towards the new car.
  20. Claying is worth it if you have a load of little deposits on the paint. If the car has not been done for a few years (or never) then it would benefit. When people talk about mopping they usually mean with a machine polisher at a bodyshop or something. And yes, SRP has a red square on the front.
  21. Collinite pretty much always leaves residual solvents on the paint in my expecriance. You can wipe them off.... but why should you have to. It also never lasts anywhere near 3 months on a car thats used daily. The autoglym wax is trouble free - you cant go wrong with it. No need for any sealents, its pointless. Super resin polish is also a bit of a sealent in its own right so if your that fussed its already done. Also its called a wax, but like all of them anyway its a man made synthetic, so had all the modern technology etc The autoglym wax is also designed to go perfeclty on top of other autoglym products. Seriously... you cant go wrong with that combination. I have spent many MANY hundereds of pounds of differnet products over the years and for hand application this combo is unbeatable.
  22. Autoglym Super Resin Polish Apply, leave 30 mins and wipe off with a microfiber cloth. It only needs a thin layer, dont go silly or its harder to get off. You could buy a wax to then go on top, if so the Autoglym HD wax is VERY good and better than nearly every wax regardless of price. Again, apply thinly then wipe off after about 30 mins. Re-apply the wax every 3/4 weeks, or everyday if you really wanted.
