  1. i recon you should get in and about the fuse box mate, have a goooooood look at all the fuses see if any are out failing that try the wires leading to the needle lift sensor (its in injector 3 the tall one) also clean the intake manifold and check any wiring there
  2. Sometimes the wiring leading to the mao sensor gets chaffed. its worth checking that as its a common issue. also try disconnecting the maf sensor and see if it improves.
  3. thats permanent limp not one that comes in at high revs so i would have not bothered with the mr muscle. It needs a scan to tell you whats up with it. get that done and you should be a step closer
  4. Aye ive seen this product crop up once or twice, and seen theyre conduct via other boards, they seem rather sensitive and somewhat aggressive in theyre marketing. I always steer clear of 'attack' companies, it seems that theyre product is so mediocre that they feel the need to discredit others, its just fear that people will realise there is better out there! And tbh - it appears there is ^^^^^ As posted above
  5. Diesel Rhino ingredients: 2-ETHYLHEXYL NITRATE 40-50% 2-BUTOXYETHANOL 40-50% A MIXTURE OF ISOMERS OF: C7-C9 ALKYL 3-(3,5-DI-TRANS-BUTYL-4-HYDROXYPHENYL)PROPIONATE 1-10% NONYLPHENOL 1-10% ALKYL AMINES, MONOHEXYL AND DIHEXYL PHOSPHATES 1-10%
  6. Plus i now get steam from the exhaust in the morning, instead of grey smoke on acceleration (light steam, not coolant steam haha) emissions dropping means that as same fuel goes in, more of it is getting burnt during combustion, surely this has to equate to more power and or cleaner chamber.
  7. No it is more expensive, but there was an element of did millers wirk/didnt it work. this stuff WORKS! Its £22 delivered and 70 for 2.5litres but goes further after initial cycle.. as regards any placebo - i noticed my car was at running tep very quickly, before i knew it was a benefit. i didnt read the claims as i didnt want to allow myself to be drawn in. but yhe winter benefiys on mpg, wear and tear, and heat from the blowers is fantastic.
  8. Well the pd engine really does like this stuff. know of a few other tdi owners that swear by it.
  9. Pretty much nothing i can say other than my findings. apart from to try it . thats the only proof really
  10. mr muscle still doing his thing man, this stuff does help stop recurrence though
  11. over 1350 miles actually.and yes it is controlled in that its my work car and i have pretty mich an identical work load from month to month. Sorry i dont have a lab for you, and sorry you feel that way as your going to miss out. i wouldnt spend 70 on the biggie if it was at all snake oil ;-)
  12. Fuel additives get a hard time on here and not least of the skeptics is me. So i decided to try it as recommendedand once completed asses the benefits. Used alot of additives and found most ineffective, millers worked for me though. However this is in a different league. emissions dropped from mot at 0.40, after 0.20 on same machine. Smoke noticably less. Morning starting is far quicker, and idling is smoother. mpg under same working environment has increased by 4-5 mpg the most surprising effect is that the engine reaches running temp in a much shorter period of time. its a documented effect and i have to say is profoundly noticable. Im away to order the big container as this has surprised me greatly. as i say these test i have done have been to the best of my ability kept accurate and the variables under control as best as poss. Go get some, Seriously
  13. Maybe a sticky stop solenoid on the pump perhaps

  15. Poly top mounts squeak and creak for alot of folk. moly lithium grease helps, or cv grease in lay terms
  16. On mine yes. on another i fitted for some reason a wee washer was needed. deoends on qulity of the bush i think. Never had a noise off mine bowders, with a 5mm gap
  17. top plate just stops the strut falling out when airborn, no need to have it tight down to the metal, just close. i just put a few washers in mine or use a bigger nut to space it, the top plates dont take any stress when on the ground, the bush should be tight all around in the turret
  18. If your struggling for cash a couple lemforder tt bushes for wishbone does one heck of alot. Re polo mounts, the ones i got were akmost solid, mainly metal inside under the rubber, maybe they toughened them
  19. Polo top mounts are good for a couple o years in a tdi, just keep a casual eye out, as you would for any componant. What makes you so heavy on top mounts bowders? Haha- been piling on the pounds?
  20. Yeah just use originals unless your pedantic. as regards torque settings i usually pull until i go oooof, then its set.
  21. cheers man aye i keep nipping home from work to see him. already have a 6 year old, were the hell did that time go
