  1. Welcome. Maybe nothing to do with your question, but. A Full Service history is good, what is it showing as been done, fixed or variable oil changes? Were the spark plugs changed at 40,000 miles? Has a VAQ diff been services at 30,000 miles / 3 years? Has the air filter been replaced?
  2. There are plenty towns and villages in Scotland or Straights with Digital Speed Signs with a frown or a smilly face and a speed read out. An accurate speed if you check with what ever. GPS / Sat nav, GPS / app on a watch or phone, a V-Box etc.
  3. At long last Right hand drive and the UK specs. This being the more powerful car. Maybe not long until they are shown being driven and reviewed with a driver have to use the screen while driving. The ICE Version. If that is not a Clam Shell bonnet what it is? There is no vent on the bonnet, that is obvious. ICE version.
  4. Those without ICE cars or the need to have food or goods delivered by ICE vehicles that live in the areas should have the right to clean air. That will be hardly anyone then. Those visiting on the odd occasion should maybe pay up and shut up. But then people like being rebels with a cause, even if they are not affected.
  5. The Supercar driving protesters are joined by Classic car owners and they have older cars. Exempt are they not? Then those in the modified cars and bothered about the elderly and disabled. Vehicles 'Disabled class' for VED are exempt are they not? It is all a bit of a jolly for many protesting or turning up at protests is it not!
  6. @MarkyG82 I had this one on loan for a week. This was the consumption taking it home on the back roads after the delivery driver had driven it 30 miles Perth to Dundee. It was amazing for fuel efficiency and could nip along. Over 70 mpg was easy even on the Motorway. It could hardly pull away in 1st to 2nd without bogging down so needed put into S. Hardly no physical buttons and the stuff not lit up on the dash. I was happy to hand it back.
  7. @linni did not say if the replacement Octavia driven last year was on the OEM tyres as it left the factory. I also drive cars that occasionally are 'Deadly accurate' as to the speedo and speee being done. They are not on the factory size tyres though.
  8. @MarkyG82 I just posted the further information to add to what you posted that might end up in the future as being not the full story. It matters not how less common they are if someone ends up getting one. @PetrolDave as an example. PS. As to DQ200,s. Not Octavia,s maybe, but now there are VW Group vehicles with 2.0 TDI,s with 115 ps and DQ200 DSG,s.
  9. Private users lease BEV,s just the same as they do ICE vehicles and where they can charge at home or work can save thousands a year on the annual cost compared to buying petrol or diesel. Depreciation will be calculated into the cost of the lease from those buying the BEV,s now and leasing them. The New Skoda models will be type approved in 2024 if being launched in 2025 or even 2026. Lets see what the actual RRP,s are when they can actually get them built and into show rooms because so far the spin from the early days has been a nonsense.
  10. There is a bottom for every seat.
  11. @STU3Y 340 miles from a tank. or brim to brim, a Octavia vRS tank is not only 10 gallons / 45 litres It is 50 litres and takes more than that or that from reserve showing.
  12. Below 1.5 *oC and 55 miles using 50% of the battery, shows 51 miles range. It showed 3.3 miles a kWh up to the hills and 3.6 coming back. Plugged in to 3 pin at 13.08 says 100% will be at 21.33.
  13. @SebSeb Which engine does your vRS have, Petrol TSI or a Diesel TDI. VW504 00 / 507 000 For fixed or Variable with a TSI, but it must be VW504 00 / 507 00 even if a TDI is fixed oil and filter changes. A TSI on Fixed Oil & filter servicing can use VW 502 00.
  14. @nta16 You have a typo '9,400'
  15. @STU3Y Is it only 340-350 miles you get from about 45.5 litres, or is that what the car shows as the 'Average mpg'?
  16. FWD 1.8 TSI,s also have DQ200,s. (Kodiaq 1.4 TSI ACT with AWD / Haldex or any AWD do not have a DQ200 DSG.)
  17. @Graham Butcher I just do not expect him to be talking mince. He is another one like the MacMaster, stuff is for the banter. They deliver the Vans / Minibuses on transporters quite often because the range is so poor. As for the delivery drivers i spent 1 hour with one taking a MINI from Aberdeen to London and even paid for his charge in Forfar by using my account. He was in Aberdeen delivering a Tesla and was taking one back & then was landed with a MINI electric. I felt sorry for him.
  18. They did did they not. They never 'Just towed it in'. They recovered it. But that what you get with those that say one thing and show another.
  19. OT. But e-Bikes. 2 teenagers killed that were riding pillion on it, 14 year old rider in hospital as is a driver. 4 cars involved in the crash up in Moray.
  20. The Vauxhall van must have been a 50 kW battery one and not a 75 kW. I do wish that people would use the correct language. The van could 'Roll' as it was being winched with the wheels turning and not like my Corsa electric that had to have Sliders because the Drive Wheels were locked when it broke down. ? It just drove up to the charger did it not?? Or is it winched to the charger. They can not normally drive with the drivers door open. Was it not run off the truck having been winched on some time ago on the motorway. They say not to, But they can be towed to put power into the battery, just like when you 'Coast' down a hill and regen.
  21. Take that in people. He has plugged into a 22 kW charger and the car has an onboard 11 kW AC charger, hence 26 mph showing. A 'Fast charger is 7 kW' maybe you can call it 11 kW. A Rapid is 43 kW AC / 50 kW DC, then above the you get 100, 100+, 125, 150, 250, 350 kW etc. The Citroen has a Max charge of 100 kW. On a 100 kW charger or a higher kW one. Reality, it could have been in Cruise Control and then put in ECO, or Drive rather than Sport, it would have used less electric and you do not need to worry about it feeling like a slug. If you need to accelerate you can, or just switch to Sport then back to ECO.
  22. Very normal if you do not check a cars oil level after a service to know where it is when cold or when it should be checked at normal operating temperature. Then never check again and top up as required Especially with 1.5 TSI ACT,s. Read the Owners Manual.
  23. 372 days, 1 year and a week. Allowing for PDI to delivery. Just incase a holiday in a years time at dealership. TDI,s only have Long Life oil. Regardless of Fixed or Variable servicing. VW504 00 / 507 00, as was them later VW508 00 / 509 00 (Fixed servicing TSI,s, VW502 00 can be used.) That does not show once they went to VW508 00 / 509 00 though.) The UK is not in km,s, and when VW, Audi, Skoda or SEAT do convert km to miles they to not even all agree if the car will show, 9,300, 9,400 or even 9,600 miles. Dealerships often just go on 10,000 miles when they speak about Fixed Service Regimes.
