  1. From the (f) manual, it appears that diesel engines use the same oil regardless of service regime, while it differs for petrol engines. Specifications and capacity (in l) for vehicles with flexible service intervals Petrol engines Specification Filling level 1.4 ltr./92 kW TSI - EU5 VW 504 00 3.6 1.8 l/118 kW TSI - EU5 1.8 l/112 kW TSI - EU5/EU4/EU2/(BS4) VW 504 00 4.6 2.0 l/147 kW TSI - EU5 VW 504 00 4.6 3.6 ltr./191 kW FSI - EU5/EU2/(BS4) VW 504 00 5.5 Diesel engines Specification Filling level 1.6 ltr./77 kW TDI CR - EU5 VW 507 00 4.3 2.0 ltr./103 kW TDI CR DPF - EU5 VW 507 00 4.3 2.0 ltr./103 kW TDI CR - EU5/EU4/BS4 VW 507 00 4.0 2.0 ltr./125 kW TDI CR DPF - EU5 VW 507 00 4.3 Specifications and capacity (in l) for vehicles with fixed service intervals Petrol engines Specification Filling level 1.4 ltr./92 kW TSI - EU5 VW 502 00 3.6 1.8 l/118 kW TSI - EU5 1.8 l/112 kW TSI - EU5/EU4/EU2/(BS4) VW 502 00 4.6 Petrol engines Specification Filling level 2.0 l/147 kW TSI - EU5 VW 502 00 4.6 3.6 ltr./191 kW FSI - EU5/EU2/(BS4) VW 502 00 5.5 If the oils specified above are not available, oils according to ACEA A2 or ACEA A3 can be used once for refilling. Diesel engines Specification Filling level 1.6 ltr./77 kW TDI CR - EU5 VW 507 00 4.3 2.0 ltr./103 kW TDI CR DPF - EU5 VW 507 00 4.3 2.0 ltr./103 kW TDI CR - EU5/EU4/BS4 VW 507 00 4.0 2.0 ltr./125 kW TDI CR DPF - EU5 VW 507 00 4.3 If the oils specified above are not available, oils according to ACEA B3 or ACEA B4 can be used once for refilling. That seems to have lost the formatting, but basically it says that petrol engines use VW 502 00 on a fixed service routine, and VW 504 00 on flexible; diesel engines use VW 507 00 on both.
  2. Xenons, rain sensor, and heated front seats are only standard on Elegance and upwards. Front parking sensors are an option on everything.
  3. I'm guessing the name Camberley_Chris might contain a clue!
  4. Interesting that they still show the Ivory interior with Ivory carpets and door pillars; I thought they were discontinued.
  5. Maybe the first asterisk refers to the MOT only, and that is only for vehicles 3 years or older. That would mean that the prices apply to all cars irrespective of age - but I agree, it's sloppy proof-reading.
  6. I believe there's a setting in Maxidot for turning them on and off.
  7. No. If, as you say, the base price is £15,050, then that becomes the new retail price of the new car. Subtract the value of your px, and that becomes £12,550. The statement about VAT applying to the reduced price simply means that the invoice has to show VAT at 20%, so the invoice value will show a VAT amount, but the total of base price + VAT less px will still be £12,550. Speak to a dealer; they should be able to give you a quote.
  8. According to the website, there is 0% VAT on Superb S diesel Hatch, but not Estate, and no finance deal on the S. 0% VAT model inclusions: Fabia S, SE (SE 1.2 12V 69PS not included), SE Plus, Monte Carlo, GreenLine II, Elegance and Scout. Roomster S, SE (SE 1.2 MPI 12V 69PS and SE 1.2 TSI 86PS not included), SE Plus, GreenLine II and Scout. Octavia S, SE, SE Plus, vRS, vRS Blackline, GreenLine II, Elegance and L & K. Superb Hatch S, SE, SE Plus and Elegance (including L & K). Superb Estate S, SE, SE Plus and Elegance (including L & K) petrol models only. 0% APR representative model inclusions: Fabia Elegance and Scout. Roomster Scout. Octavia Elegance and L & K. Superb Hatch Elegance (including L & K). Superb Estate Elegance (including L & K) petrol models only.
  9. I think Auto only affects the distribution and fan speed; it will still control the temperature, even if it's switched off. From the manual: "Automatic mode is switched off by pressing one of the buttons for the air distribution or by increasing/decreasing the blower speed. The temperature is nevertheless regulated." So if you've set the temperature to 21, and the car is warmer, it will blow cold air.
  10. What else do you want? If the temperature in the car is below the one you have chosen, it will blow hot air to reach it; if it's above that, it will blow cold air to cool it down. is it the volume of hot/cold air that's the problem? Have you tried adjusting the fan speed?

  20. Open small boot lid › Press on the handle at the bottom side of the boot lid and the boot lid lifts up automatically. Close small boot lid › Pull down the boot lid and close it with a slight swing. The bonnet locks automatically. The small boot lid can also be opened by pressing the button on the remote control key for approx. 1 second. A handle which makes the closing easier is located on the inner panelling of the boot lid. The large boot lid can be opened after unlocking the vehicle. Open large boot lid › Press the handle on the bottom edge of the boot lid. › Wait until the brake light in the rear window flashes twice. › Press the handle and simultaneously lift up the boot lid.
  21. Storm Blue has only just come back. It was originally planned for week 7, then week 10, and then week 14, so I think the factory had some problems with it. It was an additional colour added during MY12, so there's probably not going to be an immediate similar replacement.
