Just don't take anyone to watch :p I don't. It's nice to get away from the wife and kids for a few hours!

I've done 5 tough mudders. Heard stories about the rat race about a lot of waiting around at obstacles. Too many queues. Tough mudder maybe the most expensive, but it is definitely the best one and certainly the best run event.

Not driving, but getting wet from the car as putting the kids in the back. The joys of having a nicely polished and waxed car. The water just runs off in the mornings. Grr.

I understand about the doctors, but what about the nurses as well? The nurses are front line and do much much more. They aren't allowed to strike.

I just noticed this. Originally had click and collect, time to reorder for delivery!

I have been told these need replacing. Eurocarparts have 20% off today. Any recommendations on which ones to purchase?

What did you do to your Skoda today pt2
Sippo replied to chrisgreen's topic in General Automotive Chat
Gave it a good 3 hour clean, polish and wax. Black is definitely the best colour when clean! -
Do we think these are legit Heko wind deflectors? Seem quite cheap? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DSK28317-SKODA-Octavia-2-mk2-2004-2012-4-5D-WIND-DEFLECTORS-4pcs-set-HEKO-TINTED-/271032586778

Very cheap but would be weary of 'Not Mechanically checked or Inspected'. Probably nothing wrong with it, looks clean enough.

There are loads of threads on breakdown cover. I would do a search. People have different views and experiences. Remember Cashback sites, such as quidco, are your friend.

Following a signed vehicle today and was driven poorly but worst of all threw a cigarette butt out his window. I thought it was illeagal to smoke in a 'works' vehicle? Now do I report them or not? It's a real bug bear of mine! Such a disgusting thing to do. I'm not a namby pamby type of person, but it absolutely gets me worked up!

First time buyers, offer accepted!..Now what?
Sippo replied to Ally_bassman's topic in The Roadside Hotel
I would give anyone advice in that do NOT buy anything for the property until you have the keys in your hand. Don't want to scare you but we lost around £10k once. We exchanged on the property, and never received the keys (completed) as the seller was in negative equity. It was a nightmare, and more than likely, a one off. It's just a long drawn out process buying/selling a house. -
Think I saw you at Cricklade leisure centre on saturday night. I was the black octy parked opposite in the car park.

He uses OEM parts. And is probably making a good £100 out of me, but if it's cheaper than a skoda dealer then happy with that. I used to be fussed about a 'stamp' but on a 10 year old car, is it really worth it?
-
He's replacing the fuel filter as well. He is a skoda engineer.
-
I knew that, so what he's doing what a skoda dealer would do? No extra.
-
He's charging me £270 for the whole lot. Parts incl.
-
Been offered a 'deal' by someone I know. To do a service which includes - Pollen Filter Change; - Air Filter Change; - Oil and Filter Change; - Spark Plug Change; - DV Valve fit (part already supplied). Is this the same as a dealer service apart from the DV change. If so, he is charging me too much!

Don't get me wrong swindon prices have risen. We bought ours for £170,000 some 8 years ago, and sold for £194,000. We had estate agents say we could get £210k. Did they? No-where near!
-
That seems unrealistic to be honest. We've just sold ours 3 bed semi, in redhouse. Two parking spaces, decent condition, built in wardrobes. You would have made a profit, but not £50k in a year.

Get a decent mortgage broker. Mortgages are now valued on what you can afford.

Finally exchanged today. 5 months later. Shocking amount of time, considering it was a two transaction chain. Our buyers solicitors were right pains! Anyhow, we need to buy a range cooker. Any recommendations? Budget circa £1k.

Octavia MK2 FL 2.0 TDI CR DSG Elegance... fake vRS ;)
Sippo replied to lukigondi's topic in Octavia Projects
No offence, and a genuine question, why spend all the money trying to make it look like a vrs? Why not just buy one?
