  1. Another V6 here (I thought they were supposed to be rare )
  2. For £700 (even less once you haggle) you don't have anything to loose. Even if it fails come MOT, you can scrap it and get nearly half your money back
  3. "Buy now, think later" "Its easier to ask forgiveness than permission." It doesn't sound like you've much to loose if you know the history of it
  4. I depends how anal ( lol ) you are. If you want it looking really nice, you'll be dismantling it all and cleaning items individually. If you just want it looking half decent, you can jet wash/steam clean it. You want to wrap plastic bags around all the electrics
  5. I'm expecting the only thing the S2000 and the fabia 3 will have in common is that it comes in white, red and green (though not on 1 car)
  6. No offence intended, I've got various 60s, 70s and 80s cars (although most of them are fibreglass) All have water in them bar one because its in my garage getting a full restoration due to it being off the road since 1980
  7. Nah, it would've just run out the rust holes in the floor
  8. Well that is awful. H doesn't review the car, he just says his audience isn't interested in cars
  9. NOOOOOOOOOOO don't do it. I don't get why anyone would put those horrid things on their cars
  10. I very much doubt it. They'll keep the new engines for the new cars and the old engines for the old cars (the superb facelift doesn't count as new )
  11. Sounds interesting. What are you actually going to use it for?? It'll need wireless connection (or wired
  12. [sarcasm/] Wow, yet another thread on a forum that's turned into the argument of Apple v The World. Didn't see that coming... [sarcasm/]
  13. Start the furthest away from the MC and work towards it (ie NSR, OSR, NSF, OSF)
  14. Yes, galv. That won't last forever though. Waxoyl type stuff is the best thing to use providing there's no dirt or water between it and the metal, which of course there won't be as the car is new Good job
  15. Whoops, I read the first bit of the title VERY wrong
  16. Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it! Had a Type-R and always regretted selling
  17. Could be a duff battery or the alternator isn't great. Do you have a multi meter? If you put it across the battery terminals with the car off, it should read over 12.5V if its any good. To test the alternator, start the engine and put the multimeter across the battery terminals and it should read above 14V
  18. I give you http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_108/Category_1/4463 No suprise its out of stock. Video here
  19. Just looked at a thread in the Fabia section and found a vRS with 19" wheels. I've only seen them on motorshow cars or in adverts. 2nd pic here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/286406-my-car-is-in-monte-carlooooo-first-car/
  20. Yep, agreed. If I had a choice of colour, I'd shave gone for Amethyst and ivory. Looks brilliant
  21. Robert Eardley - Race Blue petrol manual estate with black pack
  22. Heat shouldn't be too much of an issue. The exhaust gasses loose most of their heat at the front of the exhaust so they are relatively cold by the time they come into contact with the tips. Ye, try the collinite
  23. Metal polish and wire wool. Peek is a good polish For protection, I'd try an alloy wheel sealer
  24. It'll be down to what rpm it produces the torque if torque is the same but power is different. The calculation for power is [(torque x the rpm at which it is produced) / 5252] = power. Hence why diesels have good torque but low power
