  3. Hi guys Have just fitted a bluetooth module to my 2008 vrs tdi and have the following problem. Module is 3c8035730c from car systems I've plugged it all in and checked the 77 in vcds to activate it but the phone button on the columbus shows SOS and no user allocated. The bluetooth is greyed out in the media section. The maxidot has a phone on the menu but when selected it blinks and goes back to the main menu, so unable to pair phone or get to any phone settings. Has anybody had this or can help?
  4. When I did the update the nav said my loc was in Germany but after a few mins reset to my location Haven't noticed any other problems but as I said the old firmware was extremely slow To input a postcode it was press letter wait a few secs press letter wait again etc sometimes upto a min just to input a postcode Now it's immediate Also the startup took a few mins before now it's under a min
  5. Speed of burning disc I have read makes a difference(although my comp didn't give me speed option) I use windows 8 Downloaded file from above site (ISO) And then from downloaded section right clicked file and select burn disc I also used a cd( good quality ) Make sure you tick verify file on burn screen
  6. Yep upgraded to facelift climate control, the old style with the two small LCD displays won't work with the columbus also about to fit Bluetooth and mid system to stereo Was lucky mine is an 08 car with one fan for heater as the ones with two fans have problems Did try a bolero in it but couldn't get it to work with the climate or the maxi dot
  7. richiecee yes mine does display on the maxidot ( navigation and radio settings ) and the climate control displays on the radio. the only thing that doesn't is the rear parking sensors but will have to upgrade the control box for that looks like you have the V10 maps as well I did the coding myself ( as I have VCDS ) following guides off the net

  10. on my 08 reg the light units through up a bulb warning so I added the extra resistor and its working as normal
  11. have the litec led lights for my vrs hatch I got them from frank at orange tuning ( if you want to pay by paypal email him or order off website for other ways of paying) Had to add the supplied extra resistor and soldered it rather than using connectors (to avoid canbus bulb error) They work fine and look good.
  12. I had a large blister on my spoiler last year didn't even bother with Skoda as out of warrenty and paint is only covered for rust so went to an independent who i must say was surprised to see it and claimed he had never seen anything like it. When i dropped the car off he managed to cut the lifted clear coat ( approx. patch 3x4 inches ) and we examined it only to find a small hole with a mark in the paint where the hole was. best guess was a small stone managed to hit the spoiler and water got under the clear coat managing to spread out when the cars at speed. The hole couldn't be seen whilst on the spoiler but with light behind showed up. repair cost was £120 for a total spoiler respray
  13. the way ive read this is that you bought a 10 month old car and noticed a few defects upon collection. now as some have said its a second hand car and will have a few stone chips etc for its age but as skoda state on their website ŠKODA APPROVED multi-point vehicle inspection check Just so you know your used ŠKODA is in good shape, our fully qualified technicians will give it a comprehensive workshop check before it’s delivered to you. this to me means the car will be clean and in a roadworthy condition before collection. if your not happy or satisfied how the car was, then phone skoda cs and explain your disappointment at the way your car was presented ( even if they have replace / fixed the faults their attitude may not be up to group standards ) as for the dealer find a good one I drive past one dealer ( had a bad experience with ) to get to one where I get the level of service expected in todays world.
