  1. I'm not even going to answer that!! I have tried twisting, jiggling, waggling and pulling but it just seems to want to stay there. Thought this would be one of my easier mods:eek:
  2. It's still not coming off:( Would rather not have to take a hammer to it:eek:
  3. I have just got myself a polo rear wiper but I can't get the old one off. I have soaked it with wd-40 but it still won't budge. Is it supposed to lift straight off or does it need twisting?
  4. On a silver car I would say remove them (purely for the look), obviously running the risk of dents. No point doing it on my car as it's black so wouldn't really show the benefits. I have also got 2 small dents on my rear passenger door which are on the top door crease, question is, how many more would I have if the strips hadn't been there?
  5. Any more news on these yet coz I REALLY want the black ones!!
  6. This crash happened at the Epynt military ranges (my favourite local rally spot)http://www.tuningvideo.com/Video_Pagina_dedicata.php/name_file=6R4%20Rollover
  7. I agree entirely, was trying my hardest not to smile like Tom said I would but had to give in!!! Mine's been on for a few weeks now and I have GOT to stop cornering so fast:eek:
  8. Welcome to the slope! I swapped my Clio for a vRS and still think the car is amazing, having owned it since last January. I also recently used a clay bar and ultra deep shine and it's brought it up really nice. Would like to see some pics of the side strips removed as I can't make my mind up.
  9. That is awesome!! And how tricky are those bridges too!!
  10. Another tip that I have heard is for anyone with coilover suspension, I don't have it though so can't say how effective it is. If you raise the rear suspension and lower the front it actually forces the front tyres into the road thus creating more traction.
  11. I bought one of those genuine sheepskin mitts from Halfrauds aswell (the dark grey one). Have to say I wasn't impressed at all, it doesn't seem to produce any foam. Not good for
  12. Do you know what sort of power increase it gives? I am very interested!! p.s Does it come with instructions?
  13. That's right, the car was lowered on Eibach springs about six months ago and the bump stops weren't trimmed as I presume the garage didn't know of the need to. The reason I was just going to trim the rear ones is that in rsbspt's thread he only trimmed 10 mm off the front ones but 30 mm off the rears. This made me think that maybe it would make enough of a difference to just do the rears and it is a relatively simple job. Thought that if it didn't make enough of a difference then it would at least save me some labour charge if I needed to take it to a garage to get the fronts done aswell.
  14. Bugger:mad: I was all set to go. What is the reason for this Ross?
  15. Can't find any sizes but I think I'll just give it a go, so in your oppinion it's worth just doing the back ones then?
  16. Thanks VRStu:thumbup: Don't suppose you remember what size nuts they are do you? Don't want to find that I don't have the right spanners, sorry to be a pain.
  17. Is it possible/ worthwhile to just trim the rear ones? I seem to remember someone saying in a thread that they didn't need to do all four. Also, how easy is it to do yourself? I recently fitted the ARB and noticed that once the bolt is undone at the bottom of the damper it just eases down gently, so therefore is it just a case of undoing the bolts on the top strut (no need for wheel removal or jacking)? I tried looking at this thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/fabia/eibach-springs-how-improve-ride/32720/?highlight=bump+stops but for some reason I can't get the instruction pages to open. I have bought some Araldite Rapid ready for the job. Also, does the car need to be re-aligned afterwards? Thanks in advance
