  1. I got one with my vrs. I was sceptical but it's brilliant.
  2. Stance has improved massively. Good job.
  3. Currently, a 5 year old 24" iMac. My iPad or SGSII for when I'm mobile. IMO the best combination of desktop, tablet and phone available. I also have a Dell netbook that is seldom used and a Macbook I gave to my Mum.
  4. The grille and the wheels have been painted. These weren't options from Skoda. Easy enough to do, mind.
  5. I have for sale four genuine Skoda Fabia II steel wheels for sale. All still boxed, never been out the packaging. I bought these (foolishly) back when I was waiting for my Fabia to be built. 8 months from the day of ordering and still no build date, I gave up and bought a 6 month old Octavia (see sig). The money from this sale will go towards buying winter wheels for the Octy instead. These cost £151.12 from SkodaParts plus £20 delivery. Reduced to £80 Collection from Wallington in Surrey. Cheers, James.
  6. The 'switch' is normally just spliced into the reversing bulb.
  7. In the pic above, under the blue 15s is a red 10. The empty slot to the left of that one is a switched live.
  8. DTM: I've not installed on a Skoda before but did so on my old e46. a. Make sure you have the right variant. PAL or NTSC. b. Location will entirely depend on the type of camera. If it's bullet style then, in line with Parking Sensors would make sense; If it has a mounting bracket or "wings" then under the boot's grab handle would probably work best.
  9. I think anthracite will look smarter... and I'm toying with the idea myself. However, red and black just works. If further down the line you'll be considering tints, perhaps vinyl mirrors, roof etc then go for black. Easier to match.
  10. Nice job. Can I also throw into the ring... White top part of grille, black lower part, and a black roof.
  11. Hardwired my Novus Rider to a switched live yesterday using a piggyback. Can't remember the exact slot number but it was a spare one, left as you look at it, next to a red 10! There's a T20 screw at the bottom of the fuse box that you can use for an earth.
  12. Re-order and insist on a courtesy car for the meantime. I had an identical thing on a Smart car a few years ago... A smaller job admittedly!... But they retrimmed the seats at their cost. Actually ended up with a much better job!
  13. Hi, apologies for the thread-revival, but does anyone have any info on retrofitting the larger reservoir & sensor to a fl octy, please? Thanks.
  14. I've not had them on the Octavia, but I'm a big fan of the Goodyear Eagle Asymetrics.
  15. Sorry guys. Longish story... Short version: fitted the Pioneer avic f940bt. Really good unit, everything works as it should but no satnav on the maxidot. PDC and AC still display. MFSW works well. Now have bluetooth and satnav. Will add a RVC in time too. Guess had I fitted a Columbus, it would need coding to work. This being a Pioneer unit using Navteq, I can't see how it would work. I'm very happy though. I haven't lost anything and not sure how much it would add to have it anyway.
  16. Another shout for SRP + Collinite here.
  17. No thank you, dude. For the sake of a few quid, the Bolero is a really nice unit. I'm gonna keep it as back up!
  18. Ignore. No longer for sale. Oddly though, my car (61) seems to have a pre-2007 shape radio/fascia.... Bizarre. If anyone knows why, I'd be very grateful to find out! Ended up with a Pioneer f940bt instead. It's generic, so I'll keep the Bolero to replace come sale time. Cheers.
  19. NO LONGER FOR SALE. Have ended up with a generic Pioneer unit that is transferable, so will be keeping the Bolero to stick back in come sale time. Cheers.
  20. I bought an identical car a few days ago... 61 plate, ex-demo, vrs dsg estate, race blue, 5k. Paid £17.5k. edit: optionswise - spare, PDC front & rear, MFSW.
