  1. Reading some of the argumentative comments/replys in some of the posts, i was wondering why people who dont own skodas come on here, some then sem to just cause problems/arguments, or have derogatory comments at the bottom of their posts in quotes, seems a bit strange to me, if you dont like skodas why not go on a site of cars you like.
  2. sorry mate got it from burnley car audio, but seen it on kenwoods website and look for accessories its def on its a wire/box\ipod plug thing, it makes the stereo think the ipod is a cd changer, also keeps ipod charged
  3. Now then i have spent many an hour driving 1 the previous 320 d 2 mondeo tdci both as rapid response cars, no w i have no idea about any other bmw just the above and we got rid of them as the driving position was to offset causing terrible backache after a 12hr shift( i was very suprised with bmw here),driving it though very good loved the rwd layout. mondeo worst car i have ever driven, ride atrocious, build quality substandard, engine lasted 6 months(okay driven hard) id never spend my money on one. we now have a volvo v50 diesel(based on focus platform)....really nice drive, driving position/seat the best for your back no probs being in it for 12 hrs. like i say honest review from experience even though strictly limited, btw drivers more aggressive to us in bmw untill saw it was a rapid response car,but out the 3 best drive just shame u couldnt walk after/or move ur back lol oh better add fab vRS an excellent car that does what it says on the tin.
  4. sorry confused havnt got a clue if im workin thought it was this weekend......ill let u know
  5. no mate be doing 160 down m65 on emergencies lol sorry no working on nites all weekend where abouts you from?
  6. Cheers mate like i say i can see why it has bugged you and if it had of been me prob would have been banned/lost job dont have same protection it seems as police. now we come to a bit of a conclusion ill forgive your obvious poor taste and give you directions to a better football team..............from wanderers onto m61-m65 to turf moor, lol now dont show your jealousy and become all cheeky talkin rubbish about premiership etc hahahaha look after yourself
  7. Now let me just say i have no idea and heard nothing of this incident until saw it on here, ok a couple of points 1 70 mph in a 30 zone ie a built up populated area is excessive beyond all reason no matter our increased driving skill or even seb loeb. 2 im not sure where the policeman did 159 mph but on a clear motorway fully alert with a massive distance for forward vision and a damn good reason for attaining that speed i could maybe understand it(as long as the said driver had no red mist-see roadcraft the police/emg services driver handbook for reference-) 3 everybody will make a mistake and at 159 mph i would not like it to be me, i made a booboo some months ago and as with every accident it was driver error to much speed for the conditions-luckily i was the only driver on the road. so no matter the training we have had none of us are infallable. 4 i understand all your comments about 1 law for police/even all emg services and 1 for everyone else, but sometimes we need to exceed the limit, as a paramedic we drive under emg conditions more than any other service inc police, i would like to ask other road users on here if an amb is coming up behind you please just pull over as soon as safe and stop(its a tranny van not a ferrari lol) the amount of vehicles we come up behind who a,stop next to a traffic island b, 2 cars stop opposite each other( we dont want to go 3 abreast) 3,stop on a bend, brow of a hill, causing the potetial for an accident to sig increase, then when we wont overtake coz of one of the above or other reasons i have had people swear/gesticulate at me.....there is enough stress on these drives as it is. i hope i have given u an insight into emg driving and shown you that most emg services drivers have some professional pride in thier driving/all aspects of work, i do believe if i had the full story of the said driver i would wholeheartedly agree that the speed was excessive, but i dont so will reserve judgement. One more thing i know i am going on SEATBELTS are not for decoration and i really do hate scraping people off the road, and children may well be quieter when climbing all over the rear parcel shelf but if u had just bought a £1000 stereo and had it on the back seat u would restrain it with a seatbelt please if u see a car with a child climbing all over or baby sat on mums knee open your window and ask them if they would restrain the stereo as it does my head in and when you pick up family after their child as gone through the window they want sympathy even though they never bothered putting a seatbelt round them(by the way i do sympathise as it is my job) thanks for reading
  8. also is ur road angel a speed camera detector???????? why would u require one if speeding is the devils work?(only kidding about) i think personally going fast is not the crime its made out to b just inappropriate speed is.
  9. Can i just ask, if u were being robbed/attacked and he was responding and took him 10 min instead of 5 min too get there in which time the person had got away what would u think then? bllody police never get there in time prob.if he was on a quite open dual carriageway/motorway clear of traffic using the system of car control in a suitable vehicle what is the problem, its not just the police we ourselves cant win if we go fast we can be prosecuted if we go slow people blame us for a worsening or worse state of a relative, i think if it was u or a family member who require the service of the said police man u may think differently. please respond if u dont agree i am happy to hear all sides of an argument.........we drive completely differently to the normal road user...u wouldnt believe how tired u r after even a 10 min emergency drive due to high levels of concentration and having to take into account the very poor standards of other drivers on the road.................we all make mistakes though i regard my self as a half decent driver....not brilliant, and i realise that even driving to the shop i make a mistake or 2 nobody is a perfect driver.
  10. got a nano 2gig, btw i also have relaced standard head unit in the furby with a kenwood so recently got officail kenwood hard wire fitted now ipod goes out of way in glovebox and all tracks/playlist controled from head unit therefore no cd changing, no lookin at ipod to see what i want next....if u have a new head unit that can connect to a cd changer see if u can get your ipod hard wired in it is fantastic
  11. i just had a 30000 mile service at simpsons in colne(same service as u i am pretty sure oil etc) and cost 94 quid, so yes seems a bit steep

  13. festival of speed was the best yet!!! but skoda wrc were the only representive of the mark and had no interest in the fans....... example of this we chatted to fords rally arm, the staff were happy to chat and answer questions we had, i even got a little lad a chance to sit in the drivers seat of gronholms winning car(which meant i got a try in the driving seat too.....must try too get a smaller *** lol),i had to keep walkin up the hill each day to see if the skoda team were in(which was rare) they had no interest in chatting, i had to embaress them into giving a little lad an autograph( he had been waiting for ages quietly about an hour and he was the only one there) how do they expect support if this is their attitude. by the way if u get chance go it is an amazing event, ps also saw loads of furby vRS there 1 in particular black private reg ending in vrs briskoda in back window

  17. hi all, just wondering if anybody has the same problem, my 53 plate furby vRS (red) paint is fading in just one spot, just under the drivers door on the sill, it is about 4 inch long and the whole height of the sill, now i had autoglym protection put on it, also i clean the car reg i.e weekly, and give it a good coat of wax at least every 2 months, im taking it in too skoda this week
  18. yes ......the clarets.......i can feel your envy johnwg lol
  19. fantastic show, 1 hr of entertainment!!!!!! what more is there too say apart from if you dont like it dont watch it
  20. honest answer for u mate....... furby vRS ingear acceleration fantastic nice burning off bigger cars, i love the build quality of mine, fuel economy even raggin it, looks grow on u, everyhing really is better than the focus (very common lol) but the handling on ur focs is far better than the furby(i used too have a focus), but i prefer the furby by a mile.... plus gives idiots something too give u stick about and make themselves feel better that they drive the same as everybody else. i only took one for a test drive coz they were always raved about in the motoring press and not looked back since. hope this has helped
  21. tag professional use it for work too, pain in the **** to get the blood and guts off though
  22. i found just putting 2 tankfuls of bp ultimate diesel through y furby vRS then gone back too esso fuel economy has gone up by 5-8 mpg
